//Philippines's POV

.

It was supposed to be like any other day. We were supposed to go back to classes tomorrow. But just an hour ago, students, parents, faculty and staff alike all recieved an email from the school's admin.

Dear students, parents/guardians, faculty, and staff,

Due to the pandemic, we regret to inform you about our difficult decision to close our school for the remainder of the school year. In accordance with WHO guidelines, our students will be quarantined in their dorms for two weeks. After that, they will be checked for any symptoms, before they may quickly be picked by their parents/guardians, and be quarantined in their families' homes for another two weeks. During this time, we advise students to begin packing their all their belongings.

ALL SOCIAL GATHERINGS/EVENTS FOR THE REST OF THE SCHOOL YEAR IS OFFICIALLY CANCELLED.

Students are to remain in their dorms, unless you need groceries or medicine. If that is the case, you are required to wear a mask outside AT ALL TIMES. Violators will be persecuted accordingly and appropriately.

Regarding masks, free resuable, washable masks will be distributed in front of each dorm.  If you feel any symptoms, prompting you to use a surgical mask, you may consult and inquire for one at our campus nurses' office, pharmacy, or hospital with Dr. W.H.O.

Your safety, welfare, health have always been our priorities. And that has not changed, especially during times like this. We only wish you and your families the  best during these trying times.

Students, we understand that this may be a tough and confusing time for you, but rest assured, we're all in this together. Practice good hygiene, eat healthy, and practice social distancing.

Sincerely,
Earth High admin team.

"... So this is it?" Indonesia asked. "

Malaysia shrugged. "I think it's best we start packing now."

We all sighed and agreed. Then we went and packed up our nonessential belongings, much of our going out clothes, and only left out home clothes enough for two weeks and our hygiene materials.

When we were done, we gathered once again in the living room and sat down, thinking about what we should do next.

"I'm going to the kitchen to make some milo. You guys want some?" Malaysia asked.

"Yes, please."

I smiled at him. "Yeah, why not?"

Malaysia nodded and went to the kitchen to make us some milo.

A few seconds pass when I get a video call from messenger.

I took my phone and checked the caller I.D. and sure enough, it was Tatay.

"Yo, my dad's calling. You guys mind if I take this?"

"Not at all." Malaysia called out from the kitchen.

"Yeah, we should actually check up on our own families, too." Indonesia got his laptop and earphones ready to video call his parents.

I got my own earphones and put them on before and answered Tatay. I smiled when I saw Nanay behind him and kuya D.P. in another camera. It looks like he's in his own dorm as well.

"Mga anak ko! Kamusta kayo dyan?" Nanay yelled out with a sad smile on her face. "Nakakalungkot ako dito habang wala kayo sa tabi ko!~"

"M-Mahal, nandito pa ako~"

"Iba yung kulit nila sa'yo, mahal."

Kuya and I chuckled at their litlle moment, when Malaysia came up to me with my milo... shake?

"Yeah, I don't know why, but I decided last minute to make a shake for you two, if that's okey-"

"Actually, Mal, this is even better. Salamat!" I smiled

"O, si baby Malaysia ba yan?"

I rolled my eyes. "'Nay, 'di na kami mga babies."

"Nonsense, you'll always be my babies!~" Nanay exclaimed. "Tell him and Indonesia that I said 'Hi'!"

I looked over to Malaysia, who was now getting his own laptop and earphones to call his family, and Indonesia.

"Hoy, mga bobo," I called out to them. "My mom says 'Hi'." I laughed.

"Anak! That's no way to talk to your friends!-"

Ay shet, I forgot that my mic was still on.

Malaysia and Indonesia looked at me and smirked. "Tell her we said 'Hi', bodoh."

"They return the greetings, 'Nay."

For a few hours, we talked about random things, with Nanay reminding me and kuya to 'wash our hands' and 'eat healthy' every once in a while. We talked about how much we missed each other, and our gameplan when they pick us up from here.

"It's crazy how Pip and I live only a few doors down, yet we're not allowed to see each other." Kuya said, with a hint of sadness in his tone.

"Alam natin ng Nanay nyo na mahirap at masakit ang situation natin, pero it could be worse." Tatay said. "You could be on the frontlines along with the medics and grocery staff- ARAY!"

Nanay smacked him in the back of the head.

I shook my head. "Hindi, 'Nay. Tatay has a point." I smiled weakly.

She, Tatay, and kuya all looked at me with a hint of sadness in their eyes.

Perhaps... Perhaps it's because they know that... after high school, I want to be a nurse...

"O-Oo nga pala, Pip. Yung pangarap mo maging nurse... sigurado ka ba ngayon na gusto mo ituloy yan?" Kuya asked me with concern in his voice. "Mas lalo na sa ganitong situation?"

I let out a small smile. "I've never been more certain of anything in my entire life."

Tatay smiled. "That's my son."

Kuya and Nanay smiled at me as well.
