liv. Talk about luck
Season two, chapter fifty-four
"Hey y'all
I got a dumb idea"
THEA SQUEEZED HER hands on the table, the man in the yellow hoodie possessed an unimaginable strength, his-fast lightning reflexes left her and Hana utterly defenseless. The chilling memory of those fateful hours sent shivers down her spine, and as she relives the harrowing ordeal, she still feels the lingering tension in her muscles.
"He was fast and definitely much stronger than he looked" Mun began to explain. Each person eagerly listened, ensconced in their wooden chairs, as agreement echoed through their nods "This must mean the other two are in Korea as well, right?"
"I'd say it's highly likely" Jangmul responded nodding his head, as his striking lips remained once again firmly sealed
"He'll avoid the territory from now on since that's how he met us. It's going to be harder to catch them" Ms. Chu added, her countenance brimming with wisdom. Her piercing gaze, avoiding direct contact, allows her profound insights to simmer
"My wrath is overflowing" Jeok-bong exclaimed confidently getting up from his seat "Take me with you next time. I'm going to break the bastard's wrists for what he did..." With resilience in his bones, he resolutely returns to the humble wooden chair
"Your wrath? It's overflowing? Do you have to talk like that?" Mo-tak's frustration was palpable as he glanced around the room. The air was heavy with annoyance, and it seemed like nobody had the patience for Jeok-bong's flamboyant performance
"Ms. So wasn't the only victim I saw in his memories" Hana explained drawing the group's attention back to her
"What do you mean?" Ms. Chu asked with a frown
"I also saw Min-ji. He definitely met her" Hana revealed while Thea finds herself entangled in a web of confusion, her inquisitive mind piecing together the elusive puzzle right before our eyes
"Ms. Lee?" Mun asked with a frown, just as confused as everyone else "But why?"
"It was a vague memory. However, it was definitely her. And she was pleading for her life" Hana continued to explain as Thea, the silent observer, unearths the hidden truths
"What?"
"She was begging him to spare her?" Ms. Chu asked in surprise, standing up from her seat as Hana nodded "Didn't the police point out her killer? They even had the CCTV footage"
"Yes, you're right" Mo-tak agreed, standing up from his seat with his eyes wide open
"Didn't they say that crook woke up?" Mun questioned shaking his head in disbelief
Thea bit her lower lip, if her suspicions were true she would not hesitate to put an end to those evil spirits herself, with her own bare hands.

In the depths of her piercing gaze lay emotions that scorched flames - an inferno anger of, hatred, and resentment. Under the weight of her fury, her delicate hands clenched into fists, her nails leaving imprints upon her palms. Oblivious to the crimson liquid coursing through her fingers, she personified the ultimate embodiment of wrath.
"All of this is their doing?" Ms. Chu asked in horror at the words that came out of Hana's mouth
"Mr. Hwang is the leader. He uses psychokinesis" Hana began to explain "The guy we met has healing powers, and the woman probably controls memories"
"Those bastards deserve to die" Ms. Chu exclaimed through clenched teeth
In the blink of an eye, the table in front of them quakes with an inexplicable force. All eyes turn to Thea, whose perplexed expression reveals her innocence. But it is Mun, etched with a resolute determination, whose gaze plunges into the very heart of the matter. Devoid of fear, his eyes burn with a toxic mix of sheer contempt and haunting grudges, refusing to waver from the table that pulsates with growing intensity.
"Mun..." Mun's world is suddenly awakened by the gentle touch of his girlfriend's warm hand on his shoulder, resonating with Thea's tender voice
"Those crazy bastards. Ms. Lee was pregnant, but they didn't even hesitate to kill her. Plus, they enjoyed it" Mun's voice reverberated with unyielding passion and visceral emotions, echoing his deep-seated anger and profound disgust
"Let's pay them back. We have to. Let's avenge the Chinese Counters and Ms. Lee" Mo-tak began to say with determination yet with anger "I'll never forgive those damn evil spirits"
"Of course. Those bastards will regret setting foot into this country" Jangmul added, adjusting his glasses
"The battle has begun. We've identified them" Thea stood tall, her unwavering faith in herself and her team ready to conquer the impossible
"It's possible that they could flee. Mo-tak, tell all your colleagues to stay alert so they can't escape" Ms. Chu explained as Mo-tak nodded his head in agreement "You too, Hana, Thea. I need you to be focused on catching them"
Thea's resolute nod seals her fate. With vengeance burning in her eyes, she vows to serve justice to those despicable fiends who dared trample upon their country.

In Thea's entranced gaze, Mun's fingers danced with the delicate lines on the blank paper, coaxing forth a magnificent masterpiece that stole her breath away.
"No, he has smaller eyes" Hana pointed to the drawing on the sheet of paper "His mouth was wider"
"Like this?" Mun asked, drawing a line on the sheet of paper as Hana instructed
"Yeah"
Three drawings lie on the wooden table, depicting the very individuals responsible for the tragic demise of Min-ji, China's beloved heroes and the other innocent victims who also suffered a tragic death because of those bastards.
"You say you're always busy when drawing new characters" Ung-min began to say, approaching the trio with arms crossed over his chest"Jeez, what's that?"
"Hey, he's handsome" Ju-yeon admired, her arms crossed over her chest. As her eyes dance across Mun's latest creation, a smile plays on her lips
"How is that good-looking?" Ung-min can't help but be suspicious as he asks the question, a hint of jealousy coloring his tone
"He's pretty handsome," Ju-yeon repeated, mischief reigns supreme as play shefully tilts her head, leaving a mischievous smile dancing on her lips
"Don't be absurd" Ung-nim's serious face leaves Thea puzzled and questioning their strange relationship
"Hey. Enough with your lovers' quarrel and go finish your food" Mun exclaimed in amusement, completely forgetting about both girls standing behind him
"Hey"
"Hey"
Hana and Thea's lives are turned upside down by the unexpected revelation of Ju-yeon and Ung-min's hidden relationship. As the truth unravels, Hana and Thea are left utterly stunned. With eyes wide open, they find themselves shocked of—the revelation that neither Hana nor Thea saw coming.
"Are you two..." Hana began to say almost stuttering, looking at both teenagers with pure surprise
"Dating?" Thea interjected, her gaze shifting between the two teens, her index finger poised with a hint of accusation
"What?"
"No"
"Yes"
"You had it well kept," Thea pointed out, a mischievous smile forming on her reddish lips
"Since when? When did you start? Everyone knows but us?" Hana's inquisitive nature got the best of her as she pointed at herself and Thea, her eyes urging for an explanation. Thea, unyielding and poised, awaited their responses
"No" Ung-min shook his head, refusing to answer all their questions
"You little... let's do better"
"Jun-hui. Do you want to draw with us?" Mun asked as he approaches the little boy sitting amidst a symphony of school supplies
"Let's talk later," Thea warned the couple, trying her best to look intimidating
"Feel free to do so whenever you want. Okay?" Mun proceeded to say, the others approaching the table where Jun-hui remained sitting all alone
"Didn't you know, Mun? Jun-hui is a great artist" Ju-yeon praised, sitting next to the little boy who had no intention of opening his mouth to say anything
"She's right. Maybe we should kick you out and recruit Jun-hui as our new member" Ung-min exclaimed with a mocking smile
"No, thanks" Jun-hui's swift rejection left Ung-min's smile fading, and Mun bursting into laughter
"No? Why?" Ung-min asked with a frown, embarrassed by the sudden rejection
"Don't you know he dislikes you?" Ju-yeon pointed with amusement
"Why would he? I..." Ung-min began to say, stumbling over his own words, while Mun laughed out loud "That's not true, is it? You like me, right?"
"He likes pork cutlet, not you" Ms. Chu interrupted holding a tray in her hands, laughing amusingly "Right? Goodness, you look more handsome after getting a haircut. Eat up" She placed a porcelain plate in front of the little boy
"Where's Jeok-bong?" As Thea innocently poses a simple question, the atmosphere around her suddenly changes and she witnesses a chilling transformation in Mun's demeanor as if just hearing Jeok-bong's name disgusted him and even more so when it came out of his girlfriend's mouth
"He's training with Mo-tak" Ms. Chu responded, swinging the tray back and forth "What did you draw? Goodness, that's impressive"
Thea's heart dances with joy as she catches Mun's longing gaze. Their affectionate embrace sends sparks flying, as if the whole world fades away, leaving only their tender connection. Ignoring the curious onlookers, Thea surrenders to the intoxicating allure her of boyfriend's lips, and in that magical moment, Thea joined her lips with her boyfriend's in a sweet but short kiss full of love.
Thea playfully tousled Mun's luscious curls, relishing in the joy that sprang from her actions. As her beloved's infectious laughter filled the air, it echoed like a mesmerizing melody in her heart.
"That looks delicious. Right?" Mun's attention momentarily drifted from the scrumptious delicacies arranged on Jun-hui's plate. His gaze fixated on the mesmerizing presence of his girlfriend, whose mischievous act, reminiscent of her childhood, left him both captivated and enticed
"Hello" As soon as the glass door of the restaurant opened, Thea changed her expression to a friendly and welcoming smile
"Come in. Look at who's here!" Ms. Chu's face instantly lights up with joy as she catches sight of a woman gracefully stepping into the restaurant, escorted by a merry group of children following closely behind
"Yeah, who are they?" Mun ran to stop the older woman, pointing out with his eyes that the woman did not remember them because her memory had been erased right after saving them
"Right. Come on in" Ms. Chu asked, covering her mouth as she realized what she had said
"Do you have a kids' menu too?" The woman asked, encouraging the children to enter the restaurant
"Of course. Kids love our noodles. Come on in" Ms. Chu responded with a big smile that made her eyes close completely "Sit here. You can sit there too"
"Jun-hui. You have friends now. Okay? Say hi" Mun started to say excitedly, even more excited than Jun-hui was
"Hi" Greeted the little girl sitting in front of Jun-hui, whose eyes seemed to shine with admiration
"Good girl" Mun praised however Jun-hui finds himself entranced by the mesmerizing young girl "Say hi, Jun-hui. 'Hi'" Mun took the boy's hand moving it in the air
"Hi" Thea moved the girl's with ease, her serene expression blossoms into a gentle smile, mirrored by the sweet little girl by her side
"Can you help over there?" Hana asked Thea who stood back on her feet
"Of course. I'll go help Ms. Chu cook the noodles" Thea nodded as she searched for her elusive hair tie that seemed to have mysteriously disappeared
"Ten banquet noodles and three pork cutlets," Mun said out loud, amusingly showing her the hair tie that Thea was looking for
"The cutlets are on the house" Ms. Chu exclaimed opening the kitchen curtain causing the little children to celebrate happily
"You naughty little boy" Thea's delicate touch as she brushed the hair tie from Mun's hands left him yearning for a reward he never expected. But fate had other plans, as the elusive brown-haired beauty slipped away, evading his embracing grasp
Unbeknownst to them, an enigmatic figure with radiant brown eyes meticulously tracks their every step, brimming with a captivating mix of anticipation, joy, and solace. As Thea retreats into the heart of the kitchen, their lips turned into a grateful yet tender smile.
