Season one, chapter thirty-four

"These people are the
best part of me"

"They're getting five burner phones" Hana's voice echoed through the device in Thea's ear

"Five? Hang-gyu and Chang-gyu must be getting out" Mo-tak exclaimed, sitting in a chair around a table in the basement of the restaurant, in the company of both teenagers who seemed to be immersed in their own world

"Just a second. I did it. All done" Ms. Chu said minutes later

"Hey, woman" The voice of a stranger was heard

"Mimi!"

"What the..."

"Mimi! Where did this dog go? Mimi!"

"Whats this woman? Hey, what are you doing?"

"Mimi! My gosh"

"Confirmed" Mun exclaimed as the car locations appeared on the cell phone in his hand while the other was intertwined with Thea's who could feel the butterflies flying all over her stomach

She didn't even have time to make fun of the woman who was screaming for her supposedly lost dog, she felt that if she spoke, butterflies would fly out of her mouth and it's probably a strange thing to say but she wouldn't mind vomiting butterflies if it means being able to hold her her boyfriend's hand like this.

"Hey. Get some bullets ready, Mr. Cho. Five billion won. In cash"

"Five billion? The entire amount in cash?"

"He took the bait" Mun exclaimed, hitting the table with one of his hands

"What do you need it for?"

"I just need to show it to someone"

"The game has begun" Mun exclaimed after the mayor ended the call

"Sleep well tonight" Ms. Chu recommended them, looking at each of the counter members

"Why are they not making a move?" Mo-tak asked, looking through the window at the car a few meters away from them

"That's Noh Chang-gyu" Mun pointed out gasping in surprise

"Down!" Ms. Chu exclaimed and everyone shrank in their seats so as not to be seen by the group of thugs "They think we're dead. We can't be seen" Thea narrowed her eyes as she watched the group of men load some blue suitcases into the trunk of their car

"Which car we tail?" Mo-tak asked stupidly

"The one with the suitcases" Hana exclaimed with arched eyebrows probably wondering if he's stupid or just playing dumb

"Yes, obviously" Mun added

"Let's go"

"People called me a smart cookie when I was little" Mo-tak defended himself before stepping on the accelerator

Should I explain what's happening here? Well, basically they were going to steal Mayor Shin's five billion won so they could destroy his small group of scammers and then return the stolen money to their respective owners. Because although Thea was more tempted to spend all that money, she had more than enough back home.

"These guys need a break. They're cleaning out all the banks" Mo-tak explained after having followed the car to another bank

And to be honest Thea didn't think this was the last bank they would go to.

"Looks like they'll keep taking cash out until the banks close" Mo-tak commented with binoculars in his hands

"We should thank them for doing this" Ms. Chu exclaimed

"But one of the cars is at the reservoir now" Mun exclaimed with a tablet in his hands

"What?" Thea questioned, scooting over to the boy on her side so she could take a look at the tablet screen. Mun moved the tablet to the side so that his girlfriend could see well and could confirm what his eyes were seeing

"The reservoir?" Mo-tak removed the binoculars from his face

"Oh, I think this is the one that Noh Chang-gyu was in earlier" Thea confirmed pointing at the device screen

"Wait, Noh Chang-gyu is at the reservoir now?"

"Hey, they're leaving" Hana pointed out as everyone ducked when the car passed close to theirs

"They're gone" Mun assured hitting Mo-tak's shoulder who then began driving once again

"This is probably the last stop" Hana claimed once they were in a parking lot spying on the same car they were targeting

Suddenly one of the phones started ringing and Mun quickly grabbed it, connecting some headphones to the cell phone and then putting them in his ears so he could hear better.

"A suitcase?" Mun muttered with a frown

"What?"

"That's what he found at the reservoir" Mun explained, tilting his head to the side

"A suitcase?"

"Not one of those? There's another suitcase?" Ms. Chu pointed out before leaning back in her seat when she realized that she could be seen

"Oh I see"

"Mo-tak, it's 4 p.m. now" Hana reminded him

"Okay, let the operation begin" Mo-tak responded before pulling up his black mask like everyone else as Mun carefully got out of the car to go and flatten the tires of the car they were targeting

Mo-tak got out of the car seconds later and Ms. Chu took the wheel. Parking it next to the black car that contained all the money while Thea opened the car door so Mun could get in without any problem.

"Guys, quick"

Thus they waited for the thugs to return to the car with the intention of noticing the tire with no air so that the group of counters could then proceed with the next step of the plan.

"Hello, we just put in an emergency service due to a flat tire. Oh, my husband did. But you don't need to come. It looks like it just lost a little air. We can get it fixed on our own" Ms. Chu began to say with the phone against her ear "Sorry for the trouble. Yes, thank you. And I love you back" She hung up the call "Mo-tak, come in"

Thus the second stage of the plan began. Thea watched as Mo-tak got out of that distinguished car dressed in a different way so as to not be recognized and then approached the black car. He then opened the trunk of the car where all the blue suitcases full of money resided and seconds later the men got out of the car. Mo-tak started putting on quite a show to distract them and that managed to make the teenage duo laugh in amusement.

Who seemed to have their faces pressed against the window glass, watching the older man with amusement.

"We just need to knock that guy out" Ms. Chu complained, turning to look at Hana on the passenger side, as if telling her what was on her mind with just a glance. She then lowered the glass of the window before knocking on the window of the other car and quickly ducking into her seat

"Excuse me" Hana said with a smile

"You're pretty. Hey, gorgeous. What's up?" The man said with a flirtatious smile as he lowered the glass

"Peekaboo" Ms. Chu exclaimed startling him for a few seconds before putting him to sleep

Mun then took the opportunity to enter the opposite car now clear and out of danger. He took one of the blue suitcases full of money before passing it to Thea who was waiting for him at the car door. So she put the heavy suitcase in the trunk. And once she put all the suitcases in, she began to hand him the suitcases that would replace the original ones, these were full of water bottles.

Once Mun finished putting the fake suitcases, Thea motioned for him to remove the memory card in the camera in front, Mun nodded in her direction before carefully leaning forward so he could start looking for a way to remove that card.

"Hurry" The exclaimed "Hurry!" She said again, seeing how the men approached the car and could see them at any second "Hey, hurry!"

"Hey, wait. Wait" Mo-tak began to say making Thea open her eyes wide. She nimbly pulled Mun into the car using her psychokinesis to close the door of the opposing car

The teenager closed the door behind him, leaning against his girlfriend's chest, which was rapidly rising and falling due to the adrenaline that ran through her entire body for at least a few minutes.

"The memory card?" Ms. Chu asked as Mun raised his hand in the air showing the memory card letting out a small laugh of relief. Thea sighed in relief, hugging the boy to her chest with adoration, who did not hesitate to wrap his arms around Thea's waist, enjoying every second of the affection that she gave him

"Good job," Thea said with a content smile as Ms. Chu gave them a thumbs up

Hana moved to the back seats with a frown on her face probably because of how lovey-dovey those two teenagers were acting. Forcing the couple to separate from each other so they could take a seat in the car seats, Thea giggled as she noticed the pout on her boyfriend's lips as he apparently disliked the idea of ​​being separated from her.

Although there was not much she could do about it, she waited until the gazes of the people around her were away from them and so she quickly placed a kiss on the boy's cheek that turned red in a matter of seconds, drawing a silly smile on his lips as he had gotten what he wanted.

"Well done" Ms. Chu congratulated, certainly oblivious to what was happening behind her, she then fastened her seat belt when Mo-tak got into the car

"Let's go to the reservoir" Mo-tak exclaimed removing the fake glasses that were resting on the bridge of his face

"What?"

"Why?"

"The yellow suitcase Noh Chang-gyu found... it must have something to do with Kim Yeong-nim. Otherwise, he wouldn't have gone all the way there and dug it up himself" Mo-tak explained with a serious expression

"Let's go" Ms. Chu said sighing, giving up on trying to reason with him

"Let's go" So the car began to move forward once again
