When the weekend finally rolled around, Alya invited her new friends to hang out with her at the park and talk.

Misaki and Jamie chatted as they strolled into the park.

"I swear, I don't have a thing for redheads!" Jamie argued, playfully hitting her best friend's arm.

"Then what was all that blushing you did with Nathaniel? Was he not a redhead?" Misaki teased, letting out a laugh.

"That. Was. Embarrassment. I literally bumped into him and-" Jamie stopped herself when she was Alya was at the bench, "Hey, Alya is already here!"

Misaki smiled, particularly with the growing excitement that she would be able to spend time with her old best friend once more.

"Hey Misaki! Hey Jamie!" Alya yelled out, waving to greet them from across the park.

"HI!" Jamie yelled back, unknowingly causing Misaki a headache with her loud voice.

When she saw the slight annoyance on her friend's face, she quickly apologized, "Whoops! I'm so sorry, Misaki!"

"It's fine," Misaki replied, laughing a little.

When Alya came closer, Misaki waved at her.

"Hey girl! So how are you guys?" Alya asked.

"Oh, we were just bored. It's nice to see you," Misaki lifted a smile to her face.

"It sure is!" Jamie smiled. She bit her lip and looked to the floor.

"So how are you?" Misaki asked Alya.

"Good... mostly. I don't know. I've just found that I've been missing my best friend more than usual," Alya replied with a sigh.

"Marinette?" Misaki guessed.

"Yeah, I don't know... It's been a while since I've seen her and I just- I wish I could've been there to save her," Alya whispered the last part.

"Alya-" Jamie began to say, but her quieter voice was drowned out by both girls who began to converse. She pulled her hand back and knew they would need to make this a conversation that was only between the two of them. This was between Marinette and Alya.

"Oh no! I totally forgot that I had a doctor appointment! I'll see you guys later!" Jamie pretended to panic as she looked at the bracelet on her wrist. She bursted off in a sprint, leaving both girls confused.

"Anyways Alya, you're an amazing friend! I'm sure this Marinette girl appreciated everything you did. What was she like?" Misaki questioned softly.

"Marinette was a really sweet girl. She was more clumsy than you'd ever know, but she had the biggest heart," Alya laughed a little, wiping a stray tear that had fallen down her cheek.

"The bi-biggest heart?" Misaki repeated, now on the verge of tears.

"Yeah! She always had my back and I always had hers... up until the moment she needed me the most. I wasn't even there to say goodbye... She would hate me!" Alya began to cry, her face crumpled as more tears rolled down her cheeks.

"No, no! I wouldn't- think she'd hate you! Alya, even if it doesn't feel like it, just know that Marinette is always by you. You're not alone. She's always with you!" Misaki quickly attempted at comforting her friend.

More than anything, Misaki wanted to tell Alya she was her best friend. It broke her heart to see her best friend so sad over her when she wasn't even gone.

Alya smiled a little and looked to meet Misaki's eyes where she felt some familiarity. "You know Misaki, you remind me a lot of Marinette," she giggled a little, still wiping tears from her cheeks with her sleeves. Misaki pulled Alya into a hug.

After some more chatting and catching up, her friend began to smirk.

"What's with that face? It's making me a little nervous," Misaki laughed nervously.

"A little birdie told me that someone has a thing for blonde boys. Marinette used to like Adrien, but I'm sure she wouldn't mind if you went out with him. You know, I think with all your similarities, you and Marinette would be great friends!" Alya laughed, causing Misaki to flush red.

"Which little birdie told you these things?!" Misaki's face burned as she thought of her crush on Adrien.

"I'm sure you know," she giggled in reply.

Misaki groaned as Alya was laughing. This caused her to smile a little through her groans. To Misaki, this was just like old times where her and her best friend could laugh and have a good time.

Suddenly a laser started coming at Alya, so Misaki pulled her away as fast as she could. The two girls looked to the source of the laser to see a green fairy.

"I am Burning Emerald and you all will pay for what you've done!" The akuma shot more lasers. Finally, the akuma shot a laser at a person where they were picked up by it.

"What is going on?! I've gotta get this for the LadyBlog!" Alya screeched.

"Oh no you don't! It's dangerous!" Misaki began to attempt at dragging her best friend out of the park.

Another laser shot near them, causing the two girls to scatter.

"There's no way I'm missing this!" Alya yelled as she ran away.

"Aly-" Marinette tried to call out to her friend, but was too late. "Seriously?!" She grumbled. How long had it been since she last saw an akuma attack? It had felt like ages.

"I guess I'll just phone Jamie..." She muttered. She picked up her phone, and called her flatmate. No answer. "Ugh... Where is she?!"

After spending a bit of time debating on what to do, Marinette finally decided to go back to the apartment before the akuma got close to her. There was no way in hell she was gonna meet this new Ladybug.

Try as she might to get away from the attack, she soon found herself paralyzed. She tried to scream, but nothing came out. She saw a layer of green light over her vision like a force field.

Ladybug saw what looked like a fairy with a wand straight ahead. "What in the world?" She thought aloud. She jumped closer to this fairy, enough to see what it looked like. It had light green skin, spiky green hair, a long green dress that was crystalized, and had red eyes. She got closer to see what she was holding, and that made her drop to her knees. "Misaki..." She whispered.

She didn't know what to do or how to feel about this. She had just begun being Ladybug a week ago, and still barely knew what to do. A sudden rage engulfed her senses; making her realize she needed to do something about it. She stood up, and swung up to the villian.

"Hey you!" Ladybug called out, "Let her go!"

The villian laughed. "And why would I do such a thing like that?"

Ladybug gritted her teeth and clenched her fists. "Let her go!"

The akuma sighed. "Oh alright. I didn't really wanna do this, but you leave me no choice!" She laughed and spun around really fast, then let Marinette go.

Marinette was thrown through the air as she let out a blood curtling scream. Ladybug quickly jumped to the girl, catching her. Marinette sighed in relief, but her anxiety kicked in once more as soon as she saw the familiar red mask.

"Are you okay?" Asked Ladybug.

Marinette was still scared half to death. She couldn't find any words slip out of her throat. She slowly nodded her head.

Ladybug was even more relieved, but that feeling soon ended when she saw the akuma chasing them.

"I'll get you to safety." Said Ladybug, as she swung the girl to the Eiffel Tower.

"I don't think I'll ever be almost killed by a fairy again so I'll value this moment." Marinette joked to hide her nervousness.

Everything was totally okay for the 2 until the tower shook, making Marinette slip from Ladybug's grasp.

Ladybug gasped, and tried to reach out for the falling, screaming girl. The akuma laughed and flew after her.

Marinette was panicking, knowing She was gonna die. "Please don't reincarnate me, god! Please!" She begged. She closed her eyes, making Ladybug panic more. Soon, a pair of arms caught Marinette.

"Are you alright, Madam?" Asked a very familiar voice. Marinette looked up to see a pair of green eyes that pierced her mind forever. Chat Noir.

"Are you alright?" Chat repeated.

Marinette slowly nodded.

Chat smirked. "Wow. You went crazy enough to fall for me!"

Marinette couldn't help but smile at that pun. She felt happy until she remembered what he did, then she was terrified.

"I'm not losing this battle." Yelled the akuma from behind.

Chat Noir smirked. "Get ready for a wild ride you'll never forget."

He began running, holding Marinette bridal style. He jumped from building to building as Marinette felt her heart pound in her chest, afraid he'd end her life in another way.

"You afraid of heights?" Asked Chat.

"K-kinda...." Marinette stuttered, "W-why?"

"You better close your eyes or be ready to get over your fear of heights!"

Before Marinette could answer, Chat extended his staff and they were in the air for a second. Marinette was freaking out inside. How could she trust him after what he did? She had the advantage of him not knowing it was really his old lady. A few minutes of jumping from crazy high buildings, Chat set her down.

Ladybug rushed over to them. "Are you okay Mar- Misa- YOU?!"

Marinette slowly nodded, a bit confused. "I'm just tired now... after almost dying because of a fairy twice and yeah..."

"Would you like me to walk you home?" Asked Chat Noir.

"Thanks for the offer, but I'm fine." Misaki politely replied.

"Maybe she should be walked back." Said Ladybug. "After that trauma."

"I'm not traumatized... I'm fine..." Muttered Marinette.

"I'll do the honors." Said Chat Noir.

"I said no!!" Yelled Marinette in an anxious panic. She then ran away.

"Maybe we should leave her be..." Said Ladybug. "Let's get that akuma!" The 2 heroes jumped into the distance as Marinette's phone rang. Alya. She knew exactly what her friend was gonna ask, and smiled as she answered.
