"Umm... I gotta go, Chat Noir! See ya later! Stay clawsome! Bye!" Jamie squeaked before swinging away on her yoyo, her face red from humiliating herself on camera.

Quickly enough, she detransformed in an alleyway and walked back to the apartment where Marinette was.

"Hey Marisaki," Jamie commented, throwing her keys on the table as Tikki hid in her denim jacket.

"Marisaki? Almost sounds like Marinette..." Tikki whispered to herself, becoming sad as she remembered her old holder and how she was killed.

Jamie heard the kwami murmuring to herself, but coughed out so Tikki's voice would be drowned out in her loud coughs.

When Marinette didn't respond, Jamie worried. She quickly went to her room and allowed Tikki to hide somewhere else in her room.

She went back to the living room and saw Marinette in front of the television.

"Is something wrong?" Jamie asked her friend.

"I think someone else has the miraculous. How did they get it so quickly?" Marinette shook her head, causing Jamie to mentally panic. While her head was turned, Jamie was silently screaming and kicking pillows across the room and onto the couch.

Marinette turned around and Jamie quickly regained her posture, acting like she hadn't done anything. "Hmm? That's kinda strange! You know... I'm not sure what's going on here! Better go solve the math like problems! I mean the problems like math!"

Marinette rose an eyebrow, confused by her friend's panic. Jamie bursted back into her room and shut the door.

"Tikki! I think she's onto us!" Jamie whisper-shouted.

"She's not onto us! Misaki will never find out!" Tikki insisted loudly.

"Please be quieter!" Jamie begged in a hushed tone.

Marinette heard Jamie and another voice talking. She tilted her head curiously, but ignored it. She decided if it got any louder, she would inquire.

"I am pretty quiet! You should be scolding Plagg! He's loud, obnoxious, and noisy!" Tikki crossed her tiny arms and let out a small "hmph!"

"Who is Plagg?!" Jamie asked loudly.

I definitely heard that, Marinette thought to herself as she got up to get a better perspective of what Jamie was saying.

"Nobody, nothing! Quiet! She's coming!" Tikki yelled in a hushed whisper.

"Oh crap! What do I say if she asks me?!" Jamie asked Tikki panickedly.

"Just stay calm and lie! All my older holders would be required to lie, so just think of it as a bended truth!" Tikki assured her.

"That's the definition of lying!" Jamie tugged at her sleeve frustratedly, "I'm a horrible liar!"

Tikki facepalmed and hid away as she heard a knock at Jamie's door. Her eyes widened and she walked up to open the door, taking a deep breath.

"Heya Marisaki!" Jamie grinned nervously.

"It's Misaki, not Marisaki," she groaned.

"Of course Marisaki. Anyways what's up?" Jamie asked, making friendly finger guns towards Marinette.

"I heard voices. Are you talking to someone?" Marinette inquired.

"Me? Talk to someone? Yeah, totally! I was on the... phone! Yeah, I was on the phone with my mom," Jamie chuckled nervously, lying through her teeth.

"Oh... Okay then," Marinette curiously tilted her head again then left the room. Jamie disliked, no, absolutely hated lying. Her fake lies were so easy to see through. Often, she felt like a plastic cover sheet, could see whatever was stored right through her. Even she could tell that Marinette wasn't buying it, but just decided not to persist.

When she shut the door again, she sighed sadly.

"Why do I have to lie, Tikki? This isn't me. Are you even sure I'm cut out to be Ladybug? I haven't even defeated an akuma yet," Jamie realized as she sat on her bed beside the kwami who sprawled herself out on the sheets.

"You'll be doing it soon, trust me," Tikki reassured Jamie.

"Fight an akuma? Yes! Beat the akuma and win the battle? I don't really think so..." Jamie looked towards her feet.

"If my old holder, Marinette did it, there's no doubt you can't do it! Marinette was always so clumsy, but she was amazing at what she did! All my Ladybugs were," Tikki nuzzled her shoulder, giving Jamie a little ticklish sensation. She giggled a little and held the kwami in a hand.

"I hope so... Thanks for having faith in me, Tikki," Jamie gently smiled. Tikki kindly returned the smile, but paused when she heard a scream outside.

Both rushed to the window to see what caused the noise, but became alarmed when they noticed an angered monster.

Jamie had to blink twice to confirm this wasn't something her mind was making up.

An actual monster. How in the world is there an actual monster?! I mean, she just learned that akumas were not a myth, but now she finds that these poor citizens have actually turned into monsters?!

"Jamie?" Tikki looked over at her with concern.

Taking a deep breath and clenching her fists, Jamie narrowed her eyes towards the monster who was meters away from her apartment window and stomping in a different direction.

"Tikki, it's time. Spots on!" Jamie declared, reaching over to lift her earlobe which held the earrings. Tikki was sucked in, and there she began her transformation.

She reached for her yoyo which had just appeared, then opened her window. Jamie swung her yoyo out to grab onto a nearby rooftop where she could gain a better perspective of this akumatized victim. She was pulled to her destination when Chat Noir arrived on the scene.

"Are you okay, Ladybug?" He asked.

"Just fine. But what is that? How did she turn into that?" Jamie asked him, her eyes obviously reflecting the confusion and fear she was trying to keep away.

"The akuma? She must've been really upset," Chat Noir shook his head.

Her skin was now purple and she was shaped like a cake. The monster was literally a gigantic walking cake. It's arms shot rays that would cause any person to turn into food.

"It turns people into food?!" Jamie screeched, jumping behind Chat Noir.

Chat was surprised by her fearful response. Normally, she never feared any akuma, no matter what the size or type it was. However, he took into understanding that she was just trying again for the first time in a while and had forgotten how strange some akumas are.

"It's okay, Ladybug. Let's find the object that's holding the akuma, then you can break it. Remember to call upon a Lucky Charm if you feel trapped," Chat reminded her, helping her feel as if she had a plan. Jamie nodded back at him and begun to see where she could find the object on the cake.

Chat Noir used his staff to extend and take himself towards the akuma as a distraction.

"Hey Foodie, what's your story? Man, I'm just so hungry to find out!" Chat Noir shook his head before dodging a ray she shot at him.

"I am Food-Turner and they always say you are what you eat!" The akuma cackled, "I was always called overweight by everyone, so they can just be food now!"

"They were wrong for being rude, but are you sure turning people to food will change anything? You should tell a trusted adult. Wouldn't you feel better if they apologized?" Chat Noir asked her.

Meanwhile, Jamie was trying to figure out where in the world the akumatized object was on the cake. Was it in the cake?

"Be quiet and just shove a carrot in it!" Food Turner shot a group of people with her ray, turning them into different foods. She shot a carrot in his mouth to shut him up and melted a caramel person with her vision, then poured it on Chat Noir. Trapping him against the wall, she was about to turn him into food.

Quickly he spit out the carrot, then used his superpower to break out of the caramel, "Cataclysm!"

Without another word, she trapped him in a candy-cane cage.

Jamie had no clue whatsoever to do, so she used her power. "Lucky charm?"

A leash fell to her rescue, straight into her hand.

"What in the world am I supposed to do with a stinking leash?!" Jamie asked, throwing her hands up dramatically and looking towards the sky.

Her vision went black and white, and she looked around where she saw her powers indicate to use a dog, her leash, then the akumatized cake victim.

Jamie somehow figured what that meant, so she took the leash and clipped it on the dog's collar. She walked up to the akuma, and the dog growled at the cake, causing her to drop the ray. The dog lunged at the ray and ate it, since it was made of some sort of candy.

The cake used its heat vision at Jamie, but she avoided it with a screech. She noticed one non-food item on the cake, and that was a bracelet on her wrist.

"Chat Noir?!" Jamie yelped out, hoping he could somehow jump in and take the bracelet.

"I'm in here, LB!" Chat Noir called out to her from his cage, which he was trying to break.

Another ray from her heat vision was shot at Jamie, but she avoided it and it burned through a hole on the candy-cane cage.

"Wait... Chat, maybe if we get her to shoot through your cage enough times, she'll make a large enough hole to let you out of," Jamie told him.

"Great idea, but how will she shoot this cage?" Chat asked her.

"I'll keep avoiding the heat rays!"

"Please be careful..."

"I will!"

From that, Jamie begun to provoke the akuma and make her angry. "Come on, aren't you supposed to be frosting me instead of heating? I thought cakes liked frosting!"

"Shut up!" The cake kept trying to shoot her with her heat rays, but missing and hitting the cage.

Jamie found a broken piece of mirror on the floor, so she picked it up and held it out when it shot another heat ray at her.

Getting hit in the eye with her own power, the akuma yelled out. Jamie ran closer and took the bracelet.

"What do I do with it, Chat?!" She yelled to him.

"Break it with your foot or something!" He yelled back.

After doing the whole process, Jamie took back the leash from the dog and threw it up in the air and returned everything back to normal. Chat fell out of his cage, and the people who were turned into candy canes from that cage fell to the floor with a gasp. All the others who were turned to food were returned to their normal state as well.

Chat Noir walked over to the girl who was now confused on the floor, unknowing that she was a victim of being akumatized.

"You know, if you're being bullied or teased, be sure to tell a parent or trusted adult," he sat beside her.

"Thanks Chat Noir! I will!" She hugged him, taking him by surprise. He smiled and gently returned the gesture. She ran to her parents as he made sure she was safe.

Jamie's earrings beeped and Chat Noir's ring did the same. They waved goodbye to one another and disappeared into the distance.
