A few days later, Jamie and Marinette were on the plane.
"You okay?" Asked Jamie as she ate her candy.
"I can't believe we're going to Paris!" Yelled Marinette.
"I know... But just for education."
"But still! It's Paris! That was where I was in my past life!"
"Cool! Maybe you'll see your past boyfriend there! I bet he's blonde!"
Marinette blushed. "J-jamie... How do you know?"
"Your thing." Jamie replied.
"What thing?" Marinette asked.
"Your thing for blondes."
"What?!?"
"Hmm... Let's see... First you liked Ame. He was a blonde. Then Hitoshi. He was a blonde. Then Jace. Blonde. Now Sasuke. Blonde!"
"T-that's entirely coincidental!"
"Marinette and blonde boy sitting in a tree!! K-I-S-S-"
"Jamie! It's Misaki!"
"Relax! It's just a joke. It's not like anyone would hear us!"
A few hours later, the plane landed, and the girls rushed out of the airport holding alot of luggage, waiting for their cab to come.
"What do you call an airport full of crows?" Asked Jamie.
"I don't know. What?" Marinette replied.
"CROW-ded!"
Marinette just groaned, and Jamie bursted out laughing.
A car horn interrupted their laughter, so they looked up to see a limousine which a boy with blonde hair and green eyes was trudging toward it.
Marinette froze at the sight of him.
"What do you see? A blonde boy?" Jamie teased.
"Adrien..." Marinette whispered.
"Let's go!" Yelled Jamie, interrupting her thoughts, "The taxi is here!"
Marinette nodded slowly, and the girls got in the cab.
"This place is amazing!!" Jamie yelled as she looked out the window.
"It truly is..." Marinette said coldly.
"Why so cold? It's pretty hot outside today." Jamie joked.
Marinette couldn't help but smile. She tried not to focus on negativity so much, and be happy that she was close to home. The happy thought soon turned into something horrifying. What if they'd completely forgotten of Marinette's existence? What if they only liked Misaki or Marinette? What if they liked neither? Thoughts kept filling her mind, making her more anxious by the minute. The worst thought was: What if they wouldn't accept her for who she was?
"Mar-Saki! Misaki!" Jamie yelled, interrupting the anxious girl's thoughts. "Everything is gonna be fine!"
Marinette looked up at Jamie. "How did you know what I was thinking?"
"You were biting your nails." Jamie replied, "You do that whenever your anxious."
Marinette looked at her hands. Yep. Jamie was right. She had bitten off her nails so much her fingers stung.
Marinette would never bite her nails. This was something that Misaki did. Then she wondered if they would like Misaki or Marinette more.
A few minutes later, the car came to a complete stop.
"You'll have to walk the rest of the way. Its just behind that bakery." Said the cab driver.
Marinette froze at the bakery. That was where she used to live. Tears formed in the corners of her eyes.
"Come on Misaki." Said Jamie, worrying for her friend.
Marinette sighed and nodded. They carried their luggage, and went to the apartment building.
"You okay?" Asked Jamie.
"I guess..." Marinette muttered.
Someone came out of the bakery, so Marinette ran away.
"Marin-aki!" Jamie yelled, chasing after Marinette.
Soon they got to the apartment, and we're shocked to see the size of it. It had a fairly small living room, a big kitchen, a tiny bathroom, a big bedroom, and a small bedroom.
"Isn't this place huge, Marinette!?" Jamie yelled.
"I told you. Call me Misaki." Marinette replied.
"But we're alone here."
"Yeah, but still..."
"Okay then... Want to explore the city?"
"I guess so."
They both went out holding hands.
Jamie wore a pink shirt, black shorts, light pink converse, and a faded denim jacket to top it off.
Marinette wore a long sleeved dress that had a blue top, and indigo skirt, a black collar, black cuffs, black bottom of the skirt, and the belt was black and thick with red ribbon laced through it. She wore black flats for shoes, and her hair was tied up with a red ribbon. She had made the dress before she left.
"Where did you get that dress?" Asked Jamie.
"I made it." Said Marinette.
"Woah... really?"
"Yes." Marinette pulled down the shoulder to show the name "Misaki" embroidered into it.
"Cool." Yelled Jamie.
They headed out, holding hands, and laughed about funny videos on the internet.
"How are you feeling, Misaki?" Asked Jamie, "Any Nostalgia?"
"Tons!" Yelled Marinette.
"I bet!"
Everything was great for them. Marinette was telling stories about each place, and Jamie diligently listened. It was all great until they stopped in front of the cemetery.
"You okay Misaki?" Asked Jamie, worried. The brunette turned her glance to an old man who had fallen, and needed assistance.
She ran over to help him.
Jamie helped the old man up, and gave him his cane.
"Thank you young lady." Said the old man.
"No problem." Jamie said sweetly.
Meanwhile, Marinette had wandered away before she saw her own grave. She went to her favourite spot, and everything filled up.
"Its as perfect as I remember! I knew it wasn't a dream!" Yelled Marinette. She cut quiet when everyone stared at her. She smiled, and stayed there for a long time.
About an hour later, around sunset, Marinette decided to look for Jamie
"Marco!" She called out, hoping for a response. She suddenly saw Jamie across the street.
"There you are!" Marinette called. Then she ran across the street. She didn't think as she went. Then suddenly, she was pulled back by her hair.
"I'm so sorry!" Yelled a boy.
Marinette turned to see Adrien.
"It-its fine." Marinette stuttered.
Her long black hair blew through the wind as Adrien gave her back her ribbon.
"I really am so sorry. I saw you were going to get hit by a car and I panicked and-" Adrien was interrupted by Marinette smiling.
That smile. It was so familiar but faded in his heart.
"There you are Misaki!" Yelled Jamie, running over. "Let's go get some food!"
"Coming!" Called Marinette as she ran over to Jamie, leaving Adrien in a daze.
They went shopping and got some takeout for dinner.
When they got back to the apartment, they ate in their rooms.
Jamie ate orange chicken with rice while Marinette was waiting for her food to cook.
When Jamie was done eating, she noticed something on her nightstand. She ran over to it, and slowly opened it.
