Prologue

Grayclaw's POV (Don't be shy to claim the swirly below)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have lived my most eventful days. I have enjoyed it as well. Though I had gone through trouble. I never had the perfect life like others.
I, Grayclaw, woke up from a whistle. It seemed to be the wind, but I still just needed to see what was going on. I walked out of my den. The others didn't even bother to look at me. I'm a senior warrior, but I was like them once at least. I felt the wind brush up against my fur as it used to. But it made the whistle again.
"Why is the wind so, you know, much tonight?" I asked in curiosity.
"Well, let's just say we have a bit trouble with the trees," one murmured.
I nodded as I padded out of the entrance surrounded with brambles. It was never so wet. The damp ground explored my pads. It felt weird as if I never touched it before. I wasn't really a dry paw like the others. I enjoyed getting them wet. I began to think of my mission to hunt and find out the noise, that has now formed in a slight shriek.
"What are you doing here, splashing all over the place?" A voice suddenly sounded.
I looked around to see a tiger with golden, orange, and bright fur with shadowy stripes. Her long fur was beautifully flowing as if she had a mane like me. I suddenly noticed the figure. It was my mate, Ivytail. She was still waiting for an answer.
"I was just going off to hunt," I lied.
It wasn't unusual that I made up a lie to escape questions. All she did was yawn and then nod slowly and deeply.
"Did you at least get some rest?"
"Yes."
I went along. The small shriek just grew louder with every step along the dirty and wet ground. My pelt trickled with water. It was quite rainy out. Once again, it was never so wet. Or at least this is what I saw. I continued to walk. Ivytail has already given me enough. I felt that tired.
The shriek grew so loud soon it turned into screams just ringing in my head. I didn't understand.
"Do you realize where you're about to step on?"
I looked around only to find a rhino. They were found quite often here in the part of the forest. Well, it wasn't always a forest. All I did was nod.
"Well I hope you do. Never come to this side again."
I didn't quite get it sense I didn't even set paw on his territory yet. Everything sounds confusing at the moment for me. I just can't tell what's happening. As soon as I turned around, the screaming stopped. I was happy to get the noise out of my ear. But then what else awaited me?
"You're lucky to be here now, because just wait until I see you the next time."
I turned around and saw the rhino following me with his nose blowing hardly. I thought we were done. Instead, I was being followed by a big fat gray animal. I sighed in annoyance.
"How much longer are you going to follow me?"
The rhinoceros replied with a snort.
I releasd my claws. I made a leap towards his side, as if I was to miss. But I had my ways. Raking my claws against his hide, I fell back down. He was about to stomp on me when I slid under. As I scrambled to my paws, he prepared himself to attack. He snorted and brushed his hoofs against the grass. He suddenly charged toward me. His horn pointed directly at my chest.
By that minute, I felt over.
I found myself in a darkened den with herbs surrounding me. It must be Tigerleaf's den.
I looked down at my chest. It was bleeding harshly. I rolled over. A striped she was there with horror spread across her face. "Ivytail?" I murmured. I felt as if I couldn't feel anything. Pain stabbed me in the chest, literally. She nodded. "Am I alive?" She nodded again. "Good. For a second I thought I was over." I looked down at my chest again and sighed. Maybe I was wrong. Maybe I was going to die soon. You never know. "Grayclaw, you notice his terrible this is? I can't go on further without you," Ivytail sobbed. I nodded. Somehow I did.
Tigerleaf began running frantically into the den. She was carrying stretches of cobwebs and marigold in her jaws. I felt strangely stiff. Tigerleaf pulled back her head at the sight of me and Ivytail. Tigerleaf is my mother. I never really got to know my dad, or that's at least what I think. The medicine cat dropped down the herbs. "Ivytail if you could please go and hunt for you, Grayclaw, and me? I wanna talk to you later as well," she mumbled. With all of this happening, I nearly forgot where I was. I reached over to grab the herbs with my mouth, but Tigerleaf stopped me. "I'll do it," she offered. I nodding d slowly. I barely talked to anybody tonight, but did it matter?
She pressed the chervil against my chest. I felt the juices already working up.
Tigerleaf told me to hold down one part of the cobwebs as she stretched it to the other side of my body. I did as she told me, pinning in down with my heavy forepaw. It hurt to turn my leg like that against my side. When she finished, she pressed it down to make sure it would stick. When she got to my chest, it began to sting and I shook my pelt.
"Stop moving, it would only take longer," Tigerleaf advised.
"'Kay," I muttered.
"So, I heard rumors about you and Ivytail. How's it going?"
"It's going fine, thank you."
"Good, that's what I expected. Want to hear a secret?"
