The pink haired skater ran over to Joe laying on the ground , he threw his board Carla, who he prided over his life, to the ground to be by the man's side
"you shouldn't have tried that jump, Carla said the success rate for you was 3%, 3%!" tears formed in the corners of his eyes as Joe looked up at him and just smiled
"I guess the hunk of metal can be right once in a while" he stopped talking to reach for his head, his hand coming away red. "I think I may need to skip work tomorrow" Cherry shook his head
"stop acting like this isn't a problem!" the crowd was shocked from seeing the 2 rival skaters acting this close, Cherry Blossom turned to the bystanders "you can do more than watch! Can someone here call an ambulance?" a member of the audience shook his head
"the first rule of S is to never reveal the location, we can't call the cops" Cherry had started crying before Joe reached up and cupped his face
"hey Cher I'm fine it's just a scratch" but he was lying, his head hurt bad, he understood why Miya wore a helmet when learning new tricks. He reached up and gently took off Cherry's mask stroking over his face and smiling "your overreacting, it's not like I'm going to die or anything" Cherry was going to reply but a car beeped and he looked back to see Shadow driving the car from his job, he called out
"Reki put some towels in the back, let's drive him to the city!" Cherry nodded before blushing
"I- I can't pick him up, I'm too weak" Joe smiled
" I can get up by myself" he slowly got to his feet and wrapped his arm around Cherry to ground himself as they walked to the car together.
