I've had this idea for a while and I finally got to writing it. I love the whole Bangtan Kim line and I went through a phase of mafia AUs, so this one-shot has been born. It's pretty short, simple, and kind of open-ended. There's more story to be told and this is just like a little set-up of the world. I may continue it and make more parts or even expand the world in a full-length story. But, let's see how this one goes first.

"That's the silliest thing I've ever heard, Kai!" Beomgyu exclaims.

"It's true though, hyung!" Kai says, "Yeonjun hyung overheard Jungkook hyung and Jimin hyung talking about it."

"I bet you that he heard wrong," Kai states, "There's no way. How could there be another Kim brother that we don't know about?"

"Yeonjun hyung said that he left this life to live like a normal civilian," Kai explains.

"If that were true, how come we don't know about it?" Beomgyu sighs, "Everyone knows who the heads of the mafia are. The two Kim brothers. The previous head only had two sons. Those sons brought more profit and success to the mafia then any leader has ever before. It's all part of mafia history. There's no way that there's another son that no one knows about. Yeonjun probably just made something up."

Kai shakes his head, "Hyung wouldn't do that."

"So, what?" Beomgyu says, "Even if there actually is another Kim out there, why does it matter?"

"Cause, I'm curious," Kai says, "I want to know what's up with this brother and why we've never been told about him."

"That is if he even exists!" Beomgyu says back. Kai huffs and crosses his arms. Beomgyu sighs at his friend's reaction. He's just trying to be realistic. Something like this isn't possible. "Jungkook hyung!" Kai exclaims, grabbing Beomgyu by the wrist and pulling him towards the man he spotted entering the room. Jungkook turns to see the source of the voice and smiles when he spots the two boys bounding over towards him. "Hey, what's up," Jungkook says.

"Does Seokjin hyung and Taehyung hyung have another brother?" Kai asks.

Jungkook's eyes widen, "Where did you hear that?"

"It's true, isn't it?" Kai says, "I told you, hyung!" Beomgyu sighs and looks at Jungkook, who appears to be having some difficulty comprehending this all. "Where did you hear such a thing?" Jungkook repeats with wide eyes.

"Yeonjun, overheard you talking with Jimin hyung about another brother," Beomgyu states.

Jungkook grimaces and lets his head fall down, "Oh, I'm dead...."

"It's true! It is!" Kai says, "They have another brother that they never spoke about. But why? What happened? How come no one knows? If the former head has three kids wouldn't everyone know? The city is ruled by the mafia after all...I mean how could he hide?" Jungkook blinks as Kai continues to ramble out question after question. He shakes his head and massages his temples, "Talk to Yoongi hyung. He's in his office." The young man quickly makes a beeline for his room, not wanting to say anything else that could get him in even deeper trouble. Kai and Beomgyu exchange a look, wondering what is up with Jungkook. "Maybe, you should just drop it," Beomgyu says, "I doubt Yoongi hyung will tell us anything."

"No way! I'm just more curious than I was before!" Kai exclaims, "C'mon! Let's go talk to Yoongi hyung."

"Why do I need to go with you?" Beomgyu asks as the boy grabs his wrist again and starts to pull him towards Yoongi's office. Kai doesn't hesitate to knock on the door when they stand in front of it. They wait for a minute before they get an answer. "Come in," Yoongi says from inside. Kai opens the door and the two boys enter the room. He shuts the door from behind him and approaches Yoongi's desk. "What do you two want?" Yoongi asks.

"We have some questions," Kai says.

Beomgyu shakes his head, "He has a question. I'm just here cause he dragged me."

"Well, ask," Yoongi states.

"It's about the third Kim brother," Kai says, "Who is he?"

"The third, what now?" Yoongi says with raised eyebrows.

"Seokjin hyung and Taehyung hyung's other brother!" Kai exclaims, "Yeonjun overheard Jungkook hyung and Jimin hyung talking about him."

"Yeonjun heard wrong," Yoongi says, "There are only two Kim brothers."

"See. I told you," Beomgyu huffs, "C'mon...let's go..." He reaches for Kai's wrist, but the boy quickly pulls his hand away. "No! We confronted Jungkook hyung and he acted all nervous. If it wasn't true, he wouldn't have been like that," Kai exclaims, "It was supposed to be a secret. Wasn't it? That's why Jungkook hyung got all flustered. Cause he and Jimin hung revealed something that no one should know about!" Yoongi mutters something under his breath and slowly stands. He runs a hand through his hair and shakes his head, "Jimin and Jungkook talk about random crap all the time. I wouldn't think too much into it."

"It wasn't random though!" Kai says.

Beomgyu sighs, "Kai...let's go. We're bothering, hyung..."

"Not until I find out more!" Kai exclaims.

"Don't be nosy!" Beomgyu scolds the boy. Yoongi lets his eyes fall shut and he massages his temples. He moves to lean against the wall and stare at the bickering boys. "I didn't sign up for this," Yoongi groans.

"Please, hyung. You can tell us! We're trustworthy," Kai pleads.

"Ignore him!" Beomgyu states, trying to grab the boy again. Kai whines and pushes his friend's hands away. Suddenly, the door to the office flies open and Seokjin's signature laugh echoes. The two boys stop and turn to look at the people that have just entered the room. They gape as Kim Seokjin and Kim Taehyung enter the office. The two boys quickly bow to the heads of the mafia, who flash them warm smiles and ruffle their hair. "Who knew Yoongi's weakness is kids?" Seokjin laughs as he goes deeper into the office.

"Shut up," Yoongi huffs.

Taehyung chuckles and nudges Kai, "This kid was hammering you pretty hard for answers..."

Kai flushes red and stammers out an apology, "I was just curious, sirs. I'm sorry if I caused any trouble."

Seokjin shakes his head, "None at all. It was bound to get out eventually. I'm surprised it's stayed a secret for so long."

"Does that mean?" Beomgyu asks.

"Yes," Taehyung says, "We have another brother. And yes, he's left this world behind. There's really not much to it. It isn't some special story or anything. He just had enough."

"How come we never heard about him?" Kai questions.

Seokjin sighs, "He wants a normal life. He wasn't going to get that if anyone knew he is of mafia blood. We did what we could for him. Hid documents, paid people off, buried any evidence that could tie us to him."

"He's a normal dude now," Taehyung says.

Yoongi scoffs, "He's the opposite of normal. He may not be with the mafia, but he trained to lead it from birth. Not to mention, he still hasn't learned how to not burn a pan when he cooks!"

"I was right!" Kai exclaims while Beomgyu shakes his head, still in disbelief that it's all actually the truth.

"Yes, you were," Taehyung says with a smile, "You two will keep this under wraps. Won't you? We're not upset that you guys figured it out. We trust you won't say anything, but if anyone else hears it could put my hyung in danger."

"We won't say a word," Beomgyu states.

"Thank you," Taehyung says. Suddenly, there's a loud boom outside followed by an unfamiliar voice. "Jin hyung! Tae!" The voice yells. Seokjin and Taehyung exchange a look before darting out of Yoongi's office. Yoongi sighs and massages his temples again before begrudgingly following his bosses. He can already sense that something messy has happened and he'll have to clean it up. Beomgyu and Kai slowly follow, curious as to what's going on. There's a tall man standing in the hallway. He has warm colored skin, nicely combed hair, and prominent dimples. At his feet is a limp body that has red liquid trailing from it onto the floor. "Joonie!" Seokjin exclaims when he sees the man.

"Hyung!" Taehyung shrieks, clambering over the body and throwing himself onto the dude. The man huffs as Taehyung's weight hits him and causes him to stagger back a little. "Don't kill him, Kim Taehyung!" Yoongi scolds, "It's been a while. He isn't as quick on his feet as he used to be."

The man scoffs, "That's mean, Yoongi hyung. I'm not that bad. I took care of that guy who attacked me."

"Someone attacked you?" Seokjin says.

The man nods and points to the body, "Yeah, him. I tried to make it clear that I'm not with the mafia anymore, but he couldn't take a hint." The three mafia men glance at the body and then back at the tall, mystery man. "We'll figure it out," Yoongi says, "You should go before anyone sees you."

"I'm thinking of actually sticking around," The man says, "At least until we figure out how this guy found out about me. I think he's a bounty hunter and if I'm right then he won't be the last one that comes for me. It'll be easier if I just stay. If that's alright with you..."

"Of course," Seokjin says, "You're always welcome here." The man nods his head in thanks. Taehyung beams, "That means I get to see you more!!!"

The man laughs and ruffles Taehyung's hair, "I missed you too, Tae-ah."

"What about me?" Seokjin exclaims.

"I missed your cooking," The manstates with a smile. Seokjin's nose wrinkles and he hits the man in the arm."Is that all I am good for?" Seokjin shrieks, "Cooking youmeals!" The man laughs, his dimples peeking out. Beomgyu and Kai don't doanything except stare, not really understanding what's going on. "Who'sthat?" Kai asks. Beomgyu shrugs, not having a clue who the man is."The one you have been trying to find answers about all day,"Jungkook says, appearing beside the two boys, having come out of hiding afterhearing the commotion, "The third brother. Kim Namjoon

Done! I kinda like the potential that this one-shot has to be something more.
