Halloweentown
Hello! I have another Halloween one-shot for you. This one is a whole lot less morbid and all the characters are alive. Well, except for the ghosts. This one-shot is inspired by the DCOM Halloweentown. If you haven't heard of it or seen it go check it out because it's one of my favorite Halloween movies. I decided to throw in the BTS members into this story and this is what I got.
Jimin frowns as he argues with his father. "But, dad! It's Halloween. I'm 13 already, that's nearly an adult. I should be able to go to this party. Everyone is going to be there!"
Yoongi shakes his head, "Everyone but, you. I've already given you an answer. You are not allowed to go to this party." Yoongi shakes his head as he takes a basket of candy to the front of the house. "I don't get why you continue to push him, Jimin," Taehyung states from the couch.
Jimin sighs, "Don't you want to go trick or treating, Tae?
"I don't know. I don't really mind staying inside," Taehyung replies.
Jimin groans before turning to face his dad, "Don't you think that your kids should be able to experience something like Halloween. My little brother is sitting in front of the window, staring at kids dressed in costumes. He should be out there getting a bunch of candy." Jungkook glances over at his bickering older brother and dad. He sits in front of the window admiring everybody's' costumes. Taehyung frowns before turning his attention back to the TV screen. Yoongi shakes his head, "Jimin. Stop this. I never let you go out during Halloween, that isn't going to change now."
"Why? Why are we not allowed?" Jimin exclaims.
Yoongi walks up to his son and looks him in the eye, "Because I said so. There are some things that you just don't understand about Halloween." Jimin rolls his eyes and starts to walk to his room in a huff. He mutters, "There are some things you just don't understand..." Suddenly, Jungkook cries out, "Someone's coming!" Taehyung quickly stands and rushes to the window. Jimin turns around and does the same. "Is that?" Taehyung asks.
"It's grandpa!" Jimin exclaims. Jungkook immediately stands up and rushes to the front door. "Grandpa is here! Grandpa is here!" Jungkook cries, jumping up and down. Taehyung walks over to the door and helps unlock it. "I forgot that grandpa was going to visit tonight!" Jimin says with a smile on his face. Yoongi only nods his head quietly. Jimin stops on his way to the door and gives his dad a look. "Please don't fight again. Grandpa only comes once a year to visit. Don't ruin it like last year by arguing...." Jimin pleads with his father.
Yoongi frowns, "I'll try not to." Jimin takes that as an answer and rushes over to the front door. "Hello!" Jin says as he walks through the door.
"Grandpa Jin!" The kids all exclaim. Jungkook gives Jin a big hug. "Look at you Jungkook, all grown up. And Taehyung, you keep on getting handsomer and handsomer. Who else....oh right. Where is Jimin?"
Jimin grins and rushes over to his grandpa, "I'm right here!"
"Ah! There you are. I can't believe it, you're thirteen," Jin states wrapping his arms around Jimin, "Almost an adult." Jimin smiles and hugs Jin back. He gives his father a pointed look when Jin mentions him almost being an adult. Yoongi sighs and rolls his eyes, "Hello, father."
"Yoongi, how are you doing?" Jin says with a small smile.
Yoongi frowns, "Fine. I'm doing just fine, father."
"Did you bring presents!?" Jungkook exclaims.
Taehyung shakes his head, "Jungkook, you shouldn't ask for presents. That's rude."
"Oh, don't worry about it Taehyung. I'm not offended. I do actually have presents for all of you!" Jin smiles and picks up his bag. He makes his way the living room and the kids scamper after him. He places it on the coffee table and opens it up. The kids all rush over and peek into the bag. "Candy!" Jungkook exclaims and reaches into the bag. Taehyung smirks as he slips a few pieces into his pant pockets. Jin smiles at the kids and reaches into the bag. He pulls out skeletons and crystals and a voodoo doll. "I say we decorate this house! It is in desperate need of some Halloween spirit!" Jin exclaims as he takes out a bunch of fake cobwebs and spiders. He throws them at the staircase with a grin. Yoongi grabs the webs and shoves them back into the bag, "Father....you know how I feel about Halloween."
"Oh...I know Yoongi, but I think the kids deserve to have some fun. It is Halloween after all," Jin says with a grin. He reaches into the bag and takes out a bunch of fabrics. He hands a white sheet to Jungkook and a colorful cape of sorts to Jimin. He places a helmet with horns on it on Taehyung's head. Yoongi's eyes widen in shock, "Father!"
Jungkook places the sheet over his head, "I'm a ghost! Look, daddy! I'm a ghost!" Yoongi massages his temples as Jungkook runs around the living room making ghost noises. "It's more of a moaning sound, Jungkookie. Ghosts are rather depressed beings. They sound a bit more like this, ooooo...oooo..ooo," Jin calls out as he helps Taehyung into a furry coat.
"What am I supposed to be?" Taehyung asks, looking to his father. Yoongi looks at him up and down. Yoongi groans as he takes the helmet off of his son and places it back into the bag. "How is it that this much stuff fits into this bag?" Taehyung asks as Yoongi shoves the voodoo doll and the jacket back into it. Jin helps Jimin slip into the colored cape and places a hat of sorts over his head. Jimin laughs, "I kinda look like a wizard or something...."
"Not a wizard, my dear. You look like a proper warlock," Jin says as he brushes the wrinkles out of the cape. Jimin smiles with glee as he looks at the fabric that sits on his shoulders. Yoongi's eyes widen, "Father, please put all of this away. Kids come into the dining room, it's time for dinner."
"Of course, dear," Jin sighs and starts to pack away the items he pulled from his bag. The kids frown and solemnly make their way to the table. Before they do, Jin pulls the kids close to him for a minute, "Don't worry, we'll save the candy for later." The kids all smile at his words before making their way into dining room.
--------
"You are such a bright young boy, Jimin. I can't believe that you know so much about the supernatural and witchery..." Jin says as he eats a piece of chicken.
Jimin smiles, "The topic interests me. I only know about it because of books and stuff..."
"Well, I think you are very well educated," Jin states, "You know, I was thinking about inviting you to my place. It's very nice. The people there are the kindest souls you'll ever meet."
"Really!? I would love to visit y-," Jimin starts to say.
"Um, I'm sorry father, but no. The kids still have school. They are pretty busy. They can't just leave," Yoongi cuts in.
"Oh, yes, well. Maybe next time," Jin says with a frown. The entire table falls silent. The only sound is the scraping of forks against the plates. "How long are you staying for, grandpa?" Taehyung ask as he wipes his face with a napkin.
"Oh-," Jin starts only for Yoongi to cut in.
"Only for a little while longer. Your grandfather has to catch his bus. There aren't a lot that he can catch that go to where he lives," Yoongi says as he picks up some plates and stands up.
The kids all groan, "Why can't you stay longer!? We never get to see you often."
"I'm sorry, kids. There's nothing I can really do. Is there any way I can make it up to you?" Jin asks.
Jungkook's eyes light up, "A story! Grandpa, can you tell us a bedtime story."
"Oooo, yeah, Grandpa Jin. Will you tell us a story?" Jimin asks with a smile.
"A story? That sounds...." Taehyung starts, "Interesting, for little kids." Jimin rolls his eyes and gently slaps Taehyung. Taehyung winces and rubs his arm. "I don't know, kids. I'm not really much of a storyteller, but I will try my best. That is if your father allows it," Jin says glancing at Yoongi.
Yoongi frowns, "Fine. Your grandfather can tell you a story. Go upstairs and get ready for bed. Your grandpa will be up in a few minutes." The kids all smile and rush upstairs. Jin sighs and stands up. He grabs a bunch of plates and places them in the sink. "Father," Yoongi states looking at Jin.
"Yes, is something the matter?" Jin asks looking at his son.
Yoongi shakes his head, "Don't tell them about home. I don't want them to know. I don't want to argue with you about this, can you please just agree to not say anything."
"Of course, I won't say a thing," Jin says nodding his head.
"Thank you. Go, the kids are probably waiting for you," Yoongi says as he starts to wipe the table clean. Jin nods and makes his way upstairs.
--------
The kids all look over Jin's shoulder at the picture book in his hands. "This is the story of Halloweentown," Jin says opening the book.
"Halloweentown? What's that?" Jimin asks.
"Well, it's this wonderful little place with gargoyles and gnomes and some very distinguished warlocks," Jin says as he turns the page. The kids' eyes all widen as they look at the picture of Halloweentown. "Look at that huge pumpkin!" Taehyung exclaims pointing at the page, "I wonder how they make it that big."
"It probably grows in the warlocks' gardens. They use magic to make it so large," Jimin pipes up his eyes shining.
Jungkook frowns, "I don't like warlocks. They're mean and scary."
"Oh, that's not true. There are some very nice warlocks in Halloweentown. Lots of them like to help people here on Earth," Jin says as he flips the page. The next picture has a warlock on it, who is soaring through the sky on a broom. "Look! It's Jimin!" Jungkook exclaims pointing to the figure on the broom.
"What?" Jimin asks grabbing the book, "It can't be me...." His hands hover over the picture of the young boy riding the broom. He looks up at his grandpa, who gives him a small smile. "Let me see," Taehyung says grabbing the book from Jimin's hands, "This looks nothing like you." Jimin rolls his eyes and takes the book back from his hands. Suddenly, someone coughs. They all look at the doorway and there stands Yoongi. "I think it's time for you to go, father. And it's time for the kids to go to bed," Yoongi says with a pointed look. The kids all gave their grandfather a goodbye hug. Jin stands up and makes his way out the bedroom door.
--------
Yoongi rants as he packs away the leftover chicken, "What did I say? I asked you not to say anything. What did you do? You said something!"
"Oh, Yoongi, it's not that big of a deal. The kids need to know where they came from," Jin replies.
"They know where they came from, they come from here. They are normal human beings," Yoongi states, "They deserve to have normal lives."
Jin scowls, "Normal is overrated. You are far from normal, Yoongi. I don't understand how you are able to live like a human for so long. There isn't anything keeping you here. You can come back home."
"I like it here, father. I don't have any want to go back to Halloweentown," Yoongi exclaims as he seals up a container.
"You would rather live like this," Jin states gesturing towards the kitchen, "You don't even use an ounce of magic. It would be so much easier if you just did this." Jin points at the sink and the dishes start to clean themselves. "Father!" Yoongi shouts before using his own magic to stop the dishes from moving.
"At least let Jimin come back home with me. He needs someone to train him. It's clearly not going to be you," Jin says with a pointed look, "You know he will lose his powers if he doesn't start learning how to use it."
"Maybe, it would be for the best if Jimin lost his magic. He is going to be a normal human boy. Not some warlock. If you just came here to argue with me about this, you can leave," Yoongi says giving him the same look.
Jin sighs and starts to pace, "I actually came here to ask you something else. I need you to come back home. Not to train, Jimin. I need you. A fully trained Kim."
"Why would you need me?" Yoongi asks, "There are other warlocks."
"I know, but I need a Kim warlock to help me with this. There's trouble in Halloweentown. People have been acting differently and then they suddenly disappear. I need your help," Jin pleads.
Yoongi rolls his eyes as he opens the fridge, "Father, don't you think you're overreacting. These people could just be moving."
Jin crosses his arms, "This is the work of dark magic, Yoongi, I know it. How can you not be worried for the safety of your own home!?"
"It's not my home anymore, father!" Yoongi retorts. Jin huffs and bends down to pick up his bag. "I think my bus is here," Jin states as he makes his way out the door. Unbeknownst to the both of them, Jimin was listening and watching them.
----------
"I swear, Taehyung. It's exactly what they said. They were talking about Halloweentown, as if it was an actual thing!" Jimin explains, "And then they started to talk about me. They mentioned training and magic. Do you know what this means, Taehyung!?"
Taehyung shrugs, "That you are all crazy."
"No, it means that I'm an actual warlock. I have magical abilities," Jimin says with a grin, "And, grandpa needs me."
"What do you mean he needs you?" Taehyung asks.
Jimin grabs the cape from where it hangs on a chair, "I mean, he told dad that he needed another warlock's help. I can help him."
"This is ridiculous. You don't even know if what you heard was even real. Maybe you were hallucinating because of all the candy you ate," Taehyung suggests.
"Nope. It was real," Jimin says as he peeks out the window, "There goes grandpa." He starts to make his way downstairs. "What are you doing?" Taehyung exclaims, "Dad isn't going to be happy when he find out you sneaked out of the house!" Taehyung looks out the window for a minute before rushing after his older brother.
-----------
From there, the two siblings boarded a bus and took a rather shaky ride to Halloweentown. When they got off, they lost sign of their grandfather. "What now?" Taehyung asks.
"Someone has to know where Grandpa Jin is," Jimin states as he looks around the town, "Taehyung, look. It's just like the picture in the book." Jimin smiles as he points to the large pumpkin in the center of the town. Taehyung rubs his eyes and shakes his head, "I must be in a dream. Yeah, that's right. This is only a dream." Jimin rolls his eyes as he glances at everything else in the town. He stops when he feels a tugging on his sleeve. He looks to his left and sees Taehyung pulling on his shirt. "What are you doing?"
"Look, it's Jungkook," Taehyung says pointing to a small boy who had just got off the bus. Jungkook gives them a smile and waves. He runs over to the two of them with a grin, "Hello. This is so cool. It's just like in the story grandpa told us. Well, except for the pumpkin. It's kinda droopy..."
"Jungkook! What are you doing here?" Jimin questions, "How did you even get here?"
"I followed you," Jungkook explains, "You two are very loud." Jimin sighs and shakes his head. "Nothing we can really do now. We'll just bring him along with us to grandpa's place," Taehyung says.
Jimin frowns, "That is if we can find grandpa's place." Suddenly, a man with a large smile on his faces comes over to the kids. "And who may you be? I don't recognize any of you," the man says.
"My daddy told me to not speak to strangers," Jungkook states holding onto Taehyung's arm.
The man sighs, "Oh, you don't have to be worried about me. I'm the mayor of this town. You can call me Hoseok."
"It's nice to meet you Mr. Mayor," Jimin says, "I'm Jimin. These are my younger brothers, Taehyung and Jungkook."
"It's nice to meet you too," Hoseok says with a grin, "You three look lost. Maybe I can help point you in the right direction."
"Um...do you happen to know where Kim Seokjin lives?" Jimin asks.
Hoseok's eyes widen at that name, "Yes, I do. Lived there all his life. Why? Are you warlock's in training?"
"Not me. I'm just a normal human," Taehyung pipes up. Jungkook hides behind Taehyung, not really trusting the mayor. "Kinda. We're his grandchildren. We sort of got separated when we were getting off the bus," Jimin explains.
"Oh! Grandkids. That means you three are Yoongi's children!" Hoseok says with a smile, "Is your father here?" He looks around for Yoongi. "Um, no. He couldn't come with us. Can you show us where our grandpa's house is?" Jimin says.
"Oh, yes, of course," Hoseok says whistling, "This cab should take you right there." A cab swerves a bit as it drives to a stop right in front of them. "Thank you," Jimin states opening the door. Taehyung and Jungkook slip inside. "You're very welcome. If you kids need anything, don't hesitate to ask. I'm a warlock too, you know," Hoseok says with a wave of his hand. Jimin nods and waves goodbye as they drive away.
-----------
Jin sighs as he mixes something in a bowl. He opens the microwave and places it inside. He presses a few buttons and smiles at his work. He rises and goes to look for something on his desk. He frowns, "Someone is coming..." Just then, there is a knock on the door. Jin walks over and opens the door. His eyes widen when he sees his three grandchildren. "Grandpa!" They all exclaim as they enter the house.
"We found you!" Jungkook exclaims.
Jin smiles, "Yes, you did. How did you all get here?"
"We took the bus," Taehyung explains, "The ride was rather uncomfortable." Jimin glares at Taehyung, who just shrugs. "I'm here to start my training," Jimin says looking at his grandpa with a grin, "I want to become a warlock."
Jin closes the door and gestures for them to follow him, "Do you now? You must have overheard the conversation I had with your father. I knew someone was listening. I'm guessing you're father doesn't know you're here either."
"I'm sorry for eavesdropping," Jimin says, "No, Dad doesn't know that we're here. Please don't send us back..."
Jin chuckles, "It's alright. If I had heard my dad and grandfather talking about magic, I would've probably listened in too. I don't see anything wrong with letting you all stay here for a little while. Your father shouldn't be too upset, but we'll cross that road when we get to it."
"Thank you, Grandpa Jin!" Jimin says, "Does that mean you'll train me to be a warlock?"
Jin nods, "Well, you are here and it would be my honor to train another Kim warlock."
"Yes!" Jimin exclaims. Suddenly, a beeping noise can be heard from the kitchen-area. Jin walks to the kitchen, the kids following close behind. Jin opens the microwave and takes out the bowl. He places it on the counter and picks up a ladle to mix it. "When does my training start, grandpa?" Jimin asks.
Jin hums as he mixes, "As soon as we deal with this dark force..."
"What dark force?" Taehyung asks. Jin stops mixing and walks over to a large cauldron. He gestures for the kids to come over and they do. He starts to murmur some words and the clear liquid in the cauldron begins to show a scary face. The face has demon-like features. Crevices can be seen on the sides of his cheeks and his face is a pasty brown color. The face cackles louder and louder. Jungkook shrinks away from the cauldron. Jimin and Taehyung stare at the face in shock. Jin frowns and shakes his head. "What was that?" Jimin asks.
"That was the evil that has come to Halloweentown," Jin explains.
Jungkook shivers, "Is there a way to stop it?"
"Of course, now don't be scared Jungkook. We can stop this, together. Let me show you all something," Jin states as he walks over to a shelf. He picks up a medium sized box and brings it into the kitchen-like area. He opens it and takes out a wand sort of thing with a large orb attached to the top. "This talisman was used by Merlin himself to stop the dark ages in the mortal world. I believe that we can use it to bring back the light to Halloweentown," Jin says as he opens up the talisman. He uses the ladle and scoops some of the liquid into it. Once it is full, he closes it and holds it like normal. "Now what?" Taehyung asks.
Jin grips onto the talisman, "Now I use a spell to activate it. If I can get it to light up and install it in its proper place, I'm sure that it can drive away the force that threatens us."
"Is it going to work?" Jimin asks.
Jin sighs as he looks at the talisman, "It should. It would probably work a lot better if I had another warlock to say the spell with me. That's why I asked your father to come back and help me. Spells are much more powerful when more than one warlock joins in. Especially if they're Kims."
"I can help you!" Jimin pipes up.
"Oh, that's very nice of you to offer your help, but you're not trained yet. It would seem I have to do this by myself," Jin says as he closes his eyes. He throws powder over the talisman and chants some words. The kids all watch in awe as the talisman lights up. Their smiles disappear when the light dies out. Jin frowns, "This is what I get for not making the brew fresh. Kids, we're going to go on a bit of a shopping spree. I need some ingredients. I hope you don't mind."
"Not at all," Jimin says.
Jungkook grins, "I want to help stop the bad thing."
"I don't really care. All of this is just some make believe fantasy anyway," Taehyung mutters. Jimin slaps Taehyung again. Taehyung gives Jimin a look and rubs his arm. "Alright then, let's go," Jin says.
----------
As they walk, Jimin asks questions about Halloweentown and magic. "How does it work? Do you always have to say a spell?" Jimin asks.
Jin nods, "Yes, usually you do, but it's a bit more than just that. You just have to want something to happen and then let yourself have it."
"How come you have a jack o lantern in the middle of the town?" Taehyung asks.
Jin glances at the large pumpkin, "Well, we all used to live peacefully with the mortals. When things started to get a bit bumpy and we had to move here, we took some of their customs with us." Jimin sees something that catches his eye and walks away from the group. Jin looks at Jimin as he walks away, "Jimin? Where are you going?" Jimin walks to a store that has a large variety of brooms. Jin heads over to where Jimin ran off to, bringing Taehyung and Jungkook with him. "Ah, I see you've found the brooms," Jin says, "An essential item for every warlock."
"Oh, grandpa! Can I have one, please?" Jimin pleads.
Jin nods his head, "It's a rite of passage for every young warlock your age to get a broom. Of course you can have one."
"Thank you so much!" Jimin exclaims reaching for one, "I've already chosen."
"That's a good choice, mister. One of the top brooms we sell here," the vendor says with a grin, "Go ahead. Take it out for a fly."
"How do I do that?" Jimin asks looking at the broom in his hand.
"Magic, duh," The vendor replies.
Jimin blushes, "Oh, yeah, right. I knew that." He looks at Jin a bit sheepishly. Jin smiles at him and gently pats his shoulders. Jin opens his mouth to speak only to be interrupted by someone coming over. A handsome boy speaks, "I couldn't help but overhear that you were having some trouble with your broom. Maybe I can give you a hand."
"It's quite alright, Namjoon. No offense to you, but this is much more of a warlock thing. I can teach Jimin how to fly," Jin states.
Namjoon huffs, "That's really nice of you gramps. Jimin, you said his name is. It's nice to meet you, Jimin. I'm Namjoon. I'm sort of a big deal around here. Everyone knows my name. Maybe if you want, I can take you out for some ice cream later."
The vendor's eyes widen and he mutters underneath his breath, "I wouldn't say yes if I were you. Namjoon isn't a very nice boy. He used to look more like a troll. He goes around telling people that a shadow demon made him good looking."
"C'mon, what do you say Jimin? I'm sure gramps here won't mind," Namjoon continues to push, "A pretty looking boy like you and a handsome guy like me would make quite the pair. I think the entire town would be talking about us." Jimin grimaces, processing what the vendor had just told him and Namjoon's attempts at flirtation. He walks over to Namjoon and looks him in the eyes, "Don't flatter yourself. You aren't as handsome as you think. To be honest, your face sort of sickens me. And if that's the way you talk to people on a normal basis, you better be ready for a long and lonesome life."
Namjoon frowns and takes a few steps back, "If you knew what was good for you, you would say yes to anything I ask. I'm friends with some very powerful creatures!" He bumps into a bunch of brooms that fall on the floor. Namjoon trips over some of them as he makes his way down the street. "I'm glad he's gone," Taehyung mutters. Jin sighs and shakes his head, "Namjoon was such a nice young kid. I don't know what happened to him. Now, where were we? Ah, yes. Let's teach you to fly," Jimin looks at Jin and he grips the broom tightly in his hand.
--------
After the lesson, Jin and Jimin come to a full stop on the ground. As Jin pays for the broom, an angry man stomps over to them. "What do you think you are doing here?! Father, how could you bring them here without my permission!?" Yoongi yells.
"Yoongi, please calm down. I was going to get them back home as soon as I could," Jin says in a calming tone, "And, I never brought them here in the first place. They came to me." Jungkook and Taehyung run over to their father. "I'm sorry, daddy. I wanted to help grandpa fight the bad thing," Jungkook says holding onto Yoongi's leg.
"I tried to stop them, but they hypnotized me!" Taehyung pipes up.
Jimin rolls his eyes at Taehyung's words and gives Yoongi a serious look, "I came to get my training."
"What? What training?" Yoongi states, "You are not a warlock, Jimin."
"Yeah, no thanks to you," Jimin retorts, "I'm here, dad. You can't stop me from learning how to become a warlock. I'm going to learn everything that grandpa can teach me."
"No, you are not. We are going to go back on that bus and go home," Yoongi states firmly.
Jimin shakes his head, "But, dad. Grandpa needs help to defeat the dark force. Since you won't help him, I have to. I'm the only Kim warlock who will."
"You are not a warlock, Jimin. How many times do I have to say that?" Yoongi says, "There is so much more to this then you understand."
"I understand just fine. I'm going to learn to be a warlock, whether you like it or not," Jimin replies.
Yoongi huffs, "No, Jimin, you are not. You are being ridiculous. Put that silly thought of being a warlock out of your head, right now."
Jin cuts in and takes a step towards Yoongi, "It is his birthright-"
"He was born in the human world. Human is what he will be," Yoongi fires back at Jin.
"No, I won't!" Jimin shouts, "I want to be a warlock, dad! Just because you refuse to use your magic, doesn't mean that you get to take away my right to use mine!"
Yoongi gives Jimin a pointed look, "That is enough. Put down that broom, you are grounded. Say goodbye to your grandfather. We're going home."
-------
Yoongi tries to speak with the conductor as to find out when the next bus arrives. When they aren't able to give him the information he wants, Taehyung suggests they go speak to the mayor. That is exactly what they do. Along the way to the town hall, Jimin continues to complain to his father. Yoongi ignores him as they walk through the door into the mayor's office. Yoongi is shocked to discover that the mayor is none other than his ex. They talk for a short period of time before Hoseok has to leave to deal with something. While this all happens, Jin runs into Namjoon. Namjoon tells him about the man that is causing all of this trouble. He leads Jin to an old abandoned theater, where he says the dark magic user is waiting to meet him. As they all walk out of the town hall, they see Jin going somewhere with Namjoon. They decide to follow them, not trusting Namjoon. When they enter the theater they see Jin talking to a hooded demon of sorts. Yoongi runs up to where his father stands, "Kids. Stay back!" The hooded demon starts firing off blasts of magic that are meant to freeze a person. Namjoon watches in horror, not knowing that anyone would be getting injured. Jin and Yoongi dodge the blasts. The hooded figure continuously asks for the talisman and taunts the two warlocks. The figure fires off another blast at Jin. Yoongi reacts instantly pushing away his father. The blast hits him and he freezes. "Dad!" Jimin calls out, making sure that Taehyung and Jungkook stay behind him.
The hooded demon cackles, "This is it, Kim Seokjin. When you awaken, I will be your ruler." He fires off another blast and it hits Jin right in the chest. Jin stumbles back into a seat and starts to freeze. Before he does, he points to Jimin, "Go, leave! Go!" Taehyung pulls Jimin towards the door. "No, Tae, we have to save them!" Jimin calls out.
Taehyung pushes the door open, "We can't do anything now. We need to save ourselves first!" He pushes Jungkook through the door and drags Jimin along with him.
-------------
"What are we supposed to do now?" Jungkook asks, "How do we save daddy and grandpa?"
"Can we even save them?" Taehyung asks, "We nothing compared to that guy."
"Of course, we can save them. We have to save them," Jimin states.
Taehyung frowns, "What do you suggest we do?" Jimin paces back and forth, in deep thought. Suddenly, an idea comes to him. "We gather the rest of the ingredients. We make the talisman," Jimin says, "C'mon, there's no time to waste. Soon enough, they have gathered all the ingredients. With the collective power of Jungkook and Jimin, they are able to light up the talisman. They rush back to the theater and try to use it to unfreeze their dad and grandfather. It does not succeed and the kids are stumped. "What now? It didn't work," Taehyung states waving the talisman in front of their eyes. Jimin looks at his grandfather for a second and then it hits him. He grabs the talisman from Taehyung, "We need to plant it, remember. For it to work we need to install it."
"Where?" Taehyung asks, grabbing Jungkook's hand.
"The jack o lantern, of course," Jimin says gesturing to the giant pumpkin in the center of the town.
---------
Jimin hugs his brothers one last time before slipping a hood over his head. "Stay here and be careful," Jimin says.
"Please, don't get hurt, Jimin," Jungkook says with a sad face.
"I won't," Jimin replies, "It's okay, Jungkookie. I'll be alright." Jimin rushes out and makes his way towards the pumpkin. Suddenly, the sky begins to darken. A large tornado appears and the hooded demon from before appears in the sky. He starts to address the people of Halloweentown, "It is time to take back our home. We were wrongfully kicked out of the mortal world. We left because we weren't accepted. I say to hell with that. We have the strength and the numbers. We can take over the mortal world. We can rule like kings! Who is with me!?" Jimin continues to slowly walk to the pumpkin. A crowd has begun to gather in front of where the hooded figure has appeared. Jimin is about to push through the crowd when he is pulled back, by none other than Namjoon. "Namjoon! What do you want? I'm busy," Jimin says trying to leave. Namjoon places his hand on his shoulder and prevents him from walking away. "Please just listen to me," Namjoon says, "I didn't know that he would hurt your dad and grandpa. I didn't want them to get hurt. I made a terrible mistake, Jimin."
The hooded demon speaks again, "It is time for us to come into the light. To take what is rightfully ours!" The face of the demon begins to morph and shift. Suddenly, the true face of the hooded figure could be seen. "Hoseok!?" Jimin says in a shocked tone. Namjoon looks up and shakes his head. "You knew?" Jimin asks.
Namjoon nods solemnly, "I messed up. Please, let me make it up to you." Jimin looks at Namjoon, who gives him a sincere look.

Hoseok grins, "Now we must find the half-human. Where are you, Jimin?" He scans the crowd and smirks when he catches a red cloak moving through the crowd. "Oh, young Kim. Did you actually think you could hide from me?" Hoseok calls out. He drops from where he was standing and proceeds to approach the cloaked figure. "Give me the talisman!" Hoseok yells. The figure starts to run away. Hoseok growls, "How dare you disobey me!?" He fires off multiple blasts of power that connect with the figure's back. The figure falls to the floor. Hoseok approaches the fallen person and sighs, "I expected more of a fight from a Kim warlock." He pulls back the red hood and is shocked to see the face of Namjoon. "Fooled ya," Namjoon says wincing a bit in pain. Hoseok's eyes widen as he looks to the pumpkin. Jimin is hanging off the side of it. He pushes the top of it off and reaches to place the talisman inside. "Nooooooo!" Hoseok yells and he shoots at Jimin. Jimin winces and shrieks out in pain. He tries to put the talisman into place, but loses focus as more and more blasts connect with his back. "No!" Taehyung cries from his hiding spot, "C'mon, Jimin! This can't be the end!" Jungkook holds onto Taehyung's arm and he sniffles a little. Jimin blinks a couple of times, trying to focus. He thinks back to something his grandfather said. All you have to do is want for it to happen and let yourself have it. With that thought, Jimin drops the talisman into the pumpkin. He wills it to fall into place and it does. As the talisman falls into place, a blast of light is released. Hoseok flies backwards and the frozen people at the theatre awaken.
---------
Jimin slowly climbs down from the pumpkin. Jungkook and Taehyung rush over to their older brother. They make sure he's okay before giving him a big hug. "Kids!" Yoongi yells as he rushes over to the group. Jin follows close behind him. "Dad! Grandpa! You're alright!" Jimin exclaims.
Jin smiles, "Yes, thanks to you. You have all the makings of an amazing Kim warlock, with twice the amount of guts." Jimin grins and suddenly notices Hoseok still laying on the ground. "Grandpa. It was Hoseok. He's the reason for all of this," Jimin explains.
"What?" Jin says looking at the cloaked Hoseok. Yoongi looks at his ex with widened eyes. Jin and Yoongi both approach him slowly. "Why would you do this?" Yoongi asks, "You're a good man, Hoseok."
"You could have had me, but you went to the mortal world. You fell in love with a mortal!" Hoseok yells out, "A human! We could've ruled together, but you chose a human over a powerful warlock like me!"
"This ends now, Hoseok. Your rule is over," Jin states firmly.
Hoseok hisses, "Don't underestimate me, Seokjin." He reaches out his hand and the talisman flies into his grasp. Jin looks at it in shock. "Now I will be ruler of both worlds!!!" Hoseok calls out. Jin immediately takes something out of his pocket and starts to chant. Yoongi links hands with his father and starts to chant the same words. There power isn't enough though. The kids stand in the back not knowing what to do. "Why, that guy...makes me wanna..." Taehyung says angrily. His hands start to shine a bit and glimmer. Jimin's eyes widen and he points it out, "Tae...look. It seems like we have another warlock in the family."
"Oh, no. I was supposed to be normal," Taehyung groans. Jimin smirks and walks up to join his father and grandfather. "Hey, Hoseok! You better give that talisman back or else," Jimin says in a confident tone.
Hoseok chuckles, "Half-human brat. You think you can stop me. Your power is nothing compared to mine."
"Well, that may be true. But, what about my powers combined with my dad's, grandpa's, and my two brothers," Jimin states linking hands with his father and Jungkook. Jungkook reaches out to take Taehyung's hand. He hesitates before grabbing it and closing his eyes as well. They all use their magical abilities and the talisman glows a bright light. That bright light engulfs Hoseok, who proceeds to vanish in a flash. The talisman flies right back into Jin's hands. They all cry out in joy and embrace. They had defeated Hoseok. All was right again in Halloweentown. "Dad, I'm sorry. There is a lot about Halloweentown that I just don't understand. I'm sorry about the things I said and did," Jimin says with an apologetic face.
Yoongi smiles, "I'm sorry for not trusting you." The two of them embrace. When they pull away, Jimin catches a red cloak moving away from the crowd. His eyes widen, "I forgot about Namjoon." He walks over to where Namjoon is sitting on a bail of hay. "Hey," Jimin says sitting down next to them. Namjoon slowly lifts his head up, his once handsome features morphed into his actual appearance. "So, this is what you actually look like?" Jimin asks.
Namjoon nods, "Yeah, the worst part is, I wasn't following Hoseok because I was under some spell. I did it because he made me look handsome. It isn't really that great of a reason to be evil and all. Plus, even though I was good-looking, I never had a chance of going on a date with you."
Jimin smiles and kisses Namjoon on the cheek, "I think you're already pretty handsome and you have a heart of gold. You did a very good thing by helping me out before. I couldn't have done it without you. Maybe, next time, we can go on an actual date."
Namjoon grins, "I'd like that."
Jimin bites his lower lip and grins as well. "Jimin! It's time to go!" Yoongi calls out. Jimin gives Namjoon a small wave and rushes over to his father. "I guess that it's time for me to give the kids back," Jin says.
Yoongi nods his head, "You know, father. You're very good with them. I was thinking of hiring a babysitter to watch the kids when I'm busy, but seeing as you're so good with them..."
"Ah, Yoongi, you know I can only crossover on Halloween," Jin replies.
"Yeah, well, I guess that just means you'll have to move in with us," Yoongi says. The kids' faces all light up in joy. "This is going to be so amazing!" Jimin exclaims, "I can show you all of my books and the Frankenstein movies!"
Yoongi sighs, "That is if you want to."
"It would love to move in with my son and grandkids," Jin says with a smile. He snaps his fingers and his bag makes its way over to the group. He opens it up and takes out a broom. He hands it to Jimin, who smiles and gives Jin a side hug. "We can also continue your training," Jin says. Jimin nods his head and makes his way towards the bus. Yoongi grabs the broom from Jimin's hand, "Um. No."
"But, dad...." Jimin groans.
Yoongi smiles, "I'll be finishing up your training." Jimin looks at his dad in surprise and then gives him a hug. The bell of the bus rings and the group all look at one another. They each climb onto the bus one by one. "Back to the mortal world!" The driver yells out as he shuts the door.
