What if the time twins returned during the final battle with the Oni? So here we go.

April 8, 2019 (alternate universe)

The ninja and Garmadon we're outside the monastery fighting the Oni while everyone else was inside. That was when a portal opened up and two people landed. The time twins were facing away from the others until they heard Morro. "YOU TWO!" They turned around and saw Morro coming at them with a katana. He was about to attack Krux when Ash stood between the two parties. "Ash, what are you doing?" Ash was signing which confused the twins. Morro nodded.

"I understand. We have a much bigger threat to deal with." Morro lowered his weapon. That was when Krux spoke.

"Can't Ash talk?"

"Not after Damion attacked her while trying to bring down Garmadon and his cult. Her vocal cords collapsed and can't be repaired. Ash can sign, but she's not deaf. Now if you'll excuse us, we got some Oni to deal with and don't need you two interfering." Morro told them. That was when the ninja rushed through the door and shut it. They noticed the twins, but didn't attack them.

"What are we going to do? We're doomed." Jay was panicking when Ash walked up and slapped him. "OW!" Ash started signing which Krux translated.

"Ash suggests the Tornado of Creation."

"We haven't used that since we created the Raider during the Devourer's rampage. Are you sure it'll work?" Cole asked. Ash kept on signing.

"It's the only other option to try and stop these Oni. If it doesn't work, Ash says it's been fun fighting by your side. Wu?"

"It's worth a shot. Anyone who doesn't know Spinjitzu needs to take shelter inside the monastery." Ash, Morro, and the monks who were there nodded. "That includes you two." Wu told Krux and Acronix. "Now go and be safe." Everyone ran in and closed the door just as the others yelled, "NINJA-GO!"

They were in the living room where Ash pulled a lever to activate the metal blinds. The monastery shook which caused Ash to hug Morro tightly while he rubbed his sister's back.

"It's going to be ok Ash. No matter what happens, I'll always be there for you. I love you." The twins were watching until Acronix did the same. It felt like forever when everything went silent. Ash let go.

"It's quiet. Do you think they did it?" Krux asked. He got his answer when he heard cheering. But as soon as the four went outside, they saw the others crowded around Lloyd. Ash and Morro joined in. The twins watched as they mourned Lloyd's 'death'.

"Oh Ash, I'm sorry." Krux whispered. He and Acronix lowered their heads as well. Ash went to get up until she heard Lloyd groaning. She tackled her cousin into a hug and Lloyd returned it.

"I'm ok Ash. But we did it." Ash was still hugging him. "GROUP HUG!" Jay yelled as the others joined in. As the twins watched on, Acronix realized something.

"Krux, that's a family. We tried to break apart a family." Krux only nodded. Everyone heard a painful tell and saw Garmadon on the ground. Wu tried to get close to his brother, but a flashed blinded everyone there. When it disappeared, they were shocked to see that Garmadon was a human again. Soon enough, he was pulled into another group hug. After a while, Kai spoke.

"Since the Oni are defeated, how about we move on the the other threat?" Kai was referring to the twins.

"I don't think Ash will let you hurt them." Morro told him. Kai looked over and saw Ash glaring and holding a katana. The fire ninja gulped as he is scared of her. To ease the tension, Jay recommended a party to celebrate the defeat of the Oni. The others agreed and the twins were no longer a threat.

April 10, 2019

Everyone was celebrating at the monastery. Ash was conversing with Krux and Nix. She was signing while Krux was translating so his brother could understand.

"Can you teach me sign language?" Nix asked. Ash nodded which made the twin happy. Zane walked up to them and Ash signed to him.

"This? Cyrus and Pixal were working on something similar to the translator collars the dogs from Up wore. Of course this isn't a collar, but you get the idea. It'll let us hear your voice again through your thoughts." Ash agreed and let Zane put the necklace on her.

"Does it work?" Nix asked. Ash walked up to the twins and slapped them. "Ow, she just pimp slapped me in the face."

"Good, you deserve it you arsehole." Ash said through her thoughts.

"It actually works. That is so cool. See Krux, not all technology is bad. It helped your friend talk again." Krux just rolled his eyes and the party continued. All was peaceful.

Like in most of my AU's, the series ends after the defeat of the Oni. Hence why Garmadon is human again.
