Trust In Your Gut!

Closing the door of the dining hall in the old building shut, you sighed and began making your way back to the restaurant, the metal tray that once held Nagito's breakfast now completely cleared and being carried under your arm as you walked up the white staircase and entered the small eatery. Some students were still chatting away and most had dispersed, but you were actually grateful that most of them were gone, as you only could handle minimal conversation at the moment. You wanted to go back to your cottage and think for a while about what Nagito said before you left.

"Ask Koizumi-san if she'd seen the game yet and tell her to come see me when she has?" you thought his words over to yourself. "What the hell is the game he's referring to?"

Going back to the kitchen to put the tray back, you were suddenly stopped by Chiaki when she called your attention in the midst of you looking for the correct cabinet.

"Ah, (Y/N), there you are!" Chiaki said, her voice seeming cheery but her tone its usual low and soft tired-sounding self. "How did it go?"

"God, not this shit again." You thought to yourself. "Why do people not trust him?!"

You smiled at her and slipped the tray into the proper cupboard.

"Perfectly fine, of course." You responded happily. "Why do you ask?"

Chiaki smiled back.

"Oh good, I'm glad. Well...its just..." her words trailed off. "Komaeda is kinda...I guess you can say he has got quite a twisted side to him if triggered by accident."

"Oh..." You said looking down. "So...is he dangerous or something? People keep warning me and its all so confusing. I don't know whether to trust them or to just continue with what I am doing."

Chiaki looked at you with a serious expression on her face.

"(Y/N), if you feel like what you're doing is right, and you feel as if he will not harm you or do any of the other things people may say or warn you about, just continue with what you want to do. The best thing is to just trust the feeling in your heart and not listen to what anyone else has to say about that! That's most important! Be confident and do what you want! I wont tell you you're wrong if something is your personal opinion."

You smile at her, still a little unsure but understanding and a little motivated.

"Thanks, Nanami-san."

All she does is smile and nod back.

"I'm around if you need to talk about anything or just pass time!" She says putting her hand on your shoulder. "But for now," she starts, mid-way through her sentence taking a quick break to yawn. "I'm going to go back to bed." As she finishes her statement, Chiaki makes her way out of the kitchen, lifting her arm up to wave weakly then put her hand back down and exit the restaurant.

Chuckling slightly, you observe the area around you to make sure you didn't leave anything behind, then make your way out the door and back to your cottage.

Flopping down onto your bed, you just laid there staring up at the ceiling. It was still early in the morning, and you did want to do something today, but you didn't know what. Unfortunately, talking to people was the only option unless you decided upon just playing games all day. You would work on improving the holographic strong AI program that got the scouts of Hope's Peak interested in your talents, but you had no internet to assist you with loading the damn thing up, and you would draw or paint, but you knew, in the end, no matter what you do, it'll never look as good as what you expect. That's just how its been always.

"Guess I'll talk to Koizumi-san about that question Komaeda-kun had for her then!" You thought aloud, once again retrieving your bag and throwing it onto your back. "Nothing else to do anyway."

Exiting your cottage, you began walking to Mahiru's when you were suddenly stopped by Sonia calling your name and running over to you.

"Hello once again (Y/N)!" Sonia said, getting a hold of your hands and spinning you around excitedly leaving you more than a little confused and slightly nervous.

You never really got treated like this and it was rare anyone ever held your hand, especially when they were this happy. All you knew was that you would see girls do this to each other all the time at school, especially when they were exited or happy about something, but you never really did that sorta' thing with your friends, number one main thing being that 3/4ths of your friends were guys, and number two being...well...you and your friends weren't like that ever. You were called the outcasts for a reason.

"H-hi Sonia...how are you?" You asked nervously.

"I'm well, thank you! I'm hoping you're doing well also!" Sonia said cheerfully back.

"I guess you have to be really outgoing and cheerful when you're a princess, huh?" you thought to yourself.

"Anyways!" Sonia started. "I have a question!"

You smiled nervously but warmly at her, nodding as to say "sure, go ahead."

"Well, me and all of the other girls are going to get together tomorrow and have a little beach date! We all wanted to get to know each other a little more, so I thought it would be a perfect time for this, and, since you are a girl, and you are new here, you would, of course, be invited too!"

"T-that's very nice of you. Thank you for the invitation. I don't have anything better to do, and it will be nice to talk to everyone, so I'll go." you let out worriedly from the thought of the social interaction set to come.

Sonia did a thumbs up right in front of your face and beamed at you happily.

"Wonderful! We'll be going to Chandler beach on the second island but meeting at the diner at 3:00 pm!" She exclaimed squeezing you hand.

"Okay, sounds good." you confirmed. "See you tomorrow."

Sonia let go of your hands and fist pumped in the air.

"Okay! Bye bye!" Sonia said turning away and starting to walk joyfully to the entrance gates of the hotel.

Realizing what you were doing before the surprise you just had, you turned to Sonia and called for her again.

"Oh wait! Sonia!"

Sonia turned around, her golden hair neatly getting flipped around behind her continuing to keep its perfect shape and form.

"I need to ask you a question as well!" You said doing a light jog over to her. "Wheres Koizumi-san? Have you seen her by any chance?"

Sonia put her hand to her face and narrowed her eyebrows, her expression obviously giving off that she was thinking hard.

"Well...I saw her about an hour ago maybe. She said she wasn't feeling that good. Why, do you need her for something?"

You nodded.

"Yeah, Komaeda-kun told me to pass a message on to her for him. Something about a game and if she had played it yet, and when she has to go see him..."

Sonia's eyes widened a little bit.

"A game...?"

You nodded back at her.

"Yeah, that's all he said. Do you know about it?" you asked her with a concerned tone.

"Most likely. Twilight Syndrome Murder Case."

Your eye brows shot up.

"TWILIGHT SYNDROME MURDER CASE?! Where?! They have a machine here?! That's amazing! I haven't played that game in forever!"

Sonia shook her head, a little bit of sadness lingering in her expression.

"No...not amazing..." Sonia said, her tone low and serious. "It is not what you think unfortunately. It's another motive Monokuma prepared in hopes that another killing will occur."

All you could respond back with was a slight "Oh" as you looked away from her deep in thought.

"I am very sorry that I do not know Kouzumi-san's location, but you can check her cottage if you haven't already done so."

You looked back up at her and nodded.

"I will. Thank you." In desperate attempts to keep your hope and spirit up, you quickly change the subject. "So, what are you going to go do now?"

Sonia motioned to follow her and you two exited the hotel.

"Getting a bathing suit for tomorrow. Come on, lets go get one for you too."
