It All Starts Now
(OKAY, YES, I KNOW, THIS HAS NO KOMAEDA IN IT YET, BUT I PROMISE, HE IS COMING SOON, I AM VERY SORRY FOR MAKING YOU WAIT!!!)

Your eyes fluttered open slowly as the bright sun shone through your window and hit your face waking you up from your deep sleep. You got up slowly as you regained consciousness and realized where you were. You sighed deeply.
"Dammit. So it wasn't a dream. Fuck me."
Spinning yourself around and letting your legs hang off of the bed as you rubbed your eyes and took a few seconds to recap what was happening.
"Jeez. At least the room is nice." You muttered.
You room, just like everyone else's, were filled with things to accommodate your likings and ultimate ability. Sketch pads and canvases were stacked on top of a desk along with pencils, paints, markers, and other equipment along with an assortment of video games, manga, and anime. Near the bathroom, there was a similar desk.
"Huh?...Lap...top? WAIT! LAPTOP?!!" You screamed as you rushed over to the desk and opened the closed screen that unlocked to a loading screen showing a spinning Monokuma head. "Come on, come on....YES!!"
The screen lit up and presented a simple home screen.
"FUCK YEA-nooooooooo" your voice trailed off.
The small amount of hope you had inside of you was lost after you realized there was no connection on the laptop. No service for communication. Nothing. Just animating and drawing applications along with simple programming utilities.
"Welp. Contacting anyone is out of the question! Greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat."
Groaning, you went into the bathroom to check out all the works. You were surprised to see how clean it was in there, and very happy to see everything you needed for morning and night time care neatly organized and packed. There was also a washer fortunately enough so you can keep your clothes clean. Walking back to the main room, you took in the sight of your bed for the first time. It was messy and the blankets were spilling off of the sides of it, but you left it like that knowing how much you enjoyed it being that way. You sighed and looked up at the ceiling smiling. Aside from the killing, you didn't think this was all that bad, and maybe you could get used to living on the island away from the stress and panic of the real world awaiting you when you got back home. You froze at that thought.
"Oh God, what if I DON'T make it back home?!" You found yourself saying then frantically feeling around in your pockets. Letting out a sigh of relief as you pulled out the knife from your back pant pocket, you squeezed it thanking god for it not getting taken by anyone or it getting lost. It was something your childhood friend gave to you to keep yourself out of trouble and protect yourself with, and up to now, it was the only thing you could use to remember him by since you went to a different school. The tool was used as a stress relief as well, and you felt it almost carried a bit of him with it, which made you feel happy and at ease. You didn't even know where he could be now. All that you knew was that you were o.k since you still have your knife! "No...calm down. All you have to do is stay calm, keep a smile on your face, and go out there and prevent the killings from happening! Yeah! That's it!" you attempted to encourage yourself, blatantly lying to your anxiety and fears. "Okay...next order of business! Gotta find out what time it i-"
Suddenly, you were interrupted by an unexpected noise behind you as the monitor hanging above your second desk flicked on to show Monokuma sitting in a throne-like chair with a drink in his hand.
*ding dong ding dong*
"Ahem...Hope's Peak Academy's School Field Trip Executive Committee has an announcement to make...Gooooood morning everyone! Looks like today is gonna be another perfect, tropical day! Now then, let's show some enthusiasm and make sure to give it our all today!"
You glanced up at the monitor confused.
"Ah, yes! There is something else I must address! As of today, we will be welcoming a new student! So make sure to give her your warmest of welcomes!"
As the last word of the bear's sentence was muttered, the monitor went out like a light, ending morning announcements as quick as they started.
"I guess that was morning announcements then, huh." You concluded. "Wait...JEEZ DID THEY REALLY HAVE TO MENTION ME?!"
Panicking, you held your shaking head tightly and tried to regain calmness. Sighing once more, you went back into the bathroom and looked into the mirror. Great. You looked like shit.
"Oh great. First impressions are everything and I look like I've been thrown out of a plane! Oh wait..."
Facepalming then searching around for a hair brush, you hurried to get ready quickly so you can go and meet the others and attempt to make yourself not look like a complete idiot. Thankfully, you always carried around some sort of extra clothing in your backpack. This time, you were delighted to see a clean shirt and paint-stained sweatshirt among the varied novels, snacks, and games that were thrown in there. In the midst of your searching and frantic organizing, there was a knock on your door. Your whole body got tense and you just stared at the door in fear of whomever was behind it.
"U-ummm...(Y/N)? Its Monomi. I came by to see if you needed any help with introducing yourself to the others!"
"OH THANK GOD ITS JUST MONOMI!" You thought to yourself as you made your way to the door and let Monomi inside.
"Good morning! How are you doing?!" She asked happily.
"Good morning, Monomi. Fine so far I think. I'm grateful its just you." you replied relived. "Thank you for coming over. I really would appreciate you helping me with introductions. Mild...social...anxiety...you know, hehe...ehh..."
You laughed nervously as you pulled on the (insert color) sweatshirt you found in your bag after taking off the one you had on previously.
"No problem! Leave it to me!"
