READER'S POV

A few days have gone by since that incident and I was still having some nightmares about it but I'm just glad that Strider is here with me when I told mum what happened she didn't reply it's like she's ignoring me. I knew I couldn't take any more of it I tried phoning her and texting her but still nothing every night when I go to bed I cry myself to sleep and Strider tries to comfort me when that happens.

As for Dark Link he comes over sometimes and he also tries to comfort me as well whenever I tell him about the nightmares I keep on having at some nights.

But then one day, When dark Link came over to visit he asked me,"Hey, if you're sick and tired of living here by yourself and if your mother is just ignoring you, then come and live with me."

"What? Are you sure? I'm just being a burden around you."I asked him. Dark said,"Nonsense, I love hanging out with you and at least you'll get a lot of attention as well. I don't want to leave you on your own again like last-"

He was just about to say something else until her cover his mouth with his hand. I glared at him and said,"What was that?" Dark Link said,"Sorry, I was just saying that's all but if you want to stay here then that's fine."

"I'm joking, but if you're really sure then I will just give me a chance to get my things ready."I said as I got up from the couch and I heard him say,"All right I'll be back at the castle waiting for you."

He got off the couch and then he headed back to the portal. I got some of my essentials and some of Strider's toys and his favourite food bowl. I got a pen and paper and I wrote,"To mum, I'm sorry but I can't take any of this ignorance any longer ever since big brother and dad died you never talk or look at me like what we used to do when I was little. I've decided to move out of here to live with a friend and I've also taken Strider with me I don't want him to live with a horrible mother like you if you're just going to ignore us. Goodbye, from your only daughter, (Y/N)."

I placed the note on the fridge and I got my bag and Strider's lead. I put the lead on Strider and we both went through the portal and there was Dark Link waiting for us as well.

"You sure you have everything?" Dark Link said as he notices the bag. I said,"Yeah, some of it contains Strider's things."

"Do you always come prepared?"He asked me. I giggled and said,"Sometimes, Come on Strider."

"Woof!" He barks happily.

TIME SKIP...

After settling in for a while I got changed into a new (F/C) dress Dark Link got me. The top had opened shoulders and it has some short sleeves and the skirt was long. Once I tied my hair into fish tail plait Strider looked at me happily and I said,"What? Do you think I look beautiful?"

"Woof!" Strider barks at that question. I said,"Thanks boy you must be happy as well I'm glad we're not back at that place." I said as I petted his head and just then I heard someone knock on the door and I said,"Come in."

The door opened and it was Dark Link. He looked at me up and down and he said,"Well, you look beautiful."

"Thanks Strider seems to think so." I said as I looked at him. Striders barks happily again,"Woof woof"

"Come on lunch is ready and Strider there's a dog who wants to meet you." Strider looked at him with a surprised look and I laughed a little. We were outside and there was a beautiful grey and white husky dog. She came over to us and she licked my hand and I petted her and she seemed to like it.

"Strider, (Y/N), meet rose."Dark Link as he introduced her to us. I said to Rose,"Hey girl it's nice to meet you." Rose then went to Strider and she started to sniff at him and he did the same and then they both ran off and they were barking at each other.

"It looks like they're getting along well." I said as I watched the two of them and Dark Link says,"They sure are." We both sat down at the patio and we both watched Rose and Strider playing with each other while we ate our sandwiches.

"I think Strider likes Rose." Dark says. I looked back at them and said,"I was thinking the same thing, this is the first time I've seen him taken an interest in a girl except me."

"Is that right?" Dark Link said as he ate another sandwich. I said,"Yeah, Strider always stays beside me and he watches over me as well he's like a guard dog around me at times, this was your idea to get him away from me for a moment wasn't it?"

"Bingo, I didn't want Strider sitting beside you all the time because I wanted to spend more time with you without him giving the angry look and the annoying growling of his as well." Dark Link said as he grims at that memory. I said,"*Laughs*, I completely understand besides, Strider definitely needs a girlfriend and I think he's found one."

DARK LINK'S POV

She smiles at me and I start to blush a little I looked away and said,"Uh there's no need to thank me anyway besides I figured Strider would like her anyway."

"Aw man, she's so cute when she smiles like that." I thought to myself.

My thoughts were interrupted when she said,"Actually I do want to thank you, Dark Link, for letting me and Strider stay here with you but to be honest it's gonna feel weird not visiting dad and big brother's graves."

"Hey don't worry about it I know what to do." I suggested. (Y/n) looked a bit confused and said, "Huh?"

TIME SKIP AGAIN...

(Y/N) finished engraving her dad's and her brother's names on the stone grave she said,"This view is perfect Dark Link, how do you know it?"

"Because this is also where I buried my mother, look." I said as I pointed at her grave.

READER'S POV

I looked at the grave stone and her name was Amelia and I said,"Do you mind if I ask how-"

"She was killed by some bandits when I was at a young age I never knew who my father was."He said as he looked at the distance living a fond memory. I said,"Sorry it must've brought back some bad memories."

"It's OK I've got you haven't I?" He said as he held my hand. I smiled and said,"Yeah." I then felt his arm wrap around my shoulder which did made me blush a little.

"His arm is wrapped around me he's got nice muscles that's for sure," I thought to myself.

Dark Link pulled me closer to him and then he drew his face closer to my lips. We were just about kiss until it started to rain Dark Link pulled his cloak over us and he then said,"Come on let's get to the castle and get warmed up."

"All right, Strider! Rose!" I shouted and then they came running towards us and we headed back to the castle.
