Chapter 11

Satoru POV.

Where could she be!? I don't remember her running so fast. Last time I think she ran this fast was to go to the toy store, since all of the toys there were on a 50% sale. That was a good time.

I looked around everywhere, but still could not find her. She was probably hiding somewhere. I stopped to take a break when I heard crying, I looked over to where it came from, and Ayame was sitting on the floor crying. She was hugging her knees tightly as she did.

"Ayame!" I yelled to her while waving my hands.

It was my mistake for yelling because she ran off again. I ran after her, but lost her again. Meaning I had to search for her all over again.

"Ayame! Please come out, everyone is waiting for you." I pleaded.

"..." - Ayame.

She said nothing, but I kept looking around, calling her name. Finally she came out from a dark ally near me.

"I-I'm sorry." Ayame apologized.

"You don't need to apologize." I told her walking up to her.

Her face was very pale from crying, and shivering a little from the cold air.

"Let's go, the rest are waiting for us." I told her calmly taking her hand.

10 min. Later. (There is something huge missing from this part, it will be mentioned later in the story)

Hikaru POV.

"How was your walk, Satoshi?" I asked smiling as he and Tomoko came back.

"Eh, she didn't talk that much." Satoshi shrugged while saying.

"Look, they're back." I pointed.

I looked at Ayame, she was really pale. Satoru was next to her helping her walk.

"Let's get going." I say energetically.

"Okay." Tomoko said ready to go home.

"We'll take Ayame from here now." Etsu told Satoru.

We started walking and took many turns and went down slopes. It took about 25 min. to get back to the school, but we finally arrived.

"I guess this is where we split up..bye." I told everyone.

"Yea...bye." Etsu said.

"See you tomorrow!" Satoshi yelled waving his hands.

I looked at Etsu she was walking the other direction of Tomoko and Ayame. I decided to follow Etsu.

"Etsu!" I called out running towards her.

"Huh?" Etsu turned.

"Can I walk you home?" I asked.

"Sure..." she said confused.

"Sorry for all the trouble, only if I hadn't tried to chase after Ayame." I apologized.

"No it's ok, but what is this conflict between you and Ayame. I mean is it really serious?" She asked.

"Well, you see Ayame was a very good friend to us, you know Satoshi and Satoru. She was like a big sister to us, she took care of us and always helped us when we needed it." I said.

"Wow, are we talking about the same Ayame?" she asked me.

"Yes, but when we grew older we formed a group that soon got popular in school." I told her.

"Like the one with you and Satoshi and Satoru?" she asked me.

"Yea, but Ayame was in it too. She really didn't like it because she was being treated differently by other girls, so she couldn't make friends because of this. We were her only friends." I said.

"Why was she treated differently?" she asked.

"She was the only girl in the group, other girls were jealous." I said.

"So she left the group, but once she made friends, we got in the way of their friendship. Remember, we didn't do it on purpose. One day she just came up to us and told us to act like we never even met, so we agreed since she was a bit lonely." I said.

"Wow that is a bit harsh of her, but it kind of makes sense. I don't think you guys will get in the way of my friendship with Ayame though, cause I think we can become good friends." she said confidently.

"Look we arrived at my house. Thank you for walking me." she thanked me.

"No biggie." I said casually.

"See you tomorrow and I hope we all could become good friends!" she said with a bright smile.

I watched her skip into her house, but what was that feeling just now. I felt so happy. I took a last glance at her house and left.
