Chapter four
Friday, September 25
(I'm skipping days/weeks because there isn't much I want going on during that time.)
I wake up and think to myself, 'wow Meisei, this has been an eventful week. First you find your mate and beat up Danny. Then you find Danny behind you with a happy/sad look at build-a-bear. Then you introduce Delila to church.' "How could I have found my mate at this age? How can I even shift into my wolf at this age?" I didn't realize I said the last part out loud.
I then hear a males voice, "because, you are the one werewolf who believes in me. You are special and you have the hearts of many others."
"Who was that?" I ask.
"Who was what?" Delila says tiredly.
"I heard a males voice, but it must be..." I stop mid-sentence. Did... God just speak to me.
I get a vision.
"Delila! Delila, where are you?" I hear a groan. I have no control of what I'm doing. I rummage through some things and find something. It's her wolf from build-a-bear.
I hear a cry then a males voice. "Meisei. There's nothing you can do. Delila is dying, and it's your time as well. Just know I love you. It's time to come home to Heaven."
I come back to reality. Delila screaming my name. "Delila, what's wrong?"
"You blacked out. I've been trying to get you up for the past 30 minutes! I almost called an ambulance!" She said. Toward the end, she was crying. "I thought I lost you."
I hug her tightly, my presence calming her. "Well I'm okay now, I'm here to stay. Why don't you go downstairs and get some breakfast?"
"Ok."
When she left I made the beds. When I'm done with that I kneel and pray.
"Dear God, I don't understand what the vision meant, but please help me. Help me prevent that from happening. Help me for doing what you want want me to do. Help me protect my mate from the bad things that will happen to her. In Jesus' name, amen."
I head downstairs to get some food. "So, Delila, what do you want to do today?" I ask.
"Doesn't matter to me." She said back.
"Well, remember when Adam said the District Lock-In was this weekend?"
"Yea."
"Why don't we go to that after school? I already payed for us both on Wednesday."
"Ok!"
************************************************
After school Delila and I packed for for the Lock-In and headed for the church. I ran in my wolf form, and somehow, she can shift already too. I have her stay in front of me in case someone tries to kidnap her or something like that. Right before we get out of the corn field, we shift back to human form and get our clothes on. Completely unnoticed.
We get to the church and knock on the front door. Jim, a helper for the youth group, opens the door for us. "Hey Meisei and Delila, are you here for the Lock-In already? The bus doesn't leave for another two hours."
"I came to help pack, and so did Delila." I reply back.
"Ok, well Adam is the one who organized it all, so he is already there setting up. We don't have many things to pack up here, but if you girls want to help, then go on ahead." Jack said.
I nodded and followed Jack to where the items were that needed to go in the church bus. We helped load and by the time we were done, it was an hour until we had to go. Delila and I sat down in one of the seats inside the church and waited for people to arrive. I eventually got bored and got on Unison League. About 15 minutes later I checked the time, my clock said 7:39 and we left at 8:02. People started to show up so I put my phone away. We all huddled into the bus, Delila and I sitting next to each other, she got the seat closer to the aisle and I got window.
I listened to music from my phone, with earbuds I borrowed from someone on the bus, and started singing along to Melanie Martinez' song "Mad Hatter". From the corner of my eye I notice Delila has her head back and her eyes closed. I take an earbud out and ask her if she's feeling alright. "Yea," she said. "I just like hearing you sing." I smiled blushing, and mouthed a thank you. I went back to the song which was on repeat.
Someone behind us put their hands on the seats. And asked, "So how did you two become such good friends?"
My eyes drift to Delila, then to Alexia, the person who asked. I answered, "I noticed she constantly got bullied, so I was nice to her. Never spoke to her before that and now we're dating." I didn't realize I said the last part until it was too late.
"WHAT!" Alexia said. All eyes on the bus were on us. Me, however, I don't get embarrassed easily, but Delila, sliding down in her seat.
Someone asked, "Wait guys, what's going on?"
Alexia piped up. "These two are dating!" She pointed to Delila and I.
"Hah! Noice. We have lesbians on the bus."
Everyone stares. Now I'm starting to get embarrassed. "OOOOHHHHH," everyone says.
"Would you guys just be nice to us! Goodness! We're humans just like you. Just because we're lesbians, doesn't make us any less human!" Except, we aren't human. We're werewolves, I thought.
Once I said that, everyone turned back around nodding their heads saying 'true' and 'sorry'.
I wake up and realize it was all a dream. I never realized I fell asleep. I'm kinda glad Alexia didn't ask that question. Anyway, we are at the Huntington, IN YMCA, which is where the Lock-In was at.
I never went to a Y before and neither has Delila. We walked in and immediately we were surrounded by people. Everyone was from a different church. People I've never met before... that's when my social anxiety kicks in. Butterflies in my stomach. I can get over it though.
We all meet in the gym. We have announcements then we go settle in our designated rooms. I check my phone to only find out it is 9:18.
Imma leave off here and do, the rest of the night and the next day, as soon as I can. Thank you all for being patient with me and I'm sorry for slow updates!
