Percy POV, Avenger Tower, New York:
"So what exactly can you do? Thor and Loki over there weren't specific." Clint Barton asked. I rubbed my jaw and chin. I'd have to shave when this was over, stubble was starting to grow in.
"I can control pretty much any kind of liquid, I can breathe under water, me and my clothes don't ever get wet unless I want to, I can create hurricanes and possibly tornadoes, probably earthquakes, and I can speak to fish," I said. "Also horses and pegasi." I added.
They all stared at me like I was insane. They were mortals after all. I waited to see if any of them would speak. Thor and Loki looked rather smug, and the rest of them turned to give each other looks. I itched to do something to fill the silence, so I dug Riptide out of my right front pocket and started twirling it around my fingers. I'd gotten really good at it since some of the classes Annabeth stuck me in when we were last minute forcasting were sort of boring.
"You're kidding right? I mean he's just a kid, he has to be kidding."Stark sounded flustered.
"Totally not kidding. Although you'll probably chalk up me talking to fish, horses, and pegasi as really good training. But I swear on the river Styx that I can." Thunder sounded in the distance, just like it always did when demigods swore upon her.
"Okay that craziness aside, breathe under water and stay dry? Controlling water too? That's even more insane." Natasha said. I nodded.
"Oh I totally agree. But, if you'll allow me to demonstrate, I'll prove it to you. Do you guys have a pool?" I asked.
The pool in Avenger Tower was twice the size of the one at my school, and nearly three times the size of the Canoe Lake. It was that massive. The pool had the same things the one at Goode did. It had the rope that separated the depth, rope hooks that indicated there were ropes for lane dividing, and of course, the black tile at the bottom to help divide lanes. I had taken up swimming this year, only because the reason Paul had given the school to let me start junior year, even thought I never took sophomore, was because I was Olympic training for swimming.
"You're drooling kid," Loki whispered in my ear. I glared at him.
The whole elevator ride, Loki had been watching me. Almost the same way I watched Tyson back in seventh grade. It was protective. I'm not sure why Loki needed to protect me. He said he knew the stories. I can take care of myself.
"Well, show us what you got, Jackson." Stark said with a hint of boredom. In that moment I decided he would be my test dummy. If only Annabeth was here.
"Sure thing Mr. Stark." I said, saluting. I think he wanted to yawn.
