Another show that I grew up watching, this theory was proposed to me by my good friend, JazzmenMoody.

  So, you know how for the first four seasons of the show, Max pretty much just spoke in a single word or phrase over and over again? Well, I've heard plenty of theories about the cause. Some believe that it simply indicates neurodivergency, while others speculate that this muteness stems from trauma.

  I, for one, like to believe the former (of course, that's probably just my autism talking), but Jazzy leans more towards the latter. She believes that Max's selective muteness comes from the loss of his and Ruby's grandfather, who was quite close with Max.

  Despite my differing opinion, I personally believe that such a theory holds up well. I mean, the only time we ever get to see Grandpa is in a photo from the past.
