You know the old Hanna-Barbera cartoon "Help! It's The Hair Bear Bunch!"? Well, what if their portrayal in "Jellystone!" actually gave that statement some weight?

  They'd both be a (semi-)dangerous criminal gang (akin to The Banana Splits or The King's Crew), but they put up a facade of a harmless hippie trio.

  I also think that Penford Pooch, AKA Hong Kong Phooey (who might be referred to by his original name, Kung-Phooey), could be a retired action movie star who works as a janitor and eventually starts striving to restore his former glory. He might do this by becoming a vigilante or hiring a criminal gang (or Top Cat's crew) to stage kidnappings so Kung-Phooey can "leap in to the rescue."

  The prime targets for the staged kidnappings would be Mayor Huckleberry (who'd be just as chill as always and be rescued by either El Kabong or Mr. Jinks), Snagglepuss (who'd be frightened, terrified even), or Augie, Shag, and Yakky (or just Yakky, whom Augie and Shag would rescue). 

  Side note: I kinda think that in Jellystone!, Quick Draw McGraw exists as El Kabong's Old Western ancestor. Also, maybe the "El" in El Kabong's name is short for "Elliott."
