You know how this series makes Doggie Daddy a helicopter parent? Well, I think I might have an idea as to why.

  As I'm sure at least some of you already know, no portrayals of Augie Doggie and/or Doggie Daddy ever have the mother appear. Well, what if I told you that Jellystone! might actually have a reason for that and Doggie Daddy's overprotectiveness towards Augie.

  Okay, so my headcanon is that a while back, Doggie Daddy was (very) happily married to someone named Maggie. I'm not sure what either of them might've thought about having a baby.

  Anyway, I think that after giving birth, Maggie might've ended up flatlining while the baby was being handled. Upon seeing this, Doggie Daddy would've started crying hysterically until the baby was brought into the room. He would've looked into his newborn daughter's eyes and seen Maggie's soul in them, a soul which he's sworn to protect at all costs.

  Also, Doggie Daddy's meltdown over losing Maggie might've ended up on the news.
