Here's their backstory: 

Cobra and Mist were born in the rainforest and amongst the rainwings. They have split powers, for example, Mist has gills, glowing scale patches and can change the color of her scales and Cobra has a barbed Sandwing tail that instead of injecting normal sandwing poison it injects Rainwing acid and he has rainwing fangs. They were quickly found by Burn and used as pawns in the war. Cobra was told to kill any dragon that posed any threat and Mist to drive Burn's prisoners to the brink of insanity by whispering into their ears. They seemed perfectly fine with it but every night they would sneak out to plan their escape. As the brightest night grew near they escaped fleeing into the rainforest. Mist later joined Jade Mountain Academy disguising herself as Coconut in the Copper winglet were no one suspected a thing. Cobra however was later found and adopted by the newly appointed Queen Thorn. He was taught kindness and empathy and still to this day, travels Pyrrhia searching for his beloved sister in hopes of reuniting.
