Backstory

Merlyn has been on her own for a few months now and was living in a small cave just off the border of Camelot and Ealdor.

She had been driven out of her childhood home after an incident with a few boys in her village.

Merlyn honestly missed her mother dearly and wanted to go back to her, but she knew it would only cause problems.

A few weeks go by and Merlyn is out picking herbs when she hears men yelling and swords clashing.

Being a curious person, Merlyn goes to see who is causing such a ruckus close to her home.

She was surprised to find a knight fighting against a group of bandits by himself.

Merlyn, who she was, decided to help the injured knight from her spot, hidden in the trees.

She slowly moved forward after the last bandit fell, catching the knight as he fell unconscious.

Merlyn knew she had only one choice, take the knight back to her home and heal him.

It took a few days before the knight awoke, but she was by his side constantly worried for him.

Merlyn was also scared of how the knight would react to her as she had used magic around him, but she also hoped he would have forgotten.

She was lucky the knight hadn't remembered anything but passing out and fighting bandits.

Merlyn had lied saying she came across him on her way home and had tended to his wounds for a few days before he woke.

She also told him it was unsafe for him to travel till fully healed, and that took a bit of convincing since he seemed to be in a hurry to return to his kingdom.

Merlyn and Leon, the knight, had gotten close over the few weeks he had spent with her, however, it was time for him to leave.

She and Leon spent their last night together passionately showing each other how much they cared for one another.

Years later, Merlyn received a letter from her mother that her uncle Gaius needed help as the court physician and was asking for her.

However, there is a problem, Merlyn had given birth to a child after her night with Leon.

She has also changed her hair and clothing to look more like a man because it was safer for her and Marlowe when they traveled.
