Caitlin Bates was just a normal girl until her 11th birthday, she was receiving the same treatment as any kid in the orphanage.

However, something felt off and when one of the older girls finally pushed the last button Caitlin snapped, causing the rundown home's light to flicker and a few windows to break.

That weekend Caitlin was visited by a man who looked to be 100 years old and was handed a letter.

Caitlin read the letter when she was alone in her room and was surprised by its content.

She was one of the few apparently 'Muggle-born' kids to be attending Hogwarts.

Caitlin had no idea the journey that was to come for her but was happy to get away from the 'Muggle' world for a few months.

She also was surprised by the things she learns while away and of the apparently straight she had as a witch.

However, Caitlin is struggling in this world also, cause love and friendship with jerks are hard.
