Backstory

Kisaki Sugawara wanted to follow her older brother, and become a setter in volleyball.

However, at the age of 13, she and her parents were trapped in the house one afternoon while Koshi was at a friend's house.

Her parents risked their lives to save her, and they didn't make it.

Kisaki after a few weeks in the hospital was released, but she was told she needs to figure out something other than volleyball because it would put too much stress on her healing body.

She at first just went to school and back home, but one day while she was looking through a box in the attic she found an old type of her mother's.

Kisaki's curiosity got the best of her, and she rushed to her room to watch it, and she was amazed by what she was watching.

Apparently, in high school, her mother was on a cheer dance team, and she was amazing.

She was crying when Koshi got home and told him she was going to take dance lessons at the local gym to get started in following their mom's footsteps.

Now, a second-year in Karasuno, Kisaki is vic-captain of the school's dance club and is working at a kid's camp teaching dance for extra money to help pay the bills.

Kisaki is also one of the top kids in all her classes, so she was begged by her brother to help with tutoring the second-years that needed help before their test.
