Max Blitzen wasn't like the other reindeer, he didn't want to replace his father as one of the slide pullers.

He truthfully didn't have the body for it and wasn't like his cousins.

Max wanted to be more like his human side, he wanted to have a life outside of the North Pole.

He wanted to see what humans did every day, not just see snow and Christmas year-round.

Don't get him wrong Max loved Christmas like everyone else, he just knew there had to be more to life than it.

So when he is sent to America to check on a boy in place of his father he takes the opportunity to look around.
