Dylin Al Ghul was Talia's first attempt to make the perfect successor for Ra Al Ghul, but to them, he was a failure.

He wasn't perfect at everything, but he was a genius in most things he did do.

Talia sent Daylin away a few years before having Damian, she didn't want him tainting her new successor.

However, she never planned on Daylin actually keeping an eye on his brother or following them when she took Damien to his father.
