(Mikan fall in love with Luniar because Luniar shows her she is appreciated and loved by writing it on her hand every day as she writes the word "perfect" on Hajime's hand, showing them both she loves and appreciates them both and thinking that Hajime is perfect the way he, because of this when Mikan falls to despair she falls even harder for Luniar despite it being a one way love on Mikan's part, doesn't stop her from loving Luniar)

Luniar's despair is one that gives hope to someone and then takes it away, making them feel even more despair than what they originally was feeling. (Part of the reason the tragedy got worse)

Information:
Luniar Yama before coming to Hopes peek she was a really skilled at assassination, she can use any weapon that is ever created and she knows how to kill someone without any weapon by using her hands or any thing that's not really classed as a weapon. She was beaten and mentally abused as a child, she was told over and over again that she was worthless and nothing, she was used to do anything and she was even made to assassinate people which she eventually got really good at. Since she was born she had no hope she only knew despair, the despair she felt was even stronger then Junko Enoshima's and when Junko first met her she already knew that. When the tragedy happen and everyone found out that Junko died they all turned to Luniar to be their leader.

When meeting Junko;
Luniar met Junko Enoshima when she was walking through the halls of Hopes peak academy, As soon as Junko walked passed her she stopped Luniar instantly knowing the despair Luniar carried was far more greater than hers, then later sees Luniar sat there with "Izuru Kamakura".

During the tragedy;
While the tragedy was beginning Luniar was stood there beside Izuru Kamakura like she have been ever since she met Hajime Hinata (she have always spent time with him), however the despair she carried came out fully and even made the tragedy worse than what it was. She even fakes her death to make the future foundation have hope that one of the masterminds is dead only too have it crushed later on when Luniar "comes back to life" after Junko's death. She video chatted with the future foundation to showcase her revival to the whole world, making everyone go and cause more despair. She rounded up the remnants and sent out another video chat, this time having the remnants distract the future foundation while she got ready. When she joined them she was acting as Junko Enoshima and managed to convince them all she was back. Until Makoto Naegi saw through the disguise. That's when she went to each foundation member and hacked their phones sending them a message about something they didn't want anyone knowing. Later she introduced "Mass Mutilation" making the tragedy even worse until Makoto Naegi came to her on the rooftop where she was sat with Izuru Kamukura.
