During the game:
Despair was brought up in a country full of pain and suffering. Despite her ability to heal others she did not use it in a good way. She used her special abilities to make her own power grow. She was a famed ally of princess Pride and they both shared the same attitude towards people. However, the final boss being princess Pride in the game. The game also had a "secret last boss" that was despair. She would torture and manipulate people into doing her bidding and would go as far as to commit worse crimes than Princess Pride committed. However the extent of her crimes was already too late and did not settle even after 2 years of her death. As her name implied she did create despair in the game, and was one of the main facts of such despairs.

"Secret final boss" ability:

With this ability Despair can end a fight and make someone start all over again. However in the game she was not able to do this once her hp got too low. She can only do this if she has enough stamina and fight left.

>Like every boss in every game when she's about to die she does have strength that makes it hard to beat the boss.

This lets her pinpoint a place to aim to injure or kill the opponent when needed.

Why she changed when Princess Pride did:
She never saw anyone being so kind and caring towards someone and she did not know what would be like to have kindness back. So when princess Pride started to be nice to her she started to be nice to others as she found out it felt nice and warm.

Information:
In the game it is revealed that Despair is from a cold and winter like kingdom. Frowning up her parents would always torment and beat her and no one would help her with the abuse. So as she got older she thought this was normal and was cold-hearted herself. When she met princess Pride she learned that even she is a ruthless person and this convinced her that it is normal. So for her punishments she would send her guards outside in the snow and watch them freeze to death for her amusement. She would then continue to treat people as play things for her own amusement and committing unspeakable crimes against everyone. When she became queen she then slaughtered thousands of people by using the bosses of every games ability strength and smiled while doing it. She would send the victims families parts of their body so they would know 100% that they are dead. In the game she even managed to convince Princess Pride in doing some things and after prides death it was later revealed that Despair was also a secret final boss.
