Sparrowstar
Yo this bitch it long, just warning ya
Name: Sparrowstar
Past Names: Sparrowkit, Sparrowpaw, Sparrowstorm
Gender: tom/male
Sexuality: polyamorous pansexual
Age: 189 moons (14 years 11 months)
Age at death: 189 moons (14 years 11 months)
Description: Sparrowstorm is a small, lithe, tightly muscled, dark brown sokoke tabby tom with large, light copper eyes. He has a slightly paler underbelly and face along with a darker tail and paws. His ears are large and his paws are small. His tail is incredibly long and he has a large bite mark on his right shoulder, coupled with smaller scars littered all over his body, and a particularly nasty, thick scar running from his left shoulder blade, across his stomach, and ending on the inside of his right haunch
Personality: Sparrowstorm may be small, but he is FIERCE, do not, under any circumstances, mess with this guy or his family. He is very headstrong and stubborn, and he gets riled up easily, especially over his size. When he's not being aggressive and trying to pick a fight, he can be rather enjoyable to hang out with. He's a surprisingly playful soul, but also no-nonsense in a time of crisis. He's rather intelligent and a quick thinker, easily able to come up with a witty remark to almost anything. While he may seem mysterious, he's actually pretty open about a lot of things, but only if you're close to him. He's strict when he needs to be, but also laid back and chill about stuff. He tends to confuse other cats with his 0-1000 (and vise versa) moments.

Backstory: (Note: these cats have a concept of time)
Sparrowkit was born to Fastflight and Birdfeather of CordilleraClan, along with his siblings, Ploverkit, Heronkit, and Owlkit. He had a mostly normal kithood aside from defending Ploverkit from the occasional apprentice.
When he was made an apprentice he was apprenticed to Cloudysky. His best friend, Rainpaw, was by his side the whole time, and for a long period of time the clan thought they would become mates. And they almost did. But, being apprentices, they decided to just wait and see if it would work out. It didn't and they remained just friends.
At his second gathering, three moons after becoming an apprentice, he met Opalpaw, who told him about how his father was half StygianClan and that was why his [Sparrowpaw's] pelt was so dark. Upon finding this out, Sparrowpaw and Ploverpaw (who had also heard the tale) went to Rosebriar, Fastflight's mother.
It was there that the two brothers learned their roots, and the two decided to run away and join StygianClan. At first, Shadowstar, StygianClan's leader, was hesitant to accept them, but she allowed them to join anyway, noticing the resemblance between Sparrowpaw and Thornstripe (Fastflight's father). Another reason is that StygianClan was in desperate need of new warriors, as a harsh bought of Blackcough had wiped out over half the clan, leaving barely enough warriors to train apprentices.
Sparrowpaw was apprenticed to Dawnclaw, the deputy at the time, so she could keep an eye on him (also the lack of warriors), while Ploverpaw was apprenticed to Hollystorm. As it turned out, StygianClan and TorrentClan were in the midst of a war.
It took over a moon, but eventually the brothers learned their way around the Tunnel System, while also developing their sight and sensitivity.
During that time, Opalpaw and Slatepaw, two other apprentices, were in charge of showing them around, but Ploverpaw starting hanging out with Tigerpaw, so Sparrowpaw was left with Opalpaw and Slatepaw.
Finally, after two moons of getting up at dusk, doing drills, sharpening his senses, and staying up well past dawn, along with a new food diet, Sparrowpaw and Ploverpaw were allowed to attend the gathering with their friends.
Fastflight and Birdfeather, along with Owlpaw and Heronpaw, were beyond relieved to see them alive and well. Fastflight was far more accepting of them leaving than the other three, but with much convincing, Birdfeather and Sparrowpaw's other siblings accepted it as well.
During a battle with TorrentClan two moons later, Sparrowpaw and Ploverpaw were told to stay behind, but when no one in the camp remained but the two queens and the medicine cat, Ploverpaw and Sparrowpaw forced their way onto the battlefield. With the extra help, StygianClan was able to drive TorrentClan back, until a truce was called.
Later that night, a feast was held until the early hours. ShadowStar named Slatepaw and Tigerpaw Slatefrost and Tigerleap respectively.
Another moon passed and Ploverpaw and Sparrowpaw had finally been completely accepted into the clan. No kit knew that they had once been CordilleraClan.
After another battle with TorrentClan, Sparrowpaw proudly wore the long scar across his stomach. He didn't quite remember how he'd gotten it, but Opalpaw explained that he'd gone into a fighting frenzy and had been the first to attack.
After healing up, Ploverpaw was named Ploverleg for his long legs and Sparrowpaw was named Sparrowstorm for his 'storm' of attacks.
Two weeks after being named warriors, Opalpaw and her sister, Smokepaw, were named Opalsight and Smokebreeze respectively.
Once she became a warrior, Opalsight, Slatefrost, and Sparrowstorm were able to hang out together more often.
In a fight was a fox, Sparrowstorm got part of his shoulder ripped off, and he was unable to walk properly for over a moon. Even after nearly two seasons, he still limped if he worked his shoulder too hard.
After being a warrior for almost a year, Jadekit was named Jadepaw and apprenticed to Sparrowstorm. Jadepaw's sisters, Blossompaw and Morningpaw were apprenticed to Tigerleap and Slatefrost respectively.
Life was normal after that, until Sparrowstorm began to feel conflicted. Ploverleg and Tigerleap had become a couple, two toms or two she-cats in a relationship weren't unheard of, just uncommon. But two toms and a she-cat in the same relationship? Two of the same gender were accepted, but three cats of different genders? Never.
But, Sparrowstorm was rather shameless, and so, when he got Slatefrost and Opalsight alone, he proposed his idea.
Surprisingly enough, they both agreed, and were rather nonchalant about it.
After coming out to the clan, they found that everyone just sort of accepted it. The other clans were a bit confused at first, but the majority of them were pretty laid back about it.
Once their first litter of kits, Shadekit, Darkkit, and Ebonykit, were born, Sparrowstorm began working toward becoming deputy.
It was no secret that old Shadowstar was on her last life, and with leafbare coming soon, most cats didn't expect her to make it. Shadowstar herself didn't expect to make it.
Dawnclaw had been keeping a close eye on everyone in the clan, thinking about who her deputy would be. While she wasn't happy with the thought of Shadowstar dying, she had accepted it.
Sparrowstorm did little things at first, playing with kits, keeping apprentices busy, socializing with his clan and getting to know them better, then he began doing other things, like offering to take patrols, keeping watch at night, and just helping Dawnclaw out in general.
When leafbare finally arrived, Jadepaw, Blossompaw, and Morningpaw were named Jadesong, Blossompetal, and Morningshine respectively. In the middle of leafbare, Shadowstar died of whitecough, her old body unable to handle the cold. Dawnclaw, unsurprisingly, appointed Sparrowstorm her deputy before leaving with Barkwing, the med. cat, to the Stone of Warriors, where she would receive her nine lives.
The morning after Dawnclaw had left, Sparrowstorm sent a few cats on dawn and hunting patrols before preparing to tuck in and sleep the morning away.
Around sunhigh that day, Sparrowstorm awoke again and surveyed the clan from the Meeting Tree, a tree that had miraculously grown underground with minimal light from a small opening in the roof of the camp's cavern. The light shined onto a spot in the center of the tree where a thick branch protruded. That's where Dawnclaw, now Dawnstar, would call meetings. She would also be living in the higher up branches, where a flat area large enough to fit five cats lay.
Sparrowstorm's new den would be in the large roots of the tree, where a hollow had been formed, large enough to fit three cats. Slatefrost, Opalsight, and Sparrowstorm had spent the better part of the day discussing sleeping arrangements and moss placement. It hadn't taken long, and soon they had their very own, new nest.
Once Dawnstar returned, she called a clan meeting and made Shadekit, Darkkit, and Ebonykit apprentices. Before retreating to her new den to set it up and rest before they feasted during the night in celebration.
The next several seasons were pretty normal, and Slatefrost, Opalsight, and Sparrowstorm's second litter of kits, Jaykit, Nightkit, and Dawnkit, were born. And Sparrowstorm received Maplepaw as his second apprentice.
After a few years, Dawnstar lost her last life due to her wounds after a particularly nasty battle with CoppiceClan. Sparrowstorm named Ploverleg his deputy in case he didn't survive the night, but in the morning he was ready to head to the Stone of Warriors and receive his nine lives.
Sparrowstorm earned his lives from Thornstripe, Shadowstar, Dawnstar, Rainblossom, Ambertalon (Dark Forest), and Fastflight.
Once he returned to the clan, injury free and feeling stronger than ever, Sparrowstar made Flinchpaw and Fidgetpaw into warriors, naming them Flinchstep and Fidgethawk respectively.
His first life was lost to greencough, the second in a fight with a fox. He lost his third drowning after falling through the ice in a stream. Then Ploverleg retired and Sparrowstar made Flinchstep his deputy. He lost his fourth life in a battle with TorrentClan and his fifth from wounds after said battle. His sixth was lost in a fire. The seventh after falling from a tree trying to save an apprentice from an owl that had snatched them (the apprentice survived). His seventh was taken by a badger that killed Flinchstep and Sparrowstar named Hazelspeck his deputy. He lost his eighth life when Flamepaw of CoppiceClan knocked him off a cliff, and his ninth was taken by old age. After he died, Hazelspeck announced that she was going to retire, and named Jayfang leader before walking off to the elders den.
At his ceremony, Sparrowstar gave Jaystar his ninth life, the life of fire, meaning he shouldn't let his emotions take over him. Don't let the fire die, keep it alive, but don't let it get out of paw, or the whole forest will burn to the ground.
Sparrowstar happily reunited with Opalsight and Slatefrost, along with his parents and brothers. He and Rainblossom also hung out a bit too.
Cause of Death: by this I think you mean final death, the one that sends him to SpiritClan (or the Warriors of the Stars) in which case he lost his final life after he finally hit 189 moons (his lives were spaced pretty far apart). Both Opalsight and Slatefrost had died well before he did.
Other: Dawnheart was named after Dawnstar, and Darkfrost's eye/pelt color combination is genetically possible because of his mother's Heterochromia and his Siamese blood
Clans:
StygianClan: live in a network of tunnels beneath their territory. Their territory above ground is mostly dense trees, making for a very shadowy area. They have excellent eyesight in the dark and are mostly night hunters. Their dens are made up of boulders and nooks in the walls. They are the smallest of all the clans both population and size-wize, built for stalking through the shadows. They have mostly dark brown or black colored pelts and brightly/multi-colored eyes. They have predominantly short and thin fur and eat birds and lizards for the most part
CordilleraClan: live at the base of a mountain range, their territory is mostly plains consisting of few trees and very pretty flowers. They are fast runners and also some of the most prideful clan-cats. They don't really have dens besides the elders den, the medicine den, and the nursery, but when it's raining or snowing, they sleep near the edge of camp where they get shelter. They are tall in height but small muscle-wise, built for speed rather than strength. Their pelts have the widest variety of color but lean mostly towards the light side along with primarily blue or green eyes. They have generally thin but long fur and eat mostly rabbits and birds
TorrentClan: live near the river that cuts through their territory and follows into CoppiceClan's territory. They have lots of marshes and can swim very well, they are the most laid back of the clans. Their dens are made up of reeds and tree roots. They have powerful legs and plump forms, and they are rather short but large in muscle size. Pelts are usually silver, gray, blue-gray, and sometimes white with either blue, green, or gray/silver eyes (only one cat has amber eyes and that's seen as odd). Their fur is typically long, thick, and glossy, and they eat fish and land-dwelling animals, they hate trees and anything with feathers
CoppiceClan: live in a forest next to StygianClan, it's thinner and they get a lot more sunlight. They have excellent tree-climbing skills and are adequate hunters, and they are also VERY strict when it comes to the warrior code. Their dens are mostly brambles and thickets. They have very well muscled haunches built for jumping and large forepaws built for gripping. Their pelts are mostly brown, golden, and the occasional ginger, but they also have a large variety. Eye colors are mostly amber, green, and brown. Fur for them is normally short and thick and their main prey is land-dwelling animals and the occasional bird (they aren't really speedy).
Books: none currently but a few of my friends and I are in the midst of planning a series called Flying Through the Storm
