History:
(Ravenkit was named after her aunt, Ravensong)
When Ravenkit was born, RavineClan was having one of the harshest leaf-bares of all time. Only one of her two siblings survived.
She was apprenticed to Duskdawn at six moons old. When she was nine moons, RavineClan went into battle with ShadeClan, where she got the scar on her cheek from an apprentice named Lilypaw. Jaypaw, her brother, teased her about it for a while, calling her a Ferretbrain for letting her guard down.
After she became a warrior, Silverhawk, a fellow warrior, caught her attention. Silverhawk, along with her sister, Brookstripe, were the clan princesses, their father being Fidgetstar, and Silverhawk was wanted by every tom in the clan.
Ravenflight figured that Silverhawk wouldn't look in her direction once, but she was proved wrong when Silverhawk started hanging out with her. A moon after, Ravenflight received Breezepaw as her first apprentice.
A few moons later, Ravenflight accidentally confessed her unknown feelings. Embarrassed, she ran away and came across some twolegs. The twolegs saw her and picked up a stick, lit it on fire, and threw it at her. Ravenflight ran but the forest caught fire behind her. She sprinted into camp yowling "FIRE!" causing the whole camp to go into panic. Fidgetstar called for order and lead them calmly out of camp. The fire was spreading fast so they quickly made their way over to TideClan territory.
Once everyone was safely across, Fidgetstar asked where Silverhawk was. Ravenflight explained that they had been near High Pine. Horrified that Silverhawk was still in the territory, Fidgetstar sent Ravenflight, Jayfang, and Caverncrash back inside to find her. The three ran to High Pine but Silverhawk wasn't there. The three spread out through the flames to search for her.
Ravenflight found her unconscious near the Tall Rock. Ravenflight managed to get Silverhawk back to the border before she ran back in to find Jayfang and Caverncrash. It took a while but Ravenflight managed to find both of them and regroup before they started heading back. On the way, a flaming branch fell from a tree and caught Ravenflight's flank, causing her to be unable to walk. All the smoke in the air coupled with the pain and blood loss caused her to fall unconscious. She woke up in StarClan and the first face she saw was Barktail.
Barktail explained that he had died after becoming a elder, and he was Ravenflight's grandfather on Quailpelt's side. Barktail told Ravenflight that it was time to go to StarClan, but Ravenflight refused. She had to see Silverhawk. Barktail said that there was no way to return, but Ravenflight didn't listen. Instead she demanded to be sent back home, which caused Grudgestar, the first leader of RavineClan, to appear.
Ravenflight made a bargain with him. She told him that if she were to beat him in a fight, she'd be sent home. Grudgestar accepted her challenge and the fight commenced. The two fought dangerously, an unceasing dance that had Barktail watching in horror. Eventually, after what felt like forever, Ravenflight was defeated.
She was devastated at the loss, now knowing that she wouldn't be able to talk to Silverhawk until the other she-cat died. Ravenflight was about to accept her defeat when Grudgestar told her he'd send her back. Ravenflight gaped at him and asked why. Grudgestar answered by saying that he sees the love in her eyes and doesn't want to keep that from her. Ravenflight thanked him graciously before suddenly gasping awake by the shore. Her flank hurt like no tomorrow and she was having difficulty breathing. The clan stood aghast at her, everyone believing she was dead, until Silverhawk, now conscious, came rushing towards her and tackling her. She shouted "I love you too!" out loud, not caring that the whole clan was there. Ravenflight was incredibly happy, until she remembered the fire. She looked over at the forest to find it still set ablaze.
"Two she-cats in love!? This is outrageous!" yelled a cat from the clan. Everyone had turned to see Cloudthorn, the medicine cat, glaring at them with pure rage. Just then, thunderclouds rolled in and rain started pouring. "StarClan sent rain! They approve!" said a giddy Fawnspot, Cloudthorn's apprentice. Just then, TideClan warriors arrived.
Fidgetstar, seemingly unfazed by the two she-cats, asked the patrol to bring Zinniastar, the TideClan leader. The lead warrior, Snowfeather, nodded and ordered the rest of the patrol to stay behind. After Snowfeather'd run off, Cloudthorn sent another glare at the two she-cats before heading off to patch up the other warriors. Fawnspot immediately headed over to Silverhawk and Ravenflight, followed by an apprentice named Lochpaw, who was confused about his sexuality (he turns out to be gay later on).
After a little while Snowfeather returned with Zinniastar. Fidgetstar explained the situation, and RavineClan were allowed to stay in the TideClan forest, separated from RavineClan's by the river. The fire in RavineClan raged on for nearly a half moon, and the clouds of thunder changed to smoke.
At a gathering during the fire, Fidgetstar only took himself. Sizzlepelt (the deputy), Cloudthorn, Fawnspot, Ravenflight (who was able to limp, only needing help occasionally), Silverhawk, and Breezepaw. After pleading with the other clans for help, TideClan territory unable to support both clans, the fire was decreed The Fire of Lost Hope, as all hope for RavineClan territory seemed lost. It was decided that of the fire did not break by the next half moon, the clans would have a Half Moon Meeting, where RavineClan's fate would be decided.
Thankfully, the fire stopped just before the quarter moon, and RavineClan returned to their home. The land was devastated, and with leafbare approaching fast, most of the clan weren't too hopeful on survival. The leafbare was cold and harsh. The only reason even half the clan survived is because TideClan cats allowed them to hunt on their land.
When newleaf arrived, half the clan were dead and Fidgetstar had lost a life. Ravenflight miraculously survived despite her injury, and Breezepaw received his warrior name, Breezefall, as he was appretniced in the fall. His siblings became Ivyblossom, as newleaf brought a blossom of hope, and Brindleberry, after Berryclaw, her mentor, who died hunting for the clan.
Silverhawk offhandedly (offpawededly?) mentioned kits at one point, but with the both of them being she-cats, it seemed impossible without asking someone else to father the kits. Later that night, after both she-cats had fallen asleep, they both woke up in an empty clearing. Ravenflight recognized the clearing from when she was in StarClan. Ravenflight stood, seeing Grudgestar appear from the trees.
Grudgestar explained that he was there to give them the blessing of kits. Ravenflight and Silverhawk were both surprised by this, and they seemed too bewildered to speak for a while, but then they both seemed to snap out of it. Silverhawk asked Grudgestar how it would work, but Grudgestar told them it was a StarClan secret. He asked them to decide which of the two of them would be carrying the kits. After discussing it for a little while, they both decided that Silverhawk would carry them, since Ravenflight was pretty sure Fidgetstar would be giving her another apprentice soon. Grudgestar nodded and told them to sleep.
When they woke up again, they were back in the warriors den. Silverhawk said she felt normal. A few days later, Ravenflight received Birchpaw as her second apprentice. Silverhawk got Birchpaw's sister, Briarpaw. A moon passed and Birchpaw's training was going extraordinarily fast. Silverhawk admitted to having an odd feeling in her stomach one evening when they were sharing tongues after a meal. Ravenflight asked if it was the kits and Silverhawk said she'd go to Fawnspot, who had become the medicine cat after Cloudthorn died during the leafbare. Fawnspot told the two that Silverhawk was indeed pregnant, and the two were overjoyed.
While Silverhawk was in the nursery, Ravenflight took over as Briarpaw's mentor. Both apprentices were excelling at their training, already doing higher-level battle moves despite only being apprentices for a little over a moon. A moon later, the kits came. The process was smooth and they had four kits, Starlingkit, Nightkit, Hawkkit, and Moonkit. Shortly after their birth, Breezefall asked who their father was.
Silverhawk hadn't thought that far ahead, but Ravenflight told them that the real father would rather remain inconspicuous. There were rumors about who it might have been, but none of them seemed very possible. Breezefall was delighted to meet the kits, and he asked them if he would be allowed to mentor one. Ravenflight laughed and said she would speak with Fidgetstar about it.
The moons went on as usual, Birchpaw and Briarpaw became warriors a moon early because of their astonishing skills that seemed to come so naturally to them, their names were Birchstripe and Briarfrost.
With the kits' apprentice ceremony only a few days away, Breezefall once again approached Ravenflight about becoming on of the kits' mentor. Ravenflight asked which one he'd like and Breezefall said he'd taken a liking to Moonkit. Ravenflight spoke to Fidgetstar and a week later, Moonpaw was apprenticed to Breezefall, Starlingpaw to Ivyblossom, Hawkpaw to Lochstripe (same cat as Lochpaw), and Nightpaw was apprenticed to Brindleberry.
About a moon later, some cats from the clans were beginning to act anxious. More started acting funny until it was revealed that there was a rebellion forming. Cats from all the clans had begun to wish for free land, where all cats could do as they please and there were no borders. The clans all knew this was a problem, but it wasn't until Lilybreeze (same cat as Lilypaw) attacked Ravenflight at a gathering that the real severity of the situation was revealed.
Lilybreeze and several other cats from the gathering raced out of the clearing. Ravenflight, Breezefall, Nightpaw, and a few other warriors from other clans chased after them, but their scent trail was lost after they waded through a shallow part of the river.
Three days after the gathering, Maplekit and her sister, Frostkit, were apprenticed a moon early, Frostkit to Ravenflight and Maplekit to Sprucetail. After the ceremony, Fidgetstar apologized to Ravenflight for giving her another apprentice so soon after her last one became a warrior, but she was among the best fighters in the Clan, and Fidgetstar had the feeling they would be needing those skills soon. Ravenflight didn't mind to much. Sprucetail, younger than Ravenflight by two moons, and Maplepaw got along fine, but Maplepaw was always slow at her work. Taking her time and procrastinating as much as possible. Frostpaw just flat out didn't listen unless they were doing something she liked. A moon later, Ravenflight was about to take Frostpaw out training when she noticed that the apprentice was gone.
They searched for her but found out Frostpaw had left to join the Rebellion. A few weeks later, Sprucetail, Maplepaw, and Ravenflight were hunting when Frostpaw appeared. Ravenflight tried to reason with her old apprentice, but when Lilybreeze appeared, Ravenflight saw red. She attacked Lilybreeze without mercy. Frostpaw lunged at Ravenflight. Sprucetail yelled at Maplepaw to go back to camp and get reinforcements before knocking Frostpaw away. After StarClan-knows-how-long, Lilybreeze and Frostpaw took off back into the forest in retreat.
Ravenflight turned to Sprucetail, grinning triumphantly, but when Sprucetail collapsed, Ravenflight became very worried. She tried to keep him awake, but he eventually died of blood loss.
Ravenflight, unable to hold her grief over the loss of one of her best friends (they'd grown close during Maplepaw and Frostpaw's apprenticeship), she attacked everything in sight, shredding bushes and tearing bark from trees. It wasn't until she'd tackled Silverhawk by accident that she realized what had happened. The clearing was destroyed, Sprucetail's body lay lifeless on the ground, and Ravenflight was tired, oh so tired. She passed out, waking up later in Fawnspot's den.
After being released a few days later, she took over Maplepaw's training. Maplepaw began to take her work seriously. She was angry that Frostpaw had left, and vowed that she would never do the same. Ravenflight was shocked at how driven the she-cat was, and they became friends quickly. Ravenflight was impressed by the she-cat's skill. She was no where near as skilled as Birchstripe or Briarfrost, but it was admirable nonetheless.
Maplepaw's training went along quickly, before Ravenflight knew it, she had been named Maplestreak.
Finally relieved of having an apprentice, Ravenflight focused more on her own kits. She went training with them, helping them with techniques. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with Breezefall, the younger tom like a little brother to the she-cat.
One night, a couple of seasons later, while Silverhawk and Ravenflight were on a midnight hunt, the two met a frantic loner. The loner introduced herself quickly as Flare and set down a tiny ginger and white kit. She explained that she had received the kitten from another she-cat who had no time to care for him. Unable to care for the kitten herself, Flare decided to give him to the clans. She told them his name was Sunkit, but they were welcome to change it.
They did not.
Sunkit was only two or three days old when they received him, and Ravenflight noticed that he looked surprisingly familiar, though she could not place why.
It wasn't until he was three moons old that she realized he looked almost exactly like Lilybreeze.
It was an easy thing to overlook with just pelt color, and even then his ginger was darker than hers and his eyes amber, but as he grew, Ravenflight began to notice the way his build looked like Lilybreeze's.
She went to Fidgetstar immediately, requesting to be Sunkit's mentor.
