She has thick and somewhat shaggy baby pink curls that reaches a little above the middle of her back and steel gray orbs with small flecks of green and thick long eyelashes, faint freckles littering her cheeks and the bridge of her nose along with a dimple in her left cheek. She typically doesn't change up her hairstyle that much since it can be a bit of a hassle to deal with, typically wearing it down in a somehow messy yet attractive manner with a few curls falling into her face or she braids it halfway with the rest in a puff. She has natural eye bags that aren't that noticeable unless you look for them or she hasn't slept in a while and has three piercings in her left ear: an industrial, a standard lobe and an upper lobe one while he has just a standard one in her right ear. Reina has a button shaped nose and a septum piercing along with a nose ring, being quite fond of piercings.

She has a beauty mark on her right thigh, it being a slightly lighter patch of skin along with a faint big scar across her right knee from a sports injury when she was younger. Reina also had a birth mark on the left side of her collarbone. It isn't uncommon to see her wearing makeup, mostly eyeliner since she just enjoys doing it or her wearing a bandaid across the bridge of her nose to match with her little brother.

Personality// If you are ever to come across Reina, be prepared for the unexpected. While this female is quite independent and strong willed, her mood typically depends on a numerous amount of factors: who she's around, what she's doing and if she has eaten that day. When typically meeting this female, she is often predetermined as intimidating based on her looks and her aura, in which they're not completely wrong. Reina had been told on multiple occasions how her looks can make people not feel comfortable or restrain from approaching her though she believes that if someone solely judges her based on her looks then surely they didn't deserve to be in her company anyways. She knows that sometimes she can come off as unapproachable but if you do approach her she promises that you won't be disappointed, or at least she hopes so. She's a people pleaser, loving to see her family, friends and others prospering and happy and tends to make a lot of decisions based on the happiness of others. That's really how she got into the debate team and volleyball, her parents wanting her to get into something less violent than hockey and it just stuck with her though they let her keep playing it. However, she hates being compared to others. Her parents used to do it a lot when she was younger and still tend to do it sometimes though they're definitely improving. She's her own person so don't compare her to anyone else. She gets really defensive about it.

"It is seven in the morning. I know for a fact that those heroes in books at least have a cup of coffee before they take on the world," Reina complained, a cup of coffee in her hand as she glared as the two seconds years standing at her front door.

Reina is a pretty relaxed and laid back person to be around when she's not in the zone, even though with her there will rarely be a boring moment with her and despite her not being one with a super high social meter. She wishes to live life to the fullest and honestly sees no point in trying to stress yourself out and make yourself miserable all because of what other people expect of you (shes a hypocrite when it comes to this).  However, when she's in the zone it's like a switch flips inside of her and she can be quite competitive and pretty serious, especially when it comes to sports and other things that she's really serious about. She hates to lose and is quite passionate and vocal about her beliefs, not being the type to really step down from something and tends to forget where to draw the lines, sometimes crossing them without even realizing it. When she's in the zone it's best not to do anything that would really irritate her since when she's like this it's basically her most aggressive state and often how she lets out her frustrations. Trust me, you don't want to be in her way when she has a hockey stick in her hand or is getting ready to spike. She's her biggest critic when it comes to herself and tends to do things impulsively instead of thinking g it through in fear of becoming drowned in her own self deprecating thoughts. She does do small, barely noticeable things to keep herself in check or remind herself that she shouldn't be doing or thinking something like pinching her arm and lightly tugging on the ends of her curls.

"Noya-senpai! Can I talk to—is it normal for him to faint like that?" Reina asked as she points towards the shorter male who was currently passed out with a bloody nose on the ground.

But despite all of that, when Reina is a good mood this female is quite pleasant to be around. While yes, she can be a bit sarcastic at times when she's not in the best of spirits and is quite straightforward, she is a good person and just wants to have firm and honest relationships with people. If you are one of the few people that she has grown to like, she is the definition of a protective friend. She will stand up for you to anyone who tries messing with you and will not back down until A, that person gives in or she makes them give in. She doesn't take people messing with those close to her very lightly. She has the loyalty of a lion so know that if you have her in your life as a friend, family member or even significant other than you basically have a personal bodyguard at your disposal. She isn't very much of a social person and while she is pretty friendly to everyone she comes across, she is pretty selective of who she has in her close friend group. She knows very well that not everyone can be trusted and makes sure to be pretty aware of that, being quite observant as she's selecting her friends and hanging around people. If she feels a weird vibe from you and thinks that you wouldn't be a good fit as her friend then she won't really put much of an effort to try and become friends with you. She hates to waste time and energy though that may change depending on a few circumstances. She has also been described to be quite the smartäss by multiple people because of her bluntness paired with her sarcasm, which she doesn't deny at all. She doesn't care who you are or what position of power you hold, she will say it as it is and tell you how she feels, being a firm believer that respect is earned and not just given.

Don't get her wrong though. If she considers you as a really good friend of hers then you can expect all hëll to break loose with her. There will rarely be a dull moment with her and she sometimes can be a bit childish and quite playful. But one thing to know about her is that she loves to sleep. It isn't uncommon to see this girl sleeping about anywhere. Literally anywhere. If she's tired and she finds a place to sleep, I can bet you that she'll be out like a light in less than five minutes and she's a heavy sleeper so good luck on getting her up unless you're carrying her. She has fallen asleep outside in the grass during a study date with a friend before and he had to carry her all the way home because she wasn't getting up.

Backstory// Reina was born in Japan to her mother Hirata and her father Immanuel, the newlyweds having gotten pregnant on their honeymoon and given birth to her on November 17th. However due to her father's job as a real estate agent they constantly moved around Japan from city to city until they stopped and finally settled down permanently in a home not too far away from Karasuno High School. Reina was a relatively chill child when she was younger, not being too much of a talker though she didn't really need words since her facial expressions were worth a thousand words each. It was like she could hold an entire conversation with you just through the way she looked and interacted with you and other things. It was only towards the end of her elementary school years when she started getting into clubs and such, having been initially signed up for figure skating by her parents. She didn't like it very much but did it until the end of her first year of middle school when her own skate coach had decided to test something. She realized that Reina was quite quick on skates and while she wasn't that graceful, she surely was a bit more competitive than most of her fellow skaters and so she introduced her to hockey and she immediately fell in love with it. Her parents were a bit skeptical about it but allowed her to stay in the sport.

It was until the middle of middle school that she was introduced to volleyball, having went to the same middle school as Kentaro Kyotani, having grown quite close to the male in her time of being there despite being older than him. He had introduced her to it, being pulled in by both just the feeling of awe of watching all the different players with different skills work together as a cohesive unit in order to score. It was pretty inspiring and her parents approved of it, even getting her a coach and putting her in multiple camps and such to help her improve. Next thing she knew was that she was getting recruited by Karasuno high school for their hockey team and that's where she's attending high school.

"Kyo! Come on, practice a bit with me," Reina said as she tossed a ball in her hand. "Worry about your meat bun later! I'll buy you some more!"

1. Tsukishima Kei: Because of their little friendly rivalry they spend a bit of time together which consists of him teasing her and her retaliating to his teasing. They grew closer and closer and eventually it just kind of happened and she developed a crush on him. Not that she would admit it anyways, it'd just give him leverage over her.

2. Nishinoya Yuu: Of course when Noya sees a cute girl he always is a little simp for them so the same thing happened when Hinata had asked Reina to sit on a practice with the boys and the two crossed paths. Reina of course was concerned when he started having a nose bleed when she called him senpai since he's older, and was then later impressed by his rolling thunder move and asked for him to teach it to her and thus began their little journey of romance.

3. Yachi Hitoka: They had actually bumped into each other in the hallway when Reina was running late on her way to volleyball practice, knocking Yachi's books out of her hands. After thoroughly apologizing she helped her picked up her things and offered to take her out for coffee to repay her for bumping into her before apologizing again and rushing off to practice, leaving quite the impression on poor little Yachi.

4. Haiba Lev: Reina had been helping out with Karasuno's boys team and they had asked her to come with them when they went to have a practice game against Nekoma and she had been helping by setting to Tanaka a bit for him to practice and Lev had spotted her and commented on her hair and how it was cute which earned a reaction from Tanaka and Noya along with a small blush from the cotton candy haired setter and after the practice game he asked her for her number so they could get to know each other better.

5. Takanobu Aone: Reina had actually met him because she had applied to go to Date Tech and went up there for an entrance exam and to check out their volleyball team and had seen him there. She was amazed by his height and asked him a ton of questions like what his height and position was, what the school was like, etc. She of course had to part from him and they were reunited when she attended a Karasuno boys game and saw him, waving to him.

Reina Headcannons!
•Reina could literally fall asleep anywhere. She once fell asleep on the benches in the gym during morning practice once because she hadn't slept much that night
•She and Kyotani (Maddog) have somewhat of a sibling relationship and he treats her like a little sister and is extremely protective of her while she likes to make him have fun and mess around
•She's the type of friend who does not share her food with you unless she knows that you haven't eaten or you're her significant other
•Reina's favorite music artist is Paramore, her favorite song of theirs being "Ain't it Fun."
