Personality: wild and untamed, but loyal and protective once you earn her trust. A fighter, won't go down easily, but can be jumpy and nervous at times.

Father (deceased - drowned years ago when Rumi was young. His body was found in a river.)

Mother (deceased - injuried by hunters a year ago, mercy killed by Rumi.)

Aunt (sister to Rumi's father, answers to "Rain" or "Moira" - belongs to X_x-Memento_Mori-x_X)

Status: Omega (fled pack.)

Backstory: not all werewolves elect to blend in as humans and live in homes like the Hale's. Some packs live completely wild in the wilderness, rarely interacting with humans.

Rumi came from one of those packs in a state near Beacon Hills. But they too were under threat from hunters, and soon she found herself alone. After wandering for miles and miles she picked up Derek's scent, and watched him and Scott from afar before they eventually cornered her to ask why she was stalking them.

Derek managed to work out that she was wild, despite her lack of English. Being wild meant she never learned to talk. Gestures and touch was the way to get through to her, like trying to comfort a animal.

With nowhere else to go, like Erica, Boyd and Issac some time after, Derek looked after Rumi as part of his pack.

Other: Rumi never got along with Erica, as they were the two females of the pack. They clashed often..

She trusts Derek completely and more than anyone. She's fiercely loyal to him and would die to protect him.

Before going to Beacon Hills Rumi didn't have a name. Stiles went scrolling through hundreds of unique girls names on the internet before randomly naming her "Rumi". That also happened to be her first word she spoke. So the name stuck.

Rumi is also sensitive to noise. Anything loud like blasting music and sirens spook and scare her, making her think she's in danger and she needs to lash out. If she were to run off she'd hide in the quietest place she could find.

A few years ago Rumi's pack was ambushed by hunters and her mother fatally injured. Rumi killed her in mercy, hence her werewolf eyes are now the cold steel blue.

Rumi also claims to have seen her mother's ghost around the Hale house, although the others aren't sure if she imagined it or there was really something there...

She has a scar on her left shoulder blade, inflicted by her previous pack's alpha in a way that would never heal as punishment for mercy killing her mother.

Because of this "bad alpha's" actions and torture towards her she is terrified of any and all alphas.

(Some time after coming to Beacon Hills and learning to be more human than feral, she gets a tattoo of a blue rose (blue like her eyes) to cover the nasty scar on her left shoulder blade:

The tattoo also earns her the nickname "Rumi Rose". And to Derek, she's his beautiful rose. (well in my and @homoxsapien 's rp anyway XD).
