Backstory: Eddie Ross was born in America in 1951 as a perfectly ordinary young boy, no powers or abilities of any kind.

It was only when tragedy struck that his potential was unlocked.

In 1964 when Eddie was 13 he and his parents were on a cruise, but the ship was caught in a violent storm and the ship went down, Eddie and his parents all drowning.

As his lifeless body floated off into the water, something changed inside him. His Mutant genes were unlocked.

Next thing Eddie knew he was alive. Washed up on the shores of England, and with a new life and power.

He was transported back to America and placed with Foster parents, but Eddie hated it. He wanted his real parents back. He would go off the rails, drinking, smoking and fighting. But one night he got into a big fight with his Foster parents, so bad he lashed out and discovered he now had Hydrokenisis - the ability to control water.

Next thing he knew, his Foster parents lay drowned at his feet. And Eddie discovered his abilities connected to water.

Quickly found guilty of his crimes, he was transported to the facility Cerci would one day be held, locked away in a steel room alone with his thoughts and restrained in a straight jacket.

There they also hurt the mutants. Tortured them.

Decades pass, and it is also discovered that his power also means he ages very slowly. He was over 70 now but he still looked to be in his 20s. It was put down to when he came back to life.

More decades pass, and Eddie soon hears whispers of a powerful Mutant - a Queen, locked away and hurt. This angers him. The more he hears about her from the guards whispers the more interested in her he becomes.

And one day he decides that enough is enough. He decided he would escape this prison. He would find this Queen, and he would free and protect her. This would be his purpose.
