Backstory: She was already a shapeshifter, but she was bitten by a radioactive wolf spider. It's been about 5 years since then. She's been protecting her NYC ever since. Her sister, Charlotte, died in a mugging gone wrong. During a fight with Scorpion, she got sucked through a portal, landing roughly in Peter's dimension--right on top of him in the middle of his patrol. Let's just say it was love at first sight. They've been together ever since and Peter made her a necklace so she can stay with him. She had to go back and forth until it was finished, but they didn't mind. They love each other.
