Back story: Andy Joined the US Marines just a year before the US joined the great War and he made his way to the rank of staff sergeant when he and many other Marines were shipped off to Europe. Andy Comes from a long line of military family most notably his great grandfather who fought in the civil war for the Union. He really didn't know what he was getting into until he and many other Marines reached Europe to help the British and French fight against the Germans and that is where he saw just how cruel war could be.
