Name: Diego, (Emilia's brother, Liam's son.) after she abandoned him at the burrow

Personality: friendly, optimistic, confident, intelligent and resourceful. Though he has cold and dark personality but he has a kind heart. He had trust issues with Mutes but after he spend time in his journey with Kipo, he began to slowly grow to understand them.

Looks: with light turquoise skin, Blue-gray hair, and yellow acidic eyes.

Clothes: Wears a cowboy hat and a brown poncho cloak. Underneath, he's wearing lightweight armor and wears a hip length black coat with a small brown patch on the right side above his chest along with a long sleeved black shirt underneath. He also wears brown pants, a leather belt bag with a silver buckle, and black shin-high boots.

Mega Mute Form - He does have a form but he was too afraid to transform. After when he saw Emilia in her Mega mute form, attacking Kipo which gave him the courage to transform into a Mega Mute that look like a form of a Lion with horns along with wings. In this form he had immense physical strength and his 'Anchor' was to protect the ones he love, including Kipo .

Name: Neko, a mini-doctor. Was found by cats tribe who raised him as one of them until Diego met him and decided to accompany him on the journey.

Age: 12

Personality: friendly, creative intelligent and resourceful. He's good with medicine and makes good inventions. He's expert in animal features. Plus, he knows how to fight with a help from Diego.

Looks: with peach skin, black short messy hair, ebony eyes. He carries a brown backpack that carries lots of things inside.

Clothes: Wears a gray cat-hoodie shirt, black ripped shorts and rubber shoes.

Background:

Early life

Due to Emilia's obsession, she neglected Diego's existence after his father, Liam (her brother) believed to be killed by a mutes (even he didn't know that she killed him) when he was only 5-year old. Which made Diego feel lonely and distant, except Song since he sees her as a mother figure. He also knew about Hugo but decided to keep a secret. After Emilia sought to confront the couple about Song's pregnancy, having found out that they infused Kipo's DNA with that of a mute jaguar's. At Song's insistence, Lio was able to escape with Kipo while Song distracted Emilia. Emilia refused to allow Kipo to exist and during their confrontation, Song fell over a ledge and her mute genes, which she had acquired from her pregnancy, activated in response to her fear. Song ended up transforming into a six-armed, giant mega monkey and caused the destruction of the burrow.

Emilia and the others managed to escape, leaving Diego behind, feeling distraught that the fact he was abandoned as his feelings turned to hatred towards her. When he saw the serum, mixed with different samples as he decided to inject himself which gave him abilities but with a side-effects, causing his appearance to altered.

Season 2

Years passed, he became a teenager as he was able to learn how to adapt and survive. When he first met Neko, he was raised by cat tribes who considered a family after his grandparents passed away. Diego saved him after being chased by Deathstalkers, Neko was amazed by Diego's abilities that he wished to accompany him in search of other humans. Though, Diego still has trust issues with Mutes, even though Neko was being polite to them.

Everything changed when he met Kipo and her gang, he was shocked to see another half mute. Kipo offered Diego to go on journey to save the other humans who were kidnapped by Scarlemagne. He began to develop feelings for her the moment he kept saving her and she has his back but didn't have the courage to say it.

When he found Emilia, he seems furious to see her after abandoning in the lab. She lied into believing she couldn't find him back then. At first he believed, that doesn't mean he trust her aunt. Later on, He found out about Emilia's plan is to use Kipo to defeat the mutants and and then to eventually kill Kipo.

They find out that Emilia is not on their side, and they make moves to undermine her. They blow up a nectar bomb to trap Emilia's followers in a tunnel so that they cannot go to Scarlemagne's coronation to hurt the mutants with their sonic transmitter (as animals hate the screeching sounds). Emilia doesn't get trapped in the tunnel and fights Dave, Benson, Neku, Diego and Mandu. They manage to get away to go to Scarlemagne's coronation.

After Kipo and Diego helps the humans under Scarlemagne's control get away, they go to a tunnel to hide where Emilia is waiting. There, she convinces them to follow her and to help her revert all of the mutes back. She gets their support. Kipo and Diego hears this and knows they had to rise up and fight Dr. Emilia.

Season 3

Kipo and Diego were on a mission to find Dr. Emilia and the other humans who are hiding with her. She and the mutes search for months, to no avail, until finally they realize she is on a cruise ship and has been moving this entire time. Kipo is desperately trying to band all of the humans and mutes together to form an alliance - HMUFA (Human Mute Ultimate Friendship Alliance). She has to convince the mutes to bond and work together, despite their differences, which takes some work. There is a lot of distrust in the mute community, and Emilia makes things worst by starting to kidnap mutes.

After Emilia makes the cure, Kipo is set on destroying it and bringing Emilia to justice. The other humans believe everything Emilia says, which makes things difficult, so they help Emilia attack the mutes. After Kipo manages to transform her mom into a human again, Song and Lio help Kipo figure out how to make peace. Scarlamagne had a conversation with Diego, hinting he had a crush on Kipo, he couldn't hide it as Scarlamagne didn't mind having a brother-in-law as long as Diego promises to protect her which he agreed and decided to call him 'Hugo' secretly which formed a friendship.

While Kipo tries to appeal to everyone and create the "Prahm", a dance to unite mutes and humans, Diego se out on a journey to learn the truth of what happened to his father since he knew the mutes weren't responsible until he met Tad Mulholland that Kipo befriended. When   Mulholland showed him the truth in his dream, he became angry that he learned it was Emilia who killed his father. He knew that he would never forgive Emilia when Neku told him about Emilia's plan.

Later, She invites everyone, even Emilia, but Emilia decides to ruin the prom by raining the dance in the cure. However, it was backfired because it was switched with just ordinary water that Neku created a serum that can convert the cure into just water. When Diego expose the truth about Emilia who murdered his father, She became furious as she injected herself which turns herself into a giant mute monster.

Hoag and Neku leads some of the group to help Kipo out. Wolf and Kipo make a play to grab the cure from Greta and turn Emilia back into a human. Other mutes and humans attack Emilia to help Kipo. Scaralmagne encourage Diego to help her which he was still afraid of transforming when Scarlamagne convince him whether he would stand idly by and watch his girlfriend get killed.

Diego still couldn't do it when he witness Scarlamagne sacrificed his life to save Kipo after Emilia was going to finish her. He knew he couldn't stand it which triggered his transformation into a Mega Mute and save Kipo after realizing his anchor was saving the one he love.

 Unfortunately, that was the final hit that made Emilia lose control her Mute form because she never had and an "Anchor" like Kipo and Diego as she retreated to the ruins of her old burrow. Kipo's friends were tempted to just let her remain a mindless creature, but Kipo said "She deserves to be punished but not like this" and give her the cure Wolf got from Greta. 

Once she's reverted back to her normal self Kipo once again offered Emilia to join her, but she tried backstab Kipo only for Diego to come grab on Emilia's arm in anger as he was tempted to kill her like he did with his father but Kipo convince him that killing her won't bring his father.

Emilia tired to beg Diego into letting her go which he obliged, causing her to fall into the old burrow where Diego told "Fun Gus" to make sure to keep her company as Emilia was forever became the "BFF" for and Kipo and her friends decide that would be a fitting punishment for her.

Hugo who is succumbed to his injuries looks at Kipo, Lio and Song for the last time saying that he is glad that they are a family again. He turned to Diego and ask him to take good care of Kipo before calling him 'Brother-in-law.' The Oaks mourn for Hugo as Kipo and Diego sadly lost her former nemesis, now ally and brother.

Five years later

Kipo is walking through a rebuilt Las Vista as her dream of humans and Mutes coexisting in peace is now reality. She is seen visiting Hugo's statue to give him a status update about what's been happening.

About Wolf's Corgi had puppies. Neku is a greatest doctor. Benson and Troy have a highly rated restaurant. The mutes and humans are thriving in their new city. Dave is a lecturer. 

Diego finally confessed Kipo how he was in love with her which she replied the same until sharing a kiss, officially became a couple before placing a cupcake and a bouquet flowers on statue as gift to their late brother, wishing him a happy birthday then goes to have a picnic with their friends and family.
