Personality: very optimistic, kind cheerful and brave boy. He's very mischievous sometimes but loves his family so much.
Appearances:
He had dark skin and his Hair is like fiery color and has leaf markings on both his arms. He wears an orange poncho, yellow shirt and black short. He doesn't wear shoes but only bare feet. His eyes resembled a sunset.
Powers:
His fire doesn't harm anyone, instead grant wishes, like blowing a birthday candle. Anything he touch becomes a magical thing. As long as they believe in magic and understand the true miracle. Only those pure hearts can be grant magic.

Luz was Alma's little brother after meeting Pedro and he loves to believe in magic or miracle. He was happy to see his sister married until he couldn't get up due to his sickness that cannot be cured but he gave them a candle he made as a gift to wish for their happiness before he passed on but his spirit didn't fade. He prayed to the Candle Maker, the ancient being, for him to remain in the living world to watch over his sister and his brother-in-law. The Candle Maker granted his pleas and bestow him magic as well. He watches over them through the ages until bandits came to burned the houses. Luz was devastated to see his brother-in law gave up his life to save his sister and his people.
That's when he touches the candle he made for them and wished to protect his sister, as result he turns into a flame spirit that grant wishes and used his magic to save her people from the bandits, creating a perfect place for them.
Alma wasn't unable to see Luz but he created Casita just for her and her children as a safe haven. He was glad to see Alma trying to keep the miracle alive but he felt a broken heart within her, the fear which shut her emotions away, much to his disappointment.
Over the years, Luz kept watching Alma's family, receiving gifts which according to his point of view however it was not enough for Alma since he could still feel her broken heart. Luz also seems not happy how the townsfolks relied on the magic for their everyday lives and not something for themselves. Suddenly, He noticed the cracks on Casita, realizing that the magic he cast on is getting weaker. Luz used his magic to fix Casita but it couldn't contain its form much longer, much to his worry.
Then, he noticed that Casita didn't bestow Mirabel a gift for her. Luz wondered why until he went into her room, planning to peer into her heart until Mirabel saw him, much to his surprise that the fact she can see him. He used his magic to put her to sleep and realize what the reason is.
Years later, Pepa's youngest son, Antonio, is gifted with the ability to communicate with animals, and the family poses for a picture but neglects Mirabel.
Mirabel saw cracking and the candle's flame flickering, but her warnings go unheeded when the Casita appears undamaged to the others. Luz knew that she might be the key to save the miracle so he appeared before her since she was the only one who can see him and befriended her. He sometimes gives hints or advice to Mirabel which made her resolve in saving the magic.
When Mirabel found out about Bruno's vision, she demanded Luz what it could all mean and thought she might destroy her family and the house. Luz stated that maybe it's not what the vision meant. He hides himself whenever her family comes around, but was devastated when Alma still believes that Mirabel was the cause after the dinner was ruined.
As everyone flees the chaos, Mirabel and Luz follows a group of rats and discovers a secret passage behind a portrait. There they encounter Bruno, who reveals that his vision of Mirabel would have put her at odds with the family, so he broke the vision and went into hiding to protect her, concealing himself within the house's walls so he could still be near them. Bruno reveals that the vision could change, meaning that Mirabel would either destroy the Madrigal family or heal its rifts. Luz noted to Mirabel that if she can fix it by seeing what's going to happen.
At Mirabel's urging, he reluctantly conjures another vision. At first, it goes the same way as the previous one, with Mirabel still standing in front of a broken Casita. However a golden butterfly appears, and the vision changes into an image of Mirabel embracing a woman, however Luz used his magic to tampered with the vision which the woman whom they identify as Isabela, rather than his sister.
Luz didn't want to tell her as she watched the sisters reconciled which he was glad she managed to fix Casita but he watched Alma accuses Mirabel of causing the family's misfortunes out of spite for not having a gift. Mirabel blames Alma for the immense pressure she imposes on the family. Their rising argument weakens the candle again and creates a that splits a nearby mountain and demolishes the Casita.
Despite Mirabel's efforts to save it, the candle dies in her hands, leaving all the Madrigals powerless and Luz weakened, almost fading away. While the family and several locals assess the damage, a guilt-ridden Mirabel leaves the town, with Luz followed her.
After a few hours of fruitless search, Alma finds a tearful Mirabel back at the river where Pedro died. She explains how, in her determination to preserve the magic, she ignored the toll it took on her family and finally takes responsibility for what happened.
After hearing Alma's tragic backstory, Mirabel tells her that despite her flaws, she is the one who brought and protected the family together all these years.
After a golden butterfly appears, they reconcile and Luz got his magic back, and Bruno appears and confronts Alma to defend Mirabel, unexpectedly cheering her up with his return. They reunite with the Madrigals, and the townspeople arrive to help them rebuild the Casita. When the house is rebuilt, the Madrigals give Mirabel a gleaming doorknob with an M on it. When she places it in the front door, the magic springs back to life, restoring the Casita and all the family's gifts and spreading through the town. The Madrigals pose for another family picture, this time with Mirabel and Bruno included.
Luz was happy to see Alma smiling again, managing to move on. He was about to leave when Mirabel invited him to the Casita but much to her discovery that her family can't see him, revealing that he was a flame spirit and it was time for him to pass on. Mirabel cried, begging him not to leave when the moment she hugged him, her family can see Luz, much to Alma's shock.
Alma hugged her little brother, telling him how much she missed him so much as Luz told her that he's always been with her, watching over her family. It was his time as Luz told Alma to treasured her family. Luz smiled happily in the end before he turned into a flame that lit up the candle, continuing to watch over his family.
