Personality: Rutherford grew up rich. There is no way around it. With a name like Rutherford, of course he grew up rich. This is important, because it translates into who he is. Things were handed to him, practically his whole life. Shaped and molded by his father to take over the business, Rutherford is a strict, cool, demanding man. With a voice like deep thunder, serious and booming, he's hard to ignore. His aura is strong - he takes nothing from no one, he accepts nothing less than perfection, and he gets what he wants. Always. Whether through takeovers, strict orders, or a simple look, Rutherford gets what he wants. Dominating in the board room, he's is equally so in his personal life. He has two assistants at all times, on call 24/7. He has a driver, he has a personal chef and cleaner. Definitely coming off disrespectful at times - though he doesn't see it that way, society just doesn't have it right - he does have a certain amount of respect for those that work for him. Backstory: Raised in his father's image, he at this point far exceeds him. When people hear the name Swinden, they tend to think of his father, Gustavo. Now? Now most think of Rutherford. Yes, he was a pampered rich boy, but he did work for his degrees. Very business savvy, and great at finding loopholes, he had earned himself a strong reputation within the first year of working for his father's company after graduation. Having gone to a boarding school in England, his accent is a little wonky sometimes, and he does feel a strong connection to England despite being American, he is in the transition process of running the International England Office of his father's company, called Swinden Enterprises, having just moved out there for a more permanent stay. He's taken over and incorporated numerous small businesses into the fold of SE, and will continue to do so. He has managed to keep his life relatively private, though a few years back he had a very public relationship with a fashion model, even getting engaged, before things ended badly. That was three years ago. Since then, he's kept his private life even more private - he blames the press and public, in part, for the deterioration of his relationship, which he'd been in since high school. He'd met her at their boarding school. After a long, long relationship, he took a lot of time to focus on himself. After the breakup, he got more stormy, a little less in control of himself, and far more intimidating as a boss. Able to focus more on work, it certainly paid off. He's made excellent strides in the company these last three years, hence the transition to the England office.
