Backstory ~ being one of the youngest/ weakest link always left Nerissa as a burden to her Pod, not contributing or benefiting enough to their community to be worth their time. And due to the hierarchy system ingrained in their daily lives, this meant Nerissa had to fend for herself with the rest of the other lower ranks. Fighting for a chance at the table.

Extras ~ These headstrong creatures crave the freedom that the sea provides, swimming where they please, whenever they choose. Their fierce independence and refusal to conform are combined with a headstrong personality. Mermaids hold very strongly to their values and won't compromise when it comes to how they live their lives.
