Name: Iris

Species: Anthropomorphic Canadian Gray Jay, with some Blue Jay mixed in.

Physical Description: Iris is a tall, slender, pale blueish-gray bird with dark gray wings, a dark gray patch over one eye, violet eyes, and a pale mist-blue beak and chest marking. She has two piercings, that alternate between being silver and purple, one nose ring, and one belly button industrial. Her tail is of average length and consists of pale blue-gray, dark gray, and mist-blue. She has a large diamond marking on her back, a nod to an earlier character of mine, who I've since discontinued, and a relatively small beak and large eyes. Her legs are long, and she enjoys wearing jewelry, such as chokers and anklets.

Personality: Iris is bold, sassy, and a massive flirt, but she gets very flustered when the flirting is returned. Especially by her partner, Blaire. She's energetic and social but can come across as a bit aloof, or proud. Iris is very vocal about what she loves, dislikes, and believes in, and won't hesitate to stand up for herself, and others. She's not a pushover, but if someone needs help, she'll usually offer first. One problem of hers is that she's a bit tone-deaf, and sometimes can't understand or pick out when someone is annoyed, angry, or needs space.

Age: 19- With lots of my characters, their age evolves with mine, (For example, if I'm fourteen and turn fifteen, they also become fifteen,) but this isn't the case with Iris. She remains 19 in every case, and for the foreseeable future, that's how it'll stay. This is mainly to avoid problems with potential relationships and shipping.

Mother: Vanna, a slender, very pale blue jay with large blue eyes, white dapples, long legs and a short tail. (Blue Jay)

Father: Orion, a heavyset, tall, black jay with gray tips on his feathers, aqua eyes, and broad wings. (Gray Jay)

Little sister: Brooke, a broad-winged, small, black-and-white jay with dark blue eyes and a short tail. (Blue-Gray Mix)

Likes: Music, jewelry, piercings, Blaire, sweet foods and soda, collecting things, such as bottle caps and shells, video games, fall and winter, art and animation, socializing, stars and astrology, dancing, staying up late.

Dislikes: When things break, bland foods, boring rooms, math, (Numbers in general), being away from people she finds important, (Blaire), avocados, and the color orange.

Backstory: Iris was born into a relatively healthy, functional family. She had a simple childhood, but her middle school days were plagued by bad grades, causing her to have to have tutors for multiple summers, which she despised. She was always proud, and bold, and got into disagreements with teachers and her parents often, which made her a familiar face in the principal's office. High school rolled around, and her grades improved enough to give her more freedom, halfway through her first year, Blaire moved to town and started school in the same class. Iris admired Blaire, and despite denying being anything but straight, found them very attractive. They became fast friends, despite how different their personalities and styles were, and after that, could be seen in every class together, and even outside of school. Eventually, the friendship progressed past just friendship, when the two developed feelings for each other, and started dating, sneaking around under Blaire's conservative parents. Blaire was Genderfluid, and queer, and her parents didn't like that, becoming even stricter, preventing the two young lovers from seeing each other. But, they pushed through, and by the time Iris was 17 and Blaire was 18, they cut their hair, and left her parents' house, more by force than by choice, moving in with Iris, their relationship flourished, and they remained together to this day, planning on moving out and starting a whole new life together.

Other info, Facts, and Trivia:

-Iris's favourite colour is purple.

-Iris is one of my four current main sonas.

-She is incredibly afraid of bugs, specifically spiders.

-She doesn't have any allergies.

-Iris was created in October and originally had Sectoral Heterochromia, which then changed to solid violet.

-Iris had glasses in a very early draft of her character.

-Iris is my only character to feature a belly button piercing!

-She's a mix between Gray Jay (Father, and father's side of the family) , and Blue Jay (Mother, and Mother's side of the family)! Although she presents mainly as a Gray Jay, she has not inherited as many of her mother's qualities.

-Iris enjoys a style similar to the Star Grunge aesthetic, with more broad colour use.

-Iris has a fursuit version in its early stages!
