Physical Description: Blaire is a sturdily built, silky-furred, pale tan and pale brown fennec fox with brown freckles on her thighs and face, large, expressive ears, and ocean-blue eyes. Her tail design varies in length- at times appearing as long and silky, and at times drawn as a nub, although the long design is more typical. She has a fluffy tuft of short hair that commonly covers her eyes or at least spreads around them. She has multiple piercings; a hoop helix, and a gauge in one ear, and a double-pierced chain in the other. She also has snakebites and an eyebrow piercing, but doesn't wear them all the time. Her style is more grunge/emo/alt, and she adores oversized clothing- maybe a bit too much. Jewelry is a special interest of hers, and she's almost always seen wearing bracelets, anklets, and of course, earrings. She has tips of white on her ears, tail, and a few of her toes. 

Personality: Quiet and reserved around those she doesn't know, Blaire sometimes finds it hard to start conversations and meet new people. But as soon as she does actually get to know someone, she's your best friend. She loves music and enjoys discussing her interests with people- notably, Iris. She hides everything under a tough exterior, but really, she's quite a softie, enjoying being held, talked to, and loved. Blaire experiences mood swings often, and struggles with depression and anxiety, resulting from a rough childhood. She's quite laid back and introverted, and rarely loses her temper around anyone. She keeps her friends close, and is protective of them, hardly letting them out of her sight in crowded places. This is extra important with Iris, due to the fact that she's undeniably social, and wanders off a lot.

Mother: Celeste, a willowy, tall, pale golden-brown fennec with slanted blue eyes, a long tail, and a white stomach. 

Father: Mica, a large, broad-shouldered, dark brown fennec fox with a tattered ear, black paws, black ear tips, and yellow eyes. 

Likes: Music, jewelry, staying up late, the night, stars, salty and savoury foods, oddities, such as bones, flowers, collectible objects, rocks, etc, drawing- even though she's not great at it- singing, being around Iris, sleepovers, piercings, energy drinks, rainy days.

Dislikes: Her parents, being yelled at, loud/crowded places, hot weather when sodas/drinks lose their carbonation, itchy clothing, most schoolwork, getting dirty.

Backstory: Blaire was born into an unstable, unhealthy home. Her parents had fallen out of love, but wouldn't split- due to their pride, religion, and monetary reasons- and fought constantly, and Blaire grew up lonely without siblings, or the attention of her parents. She sought approval, but rarely found it, and eventually stopped trying. In her teenage years, she became rebellious, getting piercings and buying untraditional clothing against her parents' wishes. They were extremely religious and became strict over her life and body to save their appearance in public. Blaire at the time knew she wasn't cis or straight, but didn't tell her parents for fear of being punished or even kicked out. She struggled with depression throughout most of middle school but coped on her own, knowing that her parents wouldn't believe her, or care. The school wasn't really a safe space for her, but it was better than home, so she rarely skipped and maintained fairly good grades. Eventually, her family moved, which Blaire welcomed since it gave her a chance to make a new life for herself and leave behind the miserable memories that clung to her childhood home.

 And when she arrived at her new school, she met Iris. Iris was a light in the dark for Blaire; they became fast friends despite their vastly different upbringings and personalities and quickly became each others' rocks. Eventually, it went past just innocent friendship, and the two became a couple in secret, dodging around Blaire's unsupportive parents, and Iris's family who had told her she wasn't allowed to date until she was older. Eventually, Blaire's parents found out and banned the two young lovers from seeing each other, but their efforts failed, and they stayed closer than ever. By the time Blaire turned 18, she cut her hair- something that she'd been wanting to do for years and moved in with Iris, whose family welcomed and cherished her, finally allowing their daughter permission to date her. They remain together, currently saving up to move away and start the next chapter of their lives together! 

Other Info, Facts and Trivia:

-Blaire was originally Genderfluid!

-As an interesting tidbit, while Iris uses her tail to fan out and make herself seem taller/bigger, Blaire uses hers as a tool to make herself seem more compact/small in tense scenarios. 

-Blaire and Iris inspired my first two Human OCs, Sasha and Lyric, who may have a book, and their own chapters coming soon! 

-I also considered having her be Hypersexual but decided against it before writing her chapter.

-Blaire's favourite food is lemon chicken, from a certain Chinese restaurant near her home. 

-She has an intolerance to large amounts of dairy, though she can still enjoy things like Ice Cream. 

-She has a smoking habit that she picked up in her mid-teens, which Iris is trying to cure her of.

-Blaire enjoys a grunge style, but doesn't mind dressing up every once in a while for Iris, usually In some sort of formal attire, like a suit.

-Blaire has the most piercings out of any of my characters so far! 

-She has suspeced ADHD which has never been diagnosed, due to the fact that her parents were very reluctant to take her to the doctors or any professional help center when she was young.
