Backstory: mai was born in China but after being  terrorized by the peacock Her father his her in a basket hoping to keep her hidden and safe it was a dumpling basket. She was sent far off to a village east of the jade palace and China being found my a young widowed female sheep who decided to raise her. She became a dumpling shop owner after her adopted mother past away .
