Records: The Shokubutsu No Hebi is a mushi. Its name translates into 'Plant Serpent'. This mushi is known to rest as a plant with eight leaves and a long stem going above the leaves. The whiskers of the mushi would serve as the roots in this form, and its eggs are carried underneath the legs and wings when it's active, and when resting the eggs appear next to the leaves except for the first pair. The leaves will serve as legs, ears, and wings. The mushi's eggs will appear as round black berries, but if you try to pick them, the entire plant will disappear underground. This mushi is strange because it can be seen by even those not attuned to the world of mushi. This mushi is very common in woodlands and will scare the pests of crops away from itself and the surrounding plants. This mushi can be very useful for farmers, and is active at night. This mushi will hibernate during winter, but pests will still be scared away from crops.
Diet: Usually eats insects at night, sometimes the occasional mouse. Will eat kouki. Derives necessary vitamins, minerals, and liquids from the ground when resting/hibernating.
Will hang around when: You put bowl of kouki in the middle of your field and/or in front of your house.
Will go away when: You burn it down using fire or mushi smoke.
History: Has been helping farmers for centuries. This mushi has sparked legends about a plant that promises good luck to those who don't kill it.
