Appearance: For the most part, Maverick doesn't really stand out. He's of average height, standing at 5'9, and average build; with not much muscle nor fat. He has short/medium light blond hair, but they contain a sort of curl/wave to them so basically the length depends on how curly it is that day. Mave has pretty fair complexion, with lighter skin that he can never get to tan. The one major unique thing about him is his eyes, because he has heterochromia colors. His left is a light green color and his right eye ranges in shades of blue, though its often a darker shade.

Personality: Mave is a big softy, with an impossibly large heart and an overwhelming amount of empathy. He wants to keep everyone happy, and will do anything to make sure they are. Maverick believes everyone is amazing in their own way, well, everyone but himself. While he loves giving out meaning compliments and making people smile, if he receives compliments himself, he has problems believing them and will often try to deflect them.

Despite being loving and enjoying being around people, Mave is naturally suspicious of anyone who gives him even the slightest bad feeling. Thought even if he doesn't trust someone, he'd risk his life for them. This is because Mave is incredibly selfless; feeling everyone is better than him. He'd give away everything he had if it made someone grin at least a little.

Maverick is pretty realistic though, and quite blunt. Often he tries to soften his words, but he wouldn't lie so if you ask for the truth, he'll give it to you straight. Mave is optimistic though, because he wants to do whatever he can to brighten people's days.

While Mave is an introvert, needing to unwind alone every once in a while, he is surprisingly charming and social. Just because he sometimes needs his alone time, Mave is quite the social butterfly because he absolutely adores people and wants to hang out with them all the time.

Maverick is also a risk taker, mainly to push himself out of his comfort zone. So challenge him to something, and he'll go and do it. Unless it puts someone else in danger. Most of the time, Mave tries to get other people out of there comfort zones, but he's extraordinarily supportive, so he will go at whatever speed they need.

Backstory: Maverick is the oldest child of three sisters and one little brother. He never had a traumatic life per se, but he basically lived in his father's shadow for his entire life. Maverick's mother raised him to be kind and loving, but never complimented him out of a dislike of his eyes. This never really bothered Mave, because he was never bullied of insulted, he just didn't get complimented. Which had led him to get really awkward around them now. His father was the "perfect" man. Business savvy, talkative, optimistic, rich. But loved Maverick's sisters more than Mave and often neglected to show affection to his sons. The most conversation Maverick has had with his father is him being groomed to take over their business, a makeup laboratory that tests on animals, which Maverick thinks is corrupted and thus hates. The moment Mave could, he moved out of his parent's house and into an apartment, abandoning his job as 'heir' to the business and getting a job at an animal shelter while he goes to school to be a veterinarian. He doesn't have much contact with his mother; like always, and barely any with his father; who is mad at him for leaving. He does, however, have plenty of contact with his siblings; who he has always been close with.

Other: He's the third namesake of the name James West. But he goes by Maverick, his middle name because its unique.
