Lightbulb's P.O.V.

Man, if I could choose a day to be the worst day ever, I would choose the day when Paintbrush left. They were eliminated and had to leave the game.

I was sitting somewhere, thinking about them. Nothing is fun anymore when they aren't around. Even chasing my tail isn't fun when Painty isn't there. They used to ask me why I was chasing my tail, facepalming.

Suddenly, MePhone interrupted my thoughts by calling everyone. We had to gather at the elimination place.

"Well, since you all are such idiots, I had to take a break and wash my fur and have a mental health break. Such a nasty fate!" MePhone said, covering his face with his paw to make it even more emotional. Oh, that's why he was gone! "And now that I'm here again, someone will be eliminated. Shocking, really."

The elimination was pretty tense, but I ended up being eliminated.

"Well, looks like the last and brightest Bright Light is gone. Buh-bye, Lightbulb." MePhone said.

I stood up. On the one hand, I was pretty sad, but on the other hand, I could finally see Painty again.

"Welp, bye everyone." I said.

I waved my cat tail as a goodbye and went through the portal.

I then was in the hotel. The portal behind me disappeared. I saw Painty sitting on the couch, licking their paw in boredom. I ran up to them happily.

"Painty!" I shouted, jumping onto the couch and hugging Painty.

"Lightbulb!" Painty exclaimed. They hugged back, laughing and smiling. I purred happily, loving the welcome. Painty started purring too.

We both kept hugging each other, purring. We then let go of each other.

"So, how's the game like?" Painty asked.

"Pretty rough, y'know. People now start realizing it's becoming serious." I explained. Painty nodded.

"Here at the hotel it's pretty relaxed. Yeah, Yin-Yang keeps making trouble and scratching the furniture instead of the scratching poles we have here, but still, I'm already glad I don't have to listen to MePhone anymore."

We both laughed. I leaned against Painty. I was so glad I was back with them. First of all, they're like my best friend, second of all, I might have developed a crush on them... Well, since I am together with Painty again, might as well tell them.

"Painty?" Paintbrush looked up. "Yeah?"

"Well... you know we are pretty good friends right?"

Painty nodded.

"Well, I think I have developed a crush on you..."

Painty's ears perked up. "What?"

"Yeah... I have a crush on you, Painty..."I blushed while saying this, my ears and cheeks turning a soft shade of pink.

Paintbrush smiled. They came closer and softly nuzzled my cheek with their nose, purring. The tips of their ears were a slight pink and so was their face.

"I feel the same, Lighty."
