Looks: Ann has pale skin and a light scattering of freckles on her arms.  She has a round face with blue eyes, and has light blond shoulder length curly hair that is usually pulled up in a ponytail tail, with a braid going around the side of her head.  She's short, at 5'3, and is skinny.  

Clothes: Her uniform consists of the top half of a female duty science uniform worn as a shirt, and the same color skirt.  She made the alterations to her uniform herself as she felt the standard dress was too short, but didn't want to put anyone else through the trouble.  The only other difference in her uniform is that it's slightly more turquoise, and she wears leggings underneath instead of stockings because she detests stockings.

Backstory: Went to Starfleet academy, and although she did fine, she dropped out in favor of her budding career as a musician.  Through recommendation of former classmates and teachers, as well as her father's position in StarFleet, she was later brought on the Enterprise as an entertainer to hold concerts in the mess hall and "lift the spirits of those on board."  When Sulu left his position as a botanist to move onto the bridge, they had trouble finding another, so under Starfleet's guidance from afar, she finished her degree aboard the ship and took the position. She rekindled a close friendship with Kirk (they had met at SF academy), and taking notice of this, one of the members of the head of Star Fleet got in contact with Ann and asked that she begin accompanying Kirk on more missions because he felt that Kirk tended to send missions south due to his tendency to pick up random women, so maybe if there was a girl to keep him in check missions might go smoother.  Ann is uncomfortable with this request, as she is to keep this information from Kirk, but she takes it anyway as it means spending more time with him. What will Kirk do when he finds out Starfleet enlisted a babysitter for him, and his closest friend no less? Ann is a less respected member of the ship, as people feel she cheated her way on, but she tries to do her job as well as possible to show she's capable.
