Jay woke up to Carlos screaming. He looked over and saw Carlos crying in his sleep, he ran over and grabbed Carlos shoulders.

"Carlos! Carlos! Wake up, it's all a dream! She can't hurt you anymore, I promise!" Jay yelled as he brought Carlos To his chest. Carlos widened his eyes and started to thrash around but Jay held him close. Carlos started to breathe heavy and Jay placed his head on Carlos'.

"Jay?" Carlos asked as Jay hummed. "Am I dreaming?" Carlos asked as Jay shook his head and kept his arms around Carlos.

"No, this is real. You're awake, and she can't hurt you anymore." Jay said, referring to his mother, and Carlos gripped onto Jay's tan arms and Jay rocked them back and forth.

Jay kept his grip on Carlos, till he heard Carlos soft snores. Jay took a deep breathe in and laid Carlos back on his bed, he pulled up his blankets and saw Dude staring at him. Jay moved his brown hair from his face and he rubbed Carlos' hair before walking back to his bed.

He layed in his bed, and looked back to Carlos. His brown eyes traced Carlos' sleeping body, and he saw Dude walked over and laid his head on Carlos' chest. Jay smiled and layed down and went to sleep, but he dreamed of Carlos blood curling screams.

Jay placed his beanie over his hair, after brushing his hair, his eyes went over to Carlos' sleeping body and he pulled out his phone and texted Evie to come over to their room. He looked back at Carlos and saw Dude was looking over at him.

They was having a staring contest you could say, but Evie's knock cause Jay to snap back to reality. He walked over towards the door and opened it saw Evie standing there with Doug.

"Do you need me to watch Carlos again? Cause if so, Doug is staying." She said as Jay grabbed her wrist and brought them outside.

"Okay I don't care, but his nightmares are coming back. I need to get to Mal to make more of his things that he took back in Isle of the Lost, so you need to stay here and make sure that when he starts to scream that you wake him up and just comfort back to sleep." Jay commanded as the two teens nodded. Jay smile and patted their arms before running off to find Mal.

Evie sighed as they walked inside Jay's and Carlos' room and saw Carlos was sleeping on the end calmly, but Evie didn't miss the twitching he was doing.

"Why is Jay acting strangely about Carlos all the sudden?" Doug asked as the pair walked over towards table and Evie looked over at Doug.

"Jay is protective over all of his friends." Evie said as Doug raised his eyebrow over at him.

"But he's really protective over Carlos, like he'll let you and Mal walk outside by yourselfs, but why not Carlos?" Doug asked as Evie sighed and looked over at Carlos.

"There some things that comes out for Auradon while some things stay in Isle of the Lost." Evie said as Doug looked over at Carlos and he looked back at Evie.

"Was he mistreated?" Doug asked as Evie looked over at him with her brown eyes clouding with tears. Doug nodded and he hugged Evie, but his green eyes looked over at Carlos sleeping body.

The two just watched tv and only had to wake up Carlos three times, they finally gotten bored as soon as Jay walked in with a bag of cookies. He smiled and nodded at the couple who smiled and walked out to go one some date.

Jay placed the cookies on the table and looked over and saw Carlos was still sleeping. He smiled and grabbed on cookie and walked over towards Carlos, and shook his shoulder.

"Carlos wake up. I got some cookies from the dining hall." Jay lied as Carlos opened his eyes and saw the cookie in his hand, he smiled and took the cookie from Jay's hand and began to eat the cookie, and Jay saw he was looking more relax.

"I'm sorry about last night." Carlos said as Jay smiled and shook his head.

"Nah it's fine, besides it wasn't your fault." Jay said as Carlos smiled and Jay stood up.

"We should get going, we have practice." Jay said as Carlos groaned and flipped over on his face.

"I don't want to go! I suck at sports, I want to hang out with Dude today." Carlos said as Jay laughed.

"You always hang out with Dude, besides this will do good. Sports takes away stress, come on. I always have your back." Jay said as Carlos looked over at him and Jay smiled and Carlos sighed and got out of bed.

Jay went to grab their sports equipment and he saw Carlos telling Dude not to trash their room while their gone, Jay laughed and the two walked out and over towards the field. Jay gave Carlos his uniform and they met with the coach and Carlos frowned as he sat down on the bench, knowing that he won't play in the big game.

"I didn't know you played sports." Aziz said as he sat next to Carlos, who jumped and faced Aziz.

"I only play because of Jay." Carlos said as Aziz nodded.

"Well go show me your skills." Aziz said as Carlos widened his eyes and looked over at Aziz and shook his head.

"I'll never make it to the big game so why even practice?" Carlos said as Aziz laughed and placed his hand on his shoulder. None of the two caught Jay staring over at them.

"Hey don't give up, besides from what Ben tells me you're a great player." Aziz said as he flashed a smile and Carlos rolled his eyes but turned red.

"Ben is always telling people their great, besides I only play for Jay." Carlos said as Aziz nodded.

"Well for today you're playing for Aziz." Aziz said as he pushed Carlos off the bench and pushed him towards the players, Carlos was trying to get away and the coach laughed.

"Thanks Aziz for finding our lost player." The coach said as Aziz nodded and looked over at Carlos and smiled at him.

"You'll do fine." Aziz whispered before walking off. He walked over towards the bench and gave Carlos a thumbs up and Carlos smiled. Jay scoffed and looked over at Carlos with a pout but put on his helmet so he could play the game.

"Jay! You got my back right?" Carlos asked as he tugged on Jay's sleeve who smiled at Carlos and gave him a side hug.

"Always." Jay said as the coach blew the whistle and Jay kept his word. He had Jay's back and Carlos had Jay's back.

Jay sat on his bed playing some video game while listening to Carlos talking to Dude. Jay scoffed at Carlos and Carlos looked over at him and rolled his eyes.

"Dude says you're rude but funny." Carlos said as Jay laughed.

"Well tell Dude I don't care about his opinions." Jay said as Carlos smiled and Jay rolled his eyes as Carlos went to tell him. Jay jumped up as he beat the high score and Carlos looked over and smiled at Jay.

Jay looked over at Carlos who was getting under the blankets, and Jay jumped up and ran over to the table and grabbed a cookie and walked over towards Carlos.

"Here eat this before you go to sleep." Jay said as Carlos raised his eyebrow and took the cookie.

"But I brushed my teeth already." Carlos said as Jay sighed and took back the cookie. He bite his bottom lip and Carlos raised his eyebrow over towards Jay.

"That isn't full of that spell you guys used to give me at the island?" Carlos asked as Jay laughed and shook his head.

"No way, Evie made cookies for you and she wanted you to eat them before they go bad." Jay lied as Carlos sighed and layed on his side.

"I'll have some for breakfast then." Carlos said as he turned off his lap. Jay sighed and walked back and placed the cookie in the bag and looked over towards Carlos and he walked back to his bed. He layed down and turned off his lap and didn't fall asleep till he heard Carlos snores.
