11 Scars

In the middle of packing up to leave for the next spot Helen told Laken to drive to where Alysa might be at a modivated Tirzah sits in the car waiting for the boys. Since the phone was on the daseboard Helen got a text from Alysa saying" Hi girl and everyone who's reading this. I want keep you updated with moving forward on the original plan me and my group decided. Hope Y'all find me." Once Laken read the text in the truck ready to go a flush of anger circulated through his veins. He kept his negative vibe to himself since no one wants to be around during his emotional explosions about Alysa. Tirzah senses Laken's hate towards Alysa which isn't the greatest time keeps herself at bay and Laken calm as best as she can. Helen's gag towel was taken off before driving to direct where they're going.

Laken turns to the side looking in the back seat at Helen beginning to ask her about Alysa's where abouts.

" So Helen I know the first location we'll check, but I need to know now if you have any other information to tell me and Tirzah about Alysa."

Helen chuckles and says" You guys know this will take time and the right time will come. I know that Kaemon won't be happy with you to yank back to your side. He'll probably be by Alysa's side when you show up. I know when I get out of your chains I'll be by her side too."

Laken ready to spit back at Helen, but Tirzah glances at him knowing the que to not lose it on her. He replies in a softer tone to Helen" I want to..."

"buzz, buzz, buzz"

Laken reaches for his phone quickly and answers," Yes who is this?"

"It's Lanna and wanted to tell you I found them in the night club last night."

"Oh, I'm glad you got to me sooner than later." he smiles at Tirzah.

"Well you have a pit fall your gonna have to deal with Laken. She is looking forward to many things. Her sneaky wasI know you wanted to call me to see if there in Santa Barbra since I live here and Alysa I heard didn't wanna talk about that night with Kaemon. Anyway I will keep an eye on them as best as I can and call you when you get down here." Lanna replied.

"Sounds good bye Lanna"

"Bye Laken"

Laken hangs up the cell phone turns to Tirzah smirks at her and tells Helen loudly from the drivers seat," Helen, guess what happened. Lanna my friend told me both of them are in Santa Barbra and you told me Alysa rarely traveled down there. You liar to tell me and guide me the opposite direction. Ha! Such a beautiful thing to have connections in Santa Barbra right Helen."

Helen rolls her eye at Laken as he jerks the truck in the other direction towards the freeway. Laken turns on his playlist on his phone to a high volume and no one spoke a word for hours at end. The Santa Barbra sign came into view and Tirzah turns down the music and asks Helen in the back to " please don't start a conflict with Laken. The last thing we need is arguing while trying to capture Alysa." Helen nods agreeing with Tirzah's suggestion.

A sigh came out of Laken as he parked at the hotel. His focused look of determination from the angle of Tirzah's view. She got of the car and pulled Helen out of the car to the room before Quinn came in. Helen with a confused looks at Tirzah.

Tirzah yanks the towel out of her mouth and tells her " You didn't needed to be treated that way. Laken hasn't been himself since that one night. When the time is right I'll let you go and run as fast as you can to a taxi or cab straight home. I wouldn't recommend running to Alysa because of our conflict with her which is probably going to take place pretty soon."

" Tirzah" Helen with a dry mouth said." I kinda of knew you had some soul in you to have the idea to eventually let me go. I really want Alysa to live because she is my best friend."

" Helen I won't let her get killed. I promise. For now be quiet unless he wants you to speak. Got it?" She asked.

" Yes, I understand." Helen said.

Quinn bargs in the room groaning in pain.

" What happened Quinn?"

" Oh Tirzah I got a cut on my forearm because of Drake accidently pulling his knife out of his pocket. I'm doing fine if your wondering." she answered back.

Helen still tied up lays on the floor for the night and Quinn in the shower. Tirzah looks at her own scar from that one time she was hanging with the wrong man. The deep wound on her thigh required stitches which was a horrible experience Tirzah always will remember. She held the necklace Laken gave her before they left the mountain place. A shiny dark blue stone outlined with a smooth silver chain to hang on the neck. Little search marks on the stone or silver. Tirzah puts the necklace back in her bag hearing the guys have a talk outside. For now Tirzah decides to let them speak and she'll talk tomorrow to Laken about Helen. She peaks through the curtain and see Laken leaning on his truck holding a beer in his hand. The light beige skin he has matching the mint green eyes. His muscles quite noticeable and black short hair make him look like a model. She has always known him to rarely grow a beard because of his belief to not be looked at as a hill billy or rancher. Tirzah makes fun of his jawline to Quinn when they are either in the room or outside his vicinity where he could hear them. Quinn in a fresh mood after her shower. talks to Tirzah about Laken and how he isn't happy about anything until he finishes Alysa off on his terms. Tirzah covers the curtain back and goes to sleep asking Quinn to stop rambling at her about Laken.

An early noise around six o' clock awakens Quinn and Tirzah from their deep sleep. Quinn jumps out of bed and looks through the eye hole seeing Drake and Angelo heaving up their bags in the cars. She doesn't happen to see Laken though.
Tirzah turns over stretching her legs and arms for the day in the queen bed at ease.
Quinn smashes on the bed disturbing Tirzahs space.
A chuckle from Quinn lighting up Tirzah's mood.
" I know Tirzah that it isn't easy to lose the love of your life. I totally understand where your coming from. When I lost my boyfriend at age nineteen it was horrible for me to recover from the whole shock."
" I agree. You know Quinn I really regret that one night. Laken wouldn't be as mean overall if that particular night didn't take place. I almost want to support him, but him without any reason in his damn mind to actually yell at Helen like she is an object is in my book not right. Well anyway we need to get ready for the day." she replied.
Both gals got their stuff together and decided to borrow a friends car for the day to get a break from the guys. They will bring Helen with them to keep Laken from getting pissed at her. The car wasn't new but has a lot of room to stuff their baggage inside. As Tirzah throws the last bag in the car Laken stands beside the rear of the car.
" You got a friends car I see." he said.
" Oh jeeze Laken you scared me. What's your problem with us taking a break from you and the guys for once."
Laken steps closer to her with a cold look. " I know your not taking Helen with you right."

Tirzah says in a stern tone " Yes I am because of your shitty attitudes towards Helen which she doesn't deserve."

Laken smirks back at her " So you think Helen should be treated better. She is a best friend of my enemy. How could you not be aggressive towards them. I know you want to tell me in my face that she isn't that dangerous or a racist snake just like Alysa."

Tirzah turns her heels and in a quick stroll towards the room to check on Quinn and Helen. No remark or words come out of either Laken's or Tirzah's mouth. A half of a smile comes out of Helen when she is taken to the new car chuckling at Laken from a couple feet from him. He turned to look the other direction facing Drakes car. Laken decides to hop into his vehicle and let Tirzah lead the way to the location where Alysa might be. Laken's motto of getting the job done on his terms isn't happening this time with Tirzah leading the way. To keep himself distracted with thoughts music is the best tool. A loud hum vibrates from his truck to other cars including Tirzah's in front of him. Tirzah reaches for the radio in the car and Quinn smacks her hand telling her " Your driving a car Tirzah. The last thing we need is getting us both killed because of an accident."
Tirzah drives off the main road so Laken can't follow her and stops for a long pause of silence and thinking. She then takes a side road to the same destination where Alysa resides.
