Chapter Thirty-Five.

I had a hard time dragging the bucket of water into the dining room of Javier—the guy Gabe sold me to—and got down on my hands in needs as I put the scrubber in the soapy water and began cleaning the floor. Apparently he think this is much better than a mop.

I have been here for the past three days doing nothing but cleaning, eating, and sleeping. I’m very tired and all the weight I was gaining was from when I was at Scott’s I was losing again.

It’s not like I wanted to clean up his mansion, but he would yell at me, scaring me. The first day he even stood there as I cleaned his main bathroom just to make sure I did it right.

I’ve learned he deals does drugs. He has a wife and kids back in Florida, but of course he has a mistress who I have seen many times going about in here.

But that wasn’t bothering me. What was bothering me was that Scott has not came for me. Am I really stuck here for the rest of my life or until Gabe grows a conscious? My eyes began to water up again and I cried for the seventh time I was here. I missed Tyler so much. I’m so worried about my baby brother, wondering if he misses me.

Is Scott out there looking for either me or Gabe? The thought of him not broke my heart, but I tried to have faith would find me. But where has faith ever gotten me in my life? My life is a life no one should have.

The doors to the dining room suddenly burst open, making me wake up from my thought and jerk my head up to see Javier and his mistress come in yelling at each other.

“You literally spent seven hundred dollars just to get your hair done, Morgan?” Javier yelled. “What the hell cost three hundred dollars? Dios!”

“Well first I need my roots done, a deep condition, then new extensions. Stop being so fucking cheap!” she hissed as she turned from him, but he grabbed her arms, turning her back around. “Don’t touch me!”

“The others were not as expensive as you.” he yelled.

“Those whores are nothing compared to me. Look, just stop being cheap—”, she began but got cut off when he slapped her. The impact even made me jerk a little.

“Morgan, don’t you dare talk back tone.” he said and she looked at him in fear and nodded. He then smile and moved the pieces of hair that got in her way out of her face, “Hey, come on, don’t give me that look. Go get dressed and I’ll take you out for dinner.”

“Okay.”, she said, leaning up on her tip toes and kissed him before walking around him and left.

Javier then turned, rolling his eyes. He realized I was in here and looked annoyed, “Just don’t sit there. Finish.”.

I jerked at how icy his voice was and began scrubbing the floor again. I heard his footsteps leave the room and when I felt he was a good amount of distance away from the door, I glared at the door and threw the scrub away from me. I hate him so much.

Scott:

My legs were tired and I was out of my breath after an hour and half of running. I had to stop and I dropped down on my stomach. All my brothers stopped and so did my dad. He came up to me and nudged at my arm, Go home Scott.

I snarled, I’m fine, I just need a five second break.

Your running out of energy, you need food in you. You haven’t eaten since you came home and we’re worried—

I shifted back in my human form and pressed my back against a tree, my chest going up and down quickly, “Three days, dad. We lost her scent.”

My dad shifted back, “We could still find it, Scott.”

“How? We lost Gabe’s also somehow. God knows what he could have done with her.”, I said, feeling my eyes water up from not being able to find Abigail. I promised to protective her whatever it was and now I can’t even find her.

My dad slapped my cheek and I looked up at him, “Hey, stop that. Scott, listen to me, you need to go home and eat. You look pale and stressed.”

“I’m fine, dad.” I growled out, tired of him saying that. I’m fine, I can run.

“You need sleep to.” he said. “Scott, I don’t care what you’re going to say next. I saying this as your dad and Alpha as the family, I order you to go home.”

“I’m not going.” I stubbornly said.

He snarled at me, “You’re going, Scott.” he said. “I won’t let you continue going, you can kill yourself doing this. Now.” he said, looking the opposite direction for me to go. He looked back at me, “We’ll continue and tomorrow, you can come with us if you’ve eaten and slept.”

I looked at my dad closely to see he was being serious and knew he wouldn’t let me shift back and continue with them. I knew he was right, but I wasn’t going to admit that right now. But there was no going against my dad.

I hesitated, but nodded, “O-okay, deal.”

“Good. We’ll be back in an hour or two.” he said, shifting back and my brother and dad ran off.

I thought about waiting until they were a couple dozen miles ahead, but my stomach gave me another idea, wanting food, though my heart was aching for Abigail in my arms.

I shifted back into my wolf form and made my way home.

*

When I got home and making Lena make me some peanut butter jelly sandwiches and ham and cheese ones, in total I ate eight added with a big bag of chips. I chugged a can of coke soda, ending it by a loud burp which Lena made a disgust face. As a wolf, I need to eat a lot. I can’t help it.

“I hate it when he’s right.” I mumbled to myself about my dad.

Lena leaned on the island table, “I can’t wait till I turn.”

“Day would be here anytime soon, Lena.” I said as I continued to finished up the Ranch Doritos chips. “Helena Russo, first female wolf to turn in this family. Must suck to be consider the ‘omega’?”

“Hey shut up.”, she said, glaring at him. “I made you all those sandwiches while I could have been helping Tyler to stand on his feet more than five second.”.

The thought of Tyler only made me think of Abigail and all I wanted to do was go find her all night until I pass out from exhausting. I got up from the island table and stretched my tired muscle, “I’m leaving again—”,

“Whoa, what!?”,Lena said in surprised as she came around the table in front of me and stopped me. “Dad said to make sure you stay here all night and rest up.”

Of course he did. Called from a pay phone before I got here and of course got daddy princess to watch over me. “You don’t understand,” I said, walking around Lena. She was only eleven, she doesn’t know what it’s mean to have a mate yet.

She put her hands on my stomach and pushed me back against the island table. Lena was stronger than other girls—hell, she was stronger than a fifteen year old boy thanks to her wolf strength already in progress. “I can’t let you do that, Scott. You’re still a little pale and you got those horrid bags under your eyes.”

I sighed heavily and ran my hands down my first, “Lena, please let me go.” I said, not really up to fighting with my sister since I’m all weak of sleep.

“No.”, she said. “Now don’t make me get mom down here and drag you up to your bed by your ear like she had to when you put that stink bomb at cousin Annabella wedding all the way home.”

I cringed at the thought remember how her manicure nails were digging into my earlobe like she was about to pierce my ear the whole drive home.

“Bed and in the morning, you can go look for her.”, she said.

I glared down at my little bratty sister, “Fine.”. How is that I’m so worried about my poor Abigail and everyone wants me to sleep? She could be locked up somewhere and someone could be hurting her.

*

After catching up on a few hours of sleep, I woke up from a horrible dream and looked at the clock to see it was twelve midnight. Feeling a little better, I got up from my bed and fixed my hearing around the house five extra breathings coming from my brothers and dad, telling me they were sleeping.

I under dress from my briefs and t-shirts, slipping out the window. I began running towards the woods and shifted into my wolf. I knew I wouldn’t be able to find Abigail myself, but I figured out plan B. Who else that probably was with Gabe this whole time could I go to?

After fifteen minutes of running, I came up to Mina’s house. She wasn’t asleep and alone apparently. Cause one, her bedroom lights are one and second, I caught onto a familiar scent. A growl left my lips and my wolf suddenly wanted blood.

I haven’t even gotten the chance to realized Gabe was in town since I was missing school days, meaning I could go into town and I was to focus being out of the state and looking for Abigail.

Suddenly two bodies appeared at the window. I rolled my eyes seeing them two make out. Both to evil people belong together. They made me sick to my stomach.

I shifted back into my human form so my wolf scent wouldn’t be as strong, but I’m sure Gabe isn’t even paying attention other than to Mina. One side of me wanting to attack now. I could do it so easily now, but that would cause too much attention to this small town. The other new I needed to find out what Mina’s knows. I’ll get Gabe later.

It was thirty terrible minutes later of hearing them having sex before Gabe left. The thought of doing something to Mina popped in my mind; Gabe took mine, I can take his. But that was my wolf talking. My human side knew that was a stupid idea to do.

I stuck back home and grabbed a pair of cloths, holding them in my mouth before running back to Mina’s. I got changed into a pair of pants, a t-shirt, and a jacket. I walked up to the front of her house door and knocked on the door.

A minutes later the door opened with a huge smiling Mina, “Back already—oh, Scott?” she questioned in surprised to see me.

“I know you know everything.” I said. It’s hard keeping something like what our family has a secret and I’m sure Gabe told her already.

She just looked at me for a moment before chewing at her button lip, “Yeah, I do. I understand now what Abigail was to you. Of course that was the only way your could fall in love with a girl who mother an alcoholic and father who abused—”,

I grasped the frame of her door and growled, “Mina, don’t start with me.”, I snarled, seeing her eyes pop in surprise at how more wolf I was turning. “Where is she?”

She looked confused, “What are you talking about? She’s sick, like how you’re supposedly should be.”

“Don’t play dumb with me.”, I said. “I’m a very angry wolf right now and I want to know where Gabe has taken Abigail. You’re his mate, he tells you everything.”

“I don’t know, Scott.” she said, giving me an annoyed serious look. She ran her fingers threw her dark long hair and stepped back, “Come in, it’s getting cold out there.” she said since she was only in really short, shorts and a tank top. I glared at her back as she turned and walked into the kitchen before stepping in and closed the door behind her.

I knew Mina’s parents weren’t home—they’re never home.

I fallowed her into the kitchen and we stood on opposite end of her island table, “Listen, Scott, I seriously don’t know what you’re talking about. What the hell does this have to do with me? Or Gabe?”

“Gabe the one that took her—kidnapped her!”

She looked at me surprised, “That’s crazy! Gabe would never do that—”,

“You don’t know him.” I said. I realized I didn’t seem to know him that much either. I believed that he the same guy I called my best friend when I was younger. I believed his act.

She glared at me, “No, you’re lying.” she said. “Gabe isn’t like that, you’re just mad now.”

Now seeing red, I reached over quickly and grabbed her by her tank top, pulling her face near me to where her nose was almost touching. I didn’t yell it, but my voice was hard, “He isn’t who you think he is, Mina. Think back to when we we’re thirteen and at Reese’s party, he was there. We played spin the bottle and I kissed you, he flipped and now he did something with Abigail.”

She was lightly shaking with her eyes bigger than I thought they could ever be. I knew she believed me this time, but she continued to be in denial, “N-no. Let go of me, Scott!” she said, pushing at my chest and I let go of her. She looked at me like I was crazy and pointed out the kitchen, “Get out of my house, now.”

“Mina, I’m not leaving until you tell me something about Gabe.” I said, looking at her serious. “I don’t care what it is, anything. Has he gone anywhere lately or said anything about going somewhere?”

“A-all I know is that he went back to Chicago, about going to see family.” she said. “But I don’t believe what you said about Abigail, you’re crazy.”

Chicago, I thought as I nodded. All I need to know. Gabe and his father never got along, always butting head cause there too much alike. Maybe see his mom, but I hardly doubt that. There is only one other reason Gabe would go back to Chicago.

I turned around and left Mina, heading my way to Chicago.

Abigail:

I looked down the window of the small room I was sharing with another girl, quietly crying to myself as I looked at the moon. I felt all alone and little again. I felt like I was living with my father again. I was in hell.

I rubbed lightly over the small bruise Javier given me when I got in his way and he was already in a bad mood. He wanted the ballroom clean and spotless since this weekend he’s having some auction thing.

I curled up into a ball and cried. I wanted to get out of her, but this place is like a prison. Camera and men all around the mansion.
