Suhani kept lying on the hospital bed, her sister goes to Aditya and tells him that she was back in her senses and Aditya runs towards the ward and sits near Suhani's bed and holds her hand, "Dar gaye the? (did you get scared?)" Suhani asked Aditya.

"Nai, (No)" he said, "Mar gaya tha, (I was almost dead)" he added wiping away his tears and kissing Suhani's hand.

And, there came the theme song of the movie and, it ended, quite soon and, I switched off the Television and started walking towards my bedroom, it was almost 2:00 AM and I was watching a movie with headphones on but, you know, I felt like watching it furthermore, "what are you doing, Vinu?" Nivishthi asked raising her eyebrows. I rarely watched movies but, this movie, Saathiya, had always been my favorite, wherein most love stories marriage is the goal, in Saathiya, it's just the beginning, "Hey, I'm asking what are you doing?" she repeated dragging me out of my thoughts, "I want to talk to you about something," she said in a whisper.

"Something!" I exclaimed, "Well, I know there is just one something you both women are concerned about me right now," I said in a low volumed voice as I folded the headphones.

"Then, why don't you think about it?" Nivi asked, "We both are not gonna be with you forever," she said keeping her hand on my shoulder, "you'll need someone."

"So, does it mean that I'll marry any other random girl?" I asked with a straight face.

"No!" she exclaimed, "you try to meet girls," she said, "ask Shaheera out on a date."

"Are you crazy!" I exclaimed, "if I and Shaheera have a future Mumma would never like it," I said, "you know how she reacted when I said that I shared the berth with a Muslim," I explained.

"Oh, My God! A train berth and your life are different," she said.

"Exactly! she didn't like me sharing a small berth with her, you really think she will allow me to spend a life with her," I said.

"Oh, so you're already imagining your life with her?" she asked me in a teasing manner, "you just talk to Shaheera I'll handle Mumma after that," she added.

"You sure?"

"Of course! I am," she said, "she's single, by the way," she added.

It was a bright sunny morning, the clock was ticking showing the time to be 4:30 AM. I was still wide awake studying for the case in my room which opens in the backyard of my house, I kept it such way as an emergency for when I had to meet clients from home, and, somebody knocked at my door, I assumed it to be Nivi with a cup of tea, after what she said at night to me I thought she wanted to cover it up with a cup of tea. The sound started to get loud and I went to open the door. It was Shaheera, her hair messed up, tears in her eyes and, her face showed worry and fear.

"What happened, Shaheera?" I asked in a worried tone, "is Faheem alright? Are you okay?"

"A- Abhishek," she stuttered, "w- where is Nivishthi?" she asked shaking her hands and stuttering.

"You sit, I'll call her," I said and went into Nivi's room and came back with her.

"Nivishthi, Abhishek fell from the stairs and he was unconscious and now, he's calling just your name," Shaheera said to Nivishthi, "and, I wanted to tell both of you together so I asked you to call Nivishthi first," she said to me and I nodded, "Nivi, please come fast," she said to Nivishthi.

"Vinu," Nivi called me, "Mumma?"

"You go, I'll let her know," I said and both the girls went to Shaheera's home I went into Mumma's room and saw her awake too, "you woke up?" I asked.

"Yeah, just heard someone knocking on the door," she said, "who was it, Vinu?"

"That new tenant, Shaheera," I said, "Abhishek fell from stairs and he was unconscious and now when he's regained consciousness he's taking Nivi's name," I explained, "can I also go?" I asked.

"Yes yes, go," she said, "I'll also come in some time," she added and I left.

'My God, this guy, he is an oldie now still behaving like kids,' I thought while wearing my shoes, 'really, Vineet, you're wearing shoes?' I said to myself and took them off and wore my sandal, 'Sandal?!' I questioned myself and finally wore the chappals and went out of the house. I was chill as I knew that brat is clumsy as hell. I focused on my chappal while walking to Shaheera's house.

"Vinu bhaiya, today in chappals?" A voice reached me from the back, it was Rahul 5'11" tall, a medical practitioner of 25 who lived in the neighborhood asked me from his balcony, "where are you going?"

"Yeah, last night I banged a person named Rahul on his head with my shoes," I said sarcastically and he frowned and I laughed, "Hey, you're an MBBS graduate, aren't you?"

"Could've said a doctor," he said, "anyway, yeah I am, an 'orthopedic' " he said giving extra pressure on his specialization.

"Come with me," I said and waited for him to come down, he came in no time with his bag, "that was quick," I said, "come let's go to Rishi Uncle's house."

"Yeah, I don't hit people with my shoes," he said sarcastically, "so, I got them fast," he added and I clapped and we proceeded to Shaheera's house. The door was wide open, "what if someone gets in, she should close the door," I grumbled getting through the main gate with Rahul and closing it.

"Who's the patient?" Rahul asked.

"You know IPS Officer Abhishek Prajapati?"

"Yes, I do," he said, "is he the patient?" he asked and I nodded, "He lives here?" he asked, "in this house?" he asked this time looking at the old and small walls of the lawn.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked, "No, he doesn't," I added.

"Then, how he's here?"

"Oh, God! You ask him only," I added and banged the wooden door. No response came. I banged it again shouting Shaheera's name and, she came after two-three minutes.

"Vinu, please come in," she said and looked back and forth between me and Rahul.

"Shaheera, this is Dr. Rahul Arora," I introduced Rahul to Shaheera.

"Hello, doctor," Shaheera shook hands with him, "Abhishek fell from the stairs and remained unconscious the whole night, can you please check?"

"Sure," Rahul said.
